Jacksons Slam 'Jesus Juice' Claims. 31-01-'04

Pop star Michael Jackson's family was "outraged" by what it dismissed as false claims that he plied a boy he is accused of having molested with "Jesus juice": wine in soft drink cans. The family spoke out after Vanity Fair magazine made a startling new wave of allegations against the star. His legal team is unable to refute damaging press reports because of a strict gag order imposed by a judge. Jackson family spokesman Firpo Carr told journalists outside the Jackson clan's home in Los Angeles that the allegations in the magazine's March issue were "outrageous, inaccurate and baseless".

Jermaine JacksonJermaine Jackson Hits Back At Vanity Fair, MSNBC. 29-01-'04

Stacy Brown, a Jackson family friend who is acting as a consultant on the case for MSNBC TV, conducted this interview with Jermaine Jackson.

The brother of troubled pop star Michael Jackson struck back today at a Vanity Fair story that said Jackson supplied his young accuser with wine in Coke cans and that Jackson has been treated for drug abuse. Jermaine Jackson said the article is full of lies.

What’s your reaction to the Vanity Fair story?

I haven’t read the entire story, I'’ve only been told some of the things in it and I’'m angry.

What are you most angry about?

The story contends that Michael supplied his accuser with wine and that Michael was himself addicted to Morphine and Demerol. It’s the most ridiculous thing. This person (Vanity Fair writer Maureen Orth) doesn’t even know Michael. Everybody is trying to take advantage of Michael. Kick him when he’s down.

Is any of it true? Any part of the article?

Totally false. A big lie. I guess they want me to put on my militant hat and really get angry. Things are made up every day about my brother. The thing about it is that he doesn't’t bother anyone. He stays to himself. The article also names Myung-Ho Lee, Michael’s former advisor, as a source.

Why would Mr. Lee say these things?

Everyone has an axe to grind. It seems every time Michael fires someone or they move on to something else, they sue or at least have something negative to say. Michael has treated all of his employees well, which makes it all the more repulsive when they lie about him.

What about the nicknames such as "Rubba," in which it is alleged that Michael used to call the boy and the accuser in the 1993 case?

You know what, there was a guy that used to head our security team and he had what we thought was a lot of meat behind his neck so we called him Rubba or Rubba Neck. It’s an expression that we'’ve all used. I’'m not saying that he used it with this young man but it wouldn't’t surprise me if people have heard Michael or any of us use that expression.

Will there be an official response to any of this?

Dr. Firpo Carr, our family spokesman, will host a press conference with myself and some family members at our Hayvenhurst home (Friday) at 10 a.m.

Redemption Book Cover'Redemption' Book Is Released. 28-01-'04

The book 'Redemption' by Geraldine Hughes is released by publisher Branch & Vine Publishers.

Geraldine Hughes, the secretary of the lawyer Barry Rothman who it took up 10 years ago for the Chandlers, has brought out a book titled: 'Redemption: The Truth Behind The Michael Jackson Child Molestation Allegations'.

Geraldine has been busy for 7 years with this book , according to her the pop star was completely innocent in that case. "A lot of proofs of Michael's innocent have never seen the out world" she told. "She can no longer keep silence about what she has discovered." " The public need to know what really happened in 1993". In the book there are documents from the court which the public has never seen.

The author is assured of Michael Jackson being innocent. Although this book certainly contains some profoundly issues which had been overlooked by the media all too gladly – it is in some ways hard to read. Continued judicial definitions and repeated bible quotations leave no doubt about the distinct deism of the author. Also it may not be forgotten that – despite all information – that Geraldine Hughes had actually never been present during the conversations between Barry Rothman and his client but attends to the available matters, as well as any other author of this issue does, or to heard word-frazzles when, for example, Evan Chandler left the office.
Without any doubt, 'Redemption' certainly is an immense important book which indeed cannot reveal the backgrounds of the '93 scandal but at least is able to put another aspect on it.

Dionne WarwickDionne Warwick Backs Jackson. 28-01-'04

Singing legend Dionne Warwick has backed pop superstar Michael Jackson, calling child abuse charges against him a "complete injustice".

