Michael Jackson The Music'Michael Jackson The Music'. 29-06-'05

'Michael Jackson – The Music' is a new documentary released by the London-based programme production company Digital Classics Distribution. The film is about Michael's career - focusing on his music, his dancing, and his genius for concept creation.

The film is “fast paced,” featuring a comprehensive collection of footage, video clips and stills that reach back to Michael’s childhood. It includes interviews with Katherine, LaToya, and Jermaine Jackson as well as interviews with friends and associates like Smokey Robinson, Gladys Knight, and Liza Minnelli.

In addition, the film will include exclusive, previously unseen material reflecting the outcome of the trial.

The movie was filmed and edited in 2003 but has only been completed now that the trial has ended with Michael being acquitted on all charges. Digital Classics Distribution is in discussion with six US television channels to air it, three of which are major networks. Chief executive Chris Hunt said he will wait for the best deal, rather than push for an earlier sale:
"The news is excellent and just what we were waiting for but we will do the best deal available, whenever it comes."

After its announcement to offer the documentary the TV production firm saw its share price surge 5%. If a deal is signed within the current financial year (ending June 30, 2005) it is likely to have a “material impact” on the group’s financial performance for 2005.

Produced by Chris Hunt and directed by Steve Cole, this film already won the 2004 World Fest- Houston Platinum Award and the US International Film and Video Festival’s Gold Camera award.

Michael Jackson's father fears he has been left in financial ruin following his trial on child molestation charges.

The pop superstar is a free man after being found not guilty of all charges levelled against him - but dad Joe fears he has been left physically and financially crippled by the stress of the trial and poor advice from those close to him.

It has been speculated Jackson owes as much as $450 million and faces losing his Neverland home in California and his share of The Beatles' back catalogue.

And Joe Jackson tells the New York Daily News, "Am I worried about his financial problems? Yes, I am! If he didn't trust the wrong people, he wouldn't have been in this situation."

Jackson's Passport Back In Hand? 25-06-'05

That's the word from Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Department spokesman Sgt. Eric Rainey — although there’s still no confirmation from Jackson’s camp, despite repeated calls.

Rainey says the passport was turned over last Friday, June 17, to Jesus Castillo, a private investigator for Jackson’s defense attorney Thomas Mesereau. Earlier that day, four days after Jackson's June 13 acquittal, Judge Rodney Melville signed an order that the passport be returned to Jackson.

Sources close to Jackson complained about the time lag when the passport was not immediately turned over after his acquittal. At least two of them claimed the passport had been lost by the District Attorney’s office.

The DA's office says it didn't have the passport, and Sgt. Rainey has confirmed that. We defer to the sergeant on this one.
There had been some confusion about who had the passport when the trial ended and who had had it throughout the trial. Rainey told me he wasn’t sure whose possession it had been in before his office turned it over to Castillo.

Sources say the passport was kept in the District Attorney’s office as part of evidence, although the DA's spokeswoman says it was not.

Jackson's Former Manager Plans Comeback. 24-06-'05

Michael Jackson's former manager Frank DiLeo is rumoured to be planning the pop superstar's singing comeback.

DiLeo was sacked by Jackson in 1989 but attended every day of the singer's recent 14 week trial on child molestation charges, and sources claim he is attempting to reconcile his friendship with the vindicated star.

An insider tells Pagesix.com, "Frank attended the trial every day to support Michael.

"Obviously he wants to manage him again. This could be (DiLeo's) return to the music business. After all, he knows the ins and outs of (Jackson's) Sony deal and all of the dealings with The Beatles' catalogue."

Frank Dileo
Frank Dileo was for five years in the late 1980's Jackson's manager. But in early 1989 Jackson fired Mr. Dileo, dissatisfied with the sales of his album 'Bad'. (Jackson had wanted to sell 100 million copies of the album, but after a year and a half it had sold only 20 million.)

Bob JonesJackson's Ex-Pr Bob Jones Reveals Bedsheet Love Note Story. 24-06-'05

Michael Jackson's former PR man often had to cover up the pop superstar's secret moments with his young male friends, according to the publicist's new book.

PR man Bob Jones is revealing all about his 17 years as the King of Pop's right hand man in new tome Michael Jackson: The Man Behind The Mask', including some very intimate encounters.

He recalls one moment when he was brought into Jackson's hotel bedroom after the pop star's secretary alerted him to a love note Jackson left for his young companion on a bed sheet.

He states, "The secretary showed that to me and she was trying to decide what to do with it and so it was decided to take the sheet off the bed so that once the maid came in, the maid wouldn't see this drawing on this sheet."

Jones also reveals he was instructed to tell hotel staff in Paris, France that the young white boy travelling with Jackson on one European trip was his cousin.

