I Just Can't Stop Loving You (with Siedah Garrett) [re-issue - Limited Numbered Edition]

I Just Can't Stop Loving You (with Siedah Garrett) [re-issue - Limited Numbered Edition] Single Cover'I Just Can't Stop Loving You' is the first single (re-issue) from Michael's album 'Bad 25', released through Epic Records on June 26th, 2012 in the USA. Individually numbered edition single with number on the back. 'I Just Can't Stop Loving You' was originally released on July 27, 1987.

The song was written and composed by Michael as a duet with Siedah Garrett, after Whitney Houston and Barbra Streisand both turned down the opportunity to record the song with Michael.

Siedah was unaware Quincy Jones wanted her to record the song as a duet with Michael, until she turned up for the actual recording session.

Originally, the song featured a spoken intro by Jackson backed with a longer version of the opening music. This intro was mixed out on future releases of 'Bad' and most compilation albums.

Kelly, who had previously written Jackson's single 'You Are Not Alone'. The single has the same track on both sides and was released by Epic on December 5th, 2001 in the USA.

'Cry' is a R&B ballad, with lyrics that highlight problems with the planet. The lyrics also urge people to unite to make the world a better place. The track, thus, recalls previous Jackson songs that promote peace and environmentalism.

You Rock My World Single CoverYou Rock My World

'You Rock My World' is the first single lifted from Michael's album (final studio album) 'Invincible' through Epic Records on October 5th, 2001 in the USA. However, its release to radio stations had to be brought forward, after two New York stations broke the embargo Sony Music had placed on it.

Written by Michael with Rodney 'Darkchild' Jerkins, Fred Jerkins III, LaShawn Daniels and Nora Payne.

Originally titled 'Rock My World', the lyrics pertain to being in love and trying to gain a woman's affection.

Spoken into by Michael and Chris Tucker - Tucker came into the studio to do a voice party for 'Invincible', but it wasn't until Rodney Jerkins heard it and thought it fitted the mood of the song, that it was agreed to use it for 'You Rock My World'.

The R&B ballad's composition has been attributed by R. Kelly in response to difficult times in his personal life. He then forwarded a bare demo tape to Jackson, who liked the song and decided to produce it with Kelly.

Written by Michael with Bill Bottrell, and recorded by Michael with special guest Slash - from Guns N' Roses - on guitar.