Warwick, 63, a long-term friend of the troubled singer, dismissed allegations against him at a press conference ahead of a gig she is due to perform in Singapore tomorrow (January 29).

She says, "I think it's a complete injustice, the way it's (the trial) being done.

"I've watched him grow to become the icon that he is, and I wouldn't even consider believing the claims against him,"

Jackson is currently on $3 million bail, facing trial on seven counts of lewd or lascivious acts on a child under 14 and two counts of administering an intoxicating agent.

MJ KidsJackson's Children Interviewed By Welfare Officers. 27-01-'04

Michael Jackson's two young children have been interviewed by welfare officers, after their mother Debbie Rowe expressed concerns about their safety.

Prince Michael, six, and Paris, five, were quizzed by officials at their Beverly Hills, California home, which they share with their father Michael.

The move comes after Rowe reportedly began legal proceedings against her former husband in a bid to win custody of the youngsters.

Rowe has accused Jackson - who is currently facing multiple child abuse charges - of being an "unfit father" and denying the pair a "normal life".

She also claims Jackson is not the biological father of either child and that they were conceived using artificial insemination.

According to a Jackson family source, the children's nannies were also interviewed during the visit, at which Michael was present.

Previously, the singer's parents Joe and Katherine Jackson had pledged to take responsibility for Prince Michael and Paris - and their baby brother Prince Michael II, whose mother is unknown - in the event of Jackson's imprisonment.

Rodney Melville

Judge Seals Documents In Jackson Case. 26-01-'04

The judge in Michael Jackson's child molestation case has sealed bundles of court documents and refused to lift a gag order, ruling it would violate the privacy of all parties involved.

Santa Barbara County Superior Court Judge Rodney Melville has also sealed 82 pages of "sensitive information" indefinitely. Melville believes releasing the material to the media will "complicate the process of selecting an unbiased jury".

Friday's (January 23) ruling gave only hints of the contents of the documents and related tape recordings: a young's boy's accounts of what allegedly happened, interviews with his family, statements which came out during the child's psychological counselling and information about another case 10 years ago in which Jackson was accused of molestation.

Attorneys on both sides of the battle have been barred from discussing the case publicly, but hope they'll be allowed to make public statements to quash unfounded rumours in the case.

Jackson has pleaded innocent to seven counts of performing lewd or lascivious acts on a child under 14 and two counts of administering an intoxicating agent to get the boy to comply.

Police Consider Jackson Security Changes. 25-01-'04

Officials are considering security changes for Michael Jackson's next court date after hundreds of fans surged into the street after the pop star's 16 January arraignment.

Santa Barbara County's police were furious when fans rushed to watch Jackson dance on top of his sports utility vehicle in Santa Maria, California, after he pleaded innocent to child molestation charges.

Police lieutenant Chris Vaughan says, "The whole event could have been prevented if he'd just gotten in his van and driven away. It was like a beckoning to come forward. We're hoping he does not do that again."

Santa Barbara Sheriff's Office
Originally founded in 1850, the Santa Barbara Sheriff's Office is the oldest law enforcement agency in the state.

Authorities from several law enforcement agencies handling security are expected to meet next week (ends January 30) to discuss possible moves to prevent crowding, says Vaughan.

Santa Maria police and the Sheriff's Department are the main agencies handling courthouse security, with help from the California Highway Patrol and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

The next hearing is scheduled for February 13, but it's unclear whether Jackson will be attending.

Debbie RoweDebbie Rowe Seeks Custody Of Children. 25-01-'04

Michael Jackson's ex-wife is so worried about the welfare of their two children she's suing him for their custody.

Lawyers acting for Debbie Rowe, 41, have drawn up an application accusing the singer, 44, of being an "unfit father" and seeking custody for Prince Michael, 6, and Paris, 5.

A source tells British tabloid The Sun, "She (Rowe) points out in the papers that they (Prince Michael and Paris) do not have a normal childhood.

"They don't get to play with other children much, they spend virtually all their time with their father, they don't even go to school, they are tutored at home.

