Hi fans of Michael Jackson, The Jackson 5 and The Jacksons this is the collection page.
I have been collected since the year 1982 Singles, Maxi-Singles, Albums, Picture Discs, CD Singles, Maxi-CD's, CD Albums, Videos, DVD's, Magazines, Books, also Unofficial and Homemade merchandise.
The first album which I had bought was 'Thriller' on December 1st, 1982 in a record store that and on this moment is the collection enlarged to more than 920 items. Many of my records bought I in record stores and record fairs, it's nice to go there to buy special items like promo's, picture discs, limited editions and books.
Most valued part of my MJ collection: "Thriller Gold Record (Swiss Award)", "Bad Gold Record" and "Multi Platinum Award Thriller 25th".
Any item from my collection is classified by date and pretty secure in furniture cabinets, so I can find the item easily.
Browse around and have a look at the ever-expanding collection, you can find here more info about the Singles, Albums, Maxi-Singles, CD Albums, Books etc... from The Jackson 5, The Jacksons and Michael Jackson, especially only the music, images and books collection.
Note that this collection is not for sale.
The collection's mini-distionary:
7": A 7-inch single is a small vinyl record that generally contains only two songs.
12": A 12-inch maxi-single is a large vinyl record (the size of an album) and generally contains remixes.
Promo/Demo: A disc that isn't intended for commercial sale but reserved for professional use, especially in radios.
Picture Disc: A vinyl record that is illustrated with a photo instead of being black. A CD can also be a picture disc when a photo is printed on it.
Gatefold Cover: An album cover that opens into two equal sections.
Poster Bag: A sleeve that unfolds to form a poster.
Vinyl: The material old-style black records are made of: 7", 12", LP's.
LP: For "long play", a synonym for album.
CD5": A 5-inch CD is a CD-Single or Maxi-CD - the same size as a regular CD (diameter: 5" / 12.7 cm).
Pop-up: Certain gatefold sleeves or covers, are "pup-ups", when you open them, a little cardboard cutout scene.
One-sided: A vinyl disc grooved on only one side (instead of both); 7" promo singles are often one-sided.
Colored Vinyl: The material used to make old-style vinyl records is black by nature, but it is possible to tint it any color. Thus do blue, yellow, red and other-colored vinyl discs exist.
Flexidisc: In the past, certain records used to be pressed in a highly flexible plastic material similar to vinyl. They could be inserted in magazines to promote an artist's newest material. The sound quality, however, wasn't very good.
