The Girl Is Mine (Michael Jackson And Paul McCartney) Maxi-Single CoverThe Girl Is Mine (Michael Jackson And Paul McCartney)

'The Girl Is Mine' is a song recorded by Michael Jackson featuring Paul McCartney and was released on October 25th, 1982 in the USA by the record label Epic. The track was written by Jackson and produced by Jackson and Quincy Jones. It was released as the first single for Jackson's album, 'Thriller'.

The song was about two men fighting over the love of one woman, each claiming that he can love the woman better than the other. It leads into a spoken debate near the end of the song by the two singers with Jackson giving his now famous line: "Paul, I think I told you, I'm a lover, not a fighter."

The cover photograph of Michael and Paul was taken by McCartney's late wife, Linda.

We're Almost There Maxi-Single CoverWe're Almost There

'We're Almost There' is the first single lifted from Michael's album 'Forever Michael', released by Motown on February 2nd, 1975 in the USA. It was later released as a single in the UK on July 17th, 1981 as a follow-up to the chart topping 'One Day In Your Life'. Composed by Eddie and Brian Holland.

As Jackson's voice matured, Motown found it difficult to find material to suit the 16-year-old Jackson, who had sung in a higher voice for most of the duration of his Motown tenure.

The version on the maxi-single is the same as the single version.

My maxi-single is printed in the UK with the series number: 12TMG 977.

Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough (Red Vinyl) [Limited Edition] Maxi-Single CoverDon't Stop 'Til You Get Enough (Red Vinyl) [Limited Edition]

'Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough' is the first single written and recorded by Michael for the album after leaving Motown, 'Off The Wall' on the Epic label, released on July 10th, 1979 in the USA.

This maxi-single is a limited edition, the red vinyl was released in Mexico and housed in a generic Epic company die-cut sleeve. There are different color vinyl's of 'Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough' released in Mexico.

The lyrical content of this song shocked Michael's mother, Katherine, who pointed out the title could easily be misinterpreted! Michael asserted that it wasn't a reference to sex, but that it could mean whatever people wanted it to mean...

It was the lead single from the album as it heralded Michael's arrival as an adult solo performer, and paved the way for a Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough (Red Vinyl) [Limited Edition] Maxi-Singlenew beginning to his musical career. The song hit no.1 on the Hot 100 in the US, giving Michael his first chart topper since 'Ben'.