"Debbie says she does not feel the children are growing up like other kids their age. They live as bizarre an existence as their dad does."

Besides the child molestation charges - Rowe is also concerned about Jackson's involvement with the group the Nation of Islam, as he awaits trial on charges of child molestation.

Michael reportedly paid Rowe in a multi-million dollar divorce settlement to give up her rights to the children. However a clause within the deal stated Rowe could seek custody of the children at any time she felt their welfare was at risk.

Jackson's attorney Brain Oxwan states, "You cannot sell children in America.

"So no matter how much money Michael may have paid Debbie Rowe, no matter what the wording of his agreement with her may be, if she decides she wants her children back she can go to court and fight for custody."

Bentley ArnageJackson's Limo: Sorry, Not For Sale. 23-01-'04

A planned auction of Michael Jackson's Bentley Limousine, which had been scheduled for Saturday night (January 24), has been called off. At least for now.

Auto auction company Barrett-Jackson announced that, in agreement with representatives for Michael Jackson, the auction has been postponed. The car might be made available at the Barrett-Jackson's Palm Beach Auction, scheduled to take place March 18-21.

Barrett-Jackson is currently hosting a major collector car auction in Scottsdale, Ariz. The sale of the singer's Bentley was supposed to be a centerpiece event.

On Tuesday night, (January 20) Craig Jackson, president of the auction company and no relation to the Gloved One, made a public plea for someone from the singer's organization to contact the company and tell them what to do with the car.

If Barrett-Jackson did not hear from an authorized representative for the singer by noon Saturday, Craig Jackson told the media, the car would go on the block some time between 6:00 and 7:00 that evening, Scottsdale time.

The agreement to postpone the sale was reached last night.

"Our original plan was to auction the car with the proceeds going to a new charitable foundation sponsored by Michael Jackson," said Rondald Konitzer, a business manager for the entertainer. "However, in light of recent events, the necessary preparations for both the car auction and the charitable foundation could not be completed.

The black Bentley Red Label Arnage was used to chauffeur singers to Jackson's Neverland Ranch to record the song "What More Can I Give?" The single, written and composed by Jackson, was recorded to benefit Music for Giving, which provides funds to groups supporting literacy and cultural education for children.

Many of the singers, including Jackson, signed the car's interior. Signatures include those of Tom Petty, Reba McEntire, Beyoncé Knowles and Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men.

Inside, the car has two DVD players, a custom Dolby "surround sound" stereo system with a six-disc CD changer, three flat-screen monitors and broadcast television reception. Each seat has individual airplane-style audio and video controls, including headphones and its own Playstation game system.

The customized interior has wood door panels, gearshift handle and folding seatback picnic tables. The car also has a voice navigation system. The Bentley has a turbo-charged 8-cylinder, 6.7-liter engine and automatic transmission. It has 13,631 original miles on the odometer.

A Bentley Red Label Arnage is typically valued at about $160,000, according to the website Nadaguides.com. Ordinarily, association with a celebrity adds significantly to a car's value, said Auto appraiser Larry Batton of the Auto Appraisal group in Charlottesville, Va., who is in Scottsdale attending the auctions.

The singer's current legal troubles -- he is being criminally prosecuted for child molestation -- could have significantly reduced the car's selling price, Batton said. He estimated that the car might have sold for about $250,000 at the Scottsdale event.

Stuart Backerman
Stuart Backerman, ex-spokesman for Michael Jackson.

Jackson's Ex Publicist Blasts Nation Of Islam Links. 23-01-'04

Michael Jackson's fired publicist fears the Nation of Islam will wreck the pop superstar's career once his child molestation trial is over.

Stuart Backerman is still convinced his former boss is innocent of all charges, but he thinks the King of Pop has made a "big mistake" in hiring Nation officials to take charge of his affairs.

He says, "Michael's vibe, so to speak, and his message that he puts out in both his music and his being, is in contradiction to the Nation of Islam of what they stand for."

Backerman admits he's more concerned about Jackson's longterm career than his impending court case.

He adds, "Michael has more things to do. The Nation of Islam are creating a situation for him that will have an impact far lasting, far more profound in the longterm, regarding his reputation and who he is as a soul than anything that will happen in this trial, because I believe he'll be exonerated."

Backerman was sacked by Jackson's attorney Mark Geragos after he disobeyed orders not to speak to the press after a December (03) party at the pop star's Neverland home.

Grace Rwarmba
Grace Rwarmba, who is the nanny for Michael Jackson’s three children.

Jackson's Nanny Angry At Recent Rumors. 20-01-'04

The beautiful and quiet woman, who is the nanny for Michael Jackson’s three children, speaks out for the first time. Grace Rwarmba said while she mostly ignores what’s said in the media, she had to set the record straight on a couple of things.

There’s been a lot of talk about you in the media lately. What’s your reaction?
Rwarmba: I’'m flabbergasted. I cannot believe they are interested in me. Neither Michael nor I watch television because of the propaganda. The interest of the media in me is so displaced and potentially troubling. I will not allow the media to shape or mold my emotions with what is written and said about Michael and I.

What is it about you that you’d like people to know?
Rwarmba: If the media really wants to know who I am, why don’t they bring their cameras along with me to underdeveloped or third world countries where six-year-old children are living in the streets without parents. Or go with me where there are earthquake victims in the Middle East and where thousands are dying. Come go with me even closer to home to our emergency rooms in hospitals where hard working people are turned away just because they don’t have health insurance.

What about the non-stop reports that you introduced Michael Jackson to the Nation of Islam?
Rwarmba: Totally false. I did not introduce Michael to the Nation of Islam. In fact, Jermaine Jackson didn’t introduce them to Michael Jackson either.

Are you a Muslim?
Rwarmba: I have strong beliefs in God and have a keen interest in religion and am aware of my spirituality. I have studied the bible with (Jackson friend) Dr. Firpo Carr and Michael’s sister, Rebbie Jackson, and Dr. Carr and Rebbie Jackson are Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Why do you think Michael is again facing allegations of child abuse?
Rwarmba: Satan the Devil. He is behind all of this mess. Stacy Brown, who offers analysis for MSNBC TV, is a Jackson family friend.

Bentley ArnageJackson Bentley Auction In Chaos. 20-01-'04

Michael Jackson's autographed Bentley car will be auctioned for charity this weekend (January 24/25), despite the singer having failed to return any calls to confirm the sale.

Craig Jackson, president of Arizona-based auctioneers Barrett-Jackson, is appealing for Michael to get in touch.

Craig says he has heard nothing from the singer since the investigation into alleged child molestation began in November last year (03).

The 2003 Bentley Arnage Red Label has had its roof signed by the 45-year-old and a number of other celebrities, with all funds raised going to a charity foundation which Craig has no details of.

Craig says, "We are bound by a contractual agreement signed by Michael Jackson. Any deviation from the agreement must come from Michael Jackson.

"I need someone to step up and say this is what Michael wants to do and has authority to speak for him. We need to know what Michael wants to do. He needs to contact us."

The Bentley is set to be placed under the hammer between 6pm and 7pm local time on Saturday (January 24).

Delays Expected In Jackson Case. 19-01-'04

Michael Jackson's next appearance in court is expected to be as late as the summer - because the pop superstar's lawyer is busy with other cases.

Defence lawyer Mark Geragos declared at the 45-year-old 'Bad' singer's arraignment on Friday (January 16) that he is busy with two other criminal cases and can't attend to Jackson's preliminary hearing for at least four months.

Santa Barbara County District Attorney Tom Sneddon suggests it might be six months before the case - where Jackson stands accused of molesting a 12-year-old boy - goes to trial.

The next court date in the case is February 13 for the preliminary hearing. Only the prosecution witnesses are required to testify, as decision can then be made as to whether there's enough evidence for a trial. Jackson will not be expected to attend.

Black PanthersPanthers Party With Jackson. 19-01-'04

Troubled pop superstar Michael Jackson invited members of the controversial civil rights group the Black Panthers to his post-court party on Friday (January 16).

After leaving his arraignment for child-molestation charges in Santa Maria , California, the singer handed out invites to hordes of fans waiting outside the courthouse, asking them to join him at his Neverland Ranch.

Members of the group, now going under the name of the new Black Panthers, were recruiting black youngsters with flyers asking them to "join the cause."

The papers read, "Black Power! Are you tired of weak leadership? Do you want black unity. Are you a revolutionary?"

An aide of Jackson, said the star was "happy" the Panthers had attended, saying, "They have been supporting him through his court ordeal. But he himself is not a member of the group."

The Black Panthers formed in America during the 1960's by black radicals who didn't believe Martin Luther King Jr's non-violent approach to challenging civil rights was effective enough.

Uri GellerJackson Denied Child Molestation Under Hypnosis - Says Geller. 19-01-'04

Troubled superstar Michael Jackson repeatedly denied sexually molesting children during a hypnosis session with pal Uri Geller three years ago.

According to Geller, the pair embarked on a the spontaneous hypnotism at a recording studio in 2001 - and the results of the event have convinced the British-based mystic that his 'Thriller' star friend is an innocent man.

Geller explains, "Some three years ago, I was alone with Michael Jackson in a recording studio and I told him that if he would let me I would hypnotise him. He said, 'Okay, let's give it a try'."

During the time Jackson was under, Geller says he asked him about child abuse allegations made by Jordy Chandler in the early 1990's without having asked the 'Bad' singer's permission.

Geller explains, "He answered me under deep hypnosis that he had never touched a child in a sexual way. He said - and here I'm using his exact words - 'my relations with children are very beautiful."

"I'm a good hypnotist and I know who is trying to mislead me. I can see straight into the subject's eyes. Michael didn't fool me, I'm absolutely sure of it."

Jackson appeared in a Santa Maria, California courthouse on Friday (January 16) to plead innocent to seven counts of child molestation against teenager Gavin Arvizo.

Jordy ChandlerJackson's Past Accuser Jordy Chandler Could Take Stand. 18-01-'04

Lawyers hope Michael Jackson will be convicted of child abuse if his accuser of 11 years ago takes the witness stand.

Attorneys are confident if Jordie Chandler, now 24, tells the court he was abused by the singer, it will prove Michael has a history of molesting children.

In an interview on American TV on Friday (January 16), Chandler's lawyer, Larry Feldman, confirmed his client is willing to give evidence, even though his claims were treated out-of-court in a multi-million pay-out settlement.

Sources have also revealed that a mattress has been removed from Jackson's Neverland Ranch in Santa Barbara, California, during a police search. Reports claim Jackson's current accuser, Gavin Arvizo, has told detectives some incidents of the alleged molestation took place on the singer's bed.

Michael JacksonMichael Jackson Invited Fans Back To Neverland. 17-01-'04

"In the spirit of love and togetherness, Michael Jackson would like to invite his fans and supporters to his Neverland Ranch. Refreshments will be served. We'll see you there."

This is what was written on the invitations that were given out amongst Michael Jackson's fans that gathered for the King of Pop's court appearance yesterday (January 16).

According to MTV, Michael didn't actually spend too much time with his fans, when he arrived he went straight into his home. "He looked tired," said a Charlie Chaplin impersonator. However, fans were free to enjoy the rides and amusements, as well as view the latest film 'Peter Pan' on his home cinema screen.

The security was very tight, as everyone who attended had to sign agreements and no cameras, cell phones or even handbags were allowed. Apparently only one fan left unwillingly, when he climbed Michael's "Giving Tree" without permission.

"The elephant trainer spent most of the party, which lasted from about noon to 5 p.m., explaining the rituals of 17-year-old Lindsey and 12-year-old Bubba to captivated kids and their parents" according to MTV. "Michael and the kids ride her all the time," the trainer said of Lindsey. "We let them run all around the land. It's much better than a regular zoo."

Music was blaring from speakers everywhere, "Even the parades of sharply dressed security guards were grooving to 'Smooth Criminal'." In the arcade room, music from OutKast and Snoop Dogg played while fans enjoyed the machines, the most popular of which being, of course, 'Moonwalker'.