Michael JacksonJackson On Vacation. 24-06-'05

Jackson Superfan B.J. Hickman Fires Back At Diane Dimond, Demands $24K In Legal Fees. 24-06-'05

B.J. HickmanLong after the drama of the verdict has faded, Michael Jackson Superfan B.J. Hickman is still fighting back against a restraining order issued on behalf of Court TV reporter Diane Dimond, who accused Hickman of threatening and disruptive behavior toward her.

All are excerpts--misspellings included--from BJ Hickman's court answer to the Dimond petition (filed this week in Santa Barbara Superior Court):

"Being a newscaster is strenuous and stressful. Perhaps Ms. Dimond is burned out. Ashley Banfield in Afghanistan and Christina Amanpour in Iraq have not sought court relief."

"Ms. Dimond suffered distress from competing with other news personnel for stories, covering a long trial with many stories and deadlines, and being away from home for so long."

"I spoke in a public forum, during business hours, and with the oversight of numerous sheriffs and police. Ms. Dimond's commercial speech and observations over the air on TV were offensive to me as exaggerations, speculations, profiling and prevarications. Ms. Dimond spoke for money, I spoke from my heart."

"My language was more temperate than that of the 60's, or when the free speech movement was born, or when the Governor or the President speaks."

"I have never threatened, touched, or attempted to touch Diane Dimond in any way. I have never incited or attempted to incite other people to harm Diane Dimond in ay way."

"Diane Dimond flipped me the middle finger, blew me kisses, and sarcastically waived to me on numerous occasions during the trial."

Hickman is seeking $24k from her in reimbursement for legal costs and other expenses incurred in connection with his defense of her restraining order application.

Jackson's Passport Lost By District Attorney. 23-06-'05

There's a reason Michael Jackson's passport hasn't been returned to him: It's missing. Or so say sources close to the case who have tried without luck to get the Santa Barbara District Attorney's office to return it to Jackson.

Also missing are the passports for the Arvizo family that Janet Arvizo said during the trial were fraudulently obtained for her so Jackson could spirit her off to Brazil, my sources said.

In court, when Arvizo was presented with the passports during her wacky three-day testimony, the mother of three nearly wept.

"There they are," she declared.

It's too bad she couldn't have grabbed them right there and then, though.

Jackson's passport would come in handy right now since he's trying to leave the U.S. for Europe. As I reported yesterday, he's sort of in limbo, although sources say he is not at Neverland. This would narrow down the choices to Las Vegas or a private yacht harbored in La Jolla.

Either way, the district attorney's inability to return the passport seems a little passive aggressive considering Jackson was exonerated 10 days ago.

Meanwhile, there's still no word about Jackson's health or whereabouts, even though his parents are looking to get back on the interview circuit.

Katherine JacksonKatherine Jackson Stands Up For Michael. 23-06-'05

Facing the American TV-station NBC has mother Katherine Jackson told that she has compassion with the boy who has accused her son of sexual abuse. She hopes that Gavin Arvizo will change his way of living in the future because otherwise it's going to look very sad for them.

Michael's mother stated that her son has pointed clearly that all the accusations were lies and that his name is cleared of all doubts.

Michael will not share again his bed with children she said real convincing, because Michael is been accused already two times of something he hasn't done. He's no paedophile and gives no alcohol to children, the Arvizo's were bad children.

Since Michael is been acquitted, American radio stations are playing again more and more his songs, 'Beat It', 'Billie Jean', and 'Rock With You' you can hear the most.

Katherine JacksonJackson Mother Wants Neverland Kid Ban. 22-06-'05

Michael Jackson's mother Katherine has begged the troubled superstar to ban children from his California Neverland Ranch.

Teenage cancer sufferer Gavin Arvizo accused Jackson of molesting him in the plush ranch in 2003, but Jackson was found not guilty of all child abuse charges in the nearby Santa Maria court last week (June 13).

Katherine, 75, hit out at Arvizo, labelling him a "bad" kid.

She fumes, "What he did to my son, my son would never do to anyone else."

The protective matriarch is desperate for her famous son to install a ban of visiting youngsters to Neverland, over fears another child would accuse Michael of inappropriate behaviour.

She says, "I am sure he's not going to do that now."

Michael JacksonMichael Jackson Skips Celebration Party. 20-06-'05

Family members, friends and fans of Michael Jackson gathered to celebrate his court victory on Friday night (June 17) - but the pop star was nowhere to be seen.

Michael has not appeared in public since 13 June, when he was acquitted of a 10-count indictment which alleged he molested a 13-year-old cancer survivor in 2003, plied the boy with wine and conspired to hold him and his family captive.

And he was nowhere to be seen when approximately 400 people arrived at California's Chumash Indian Casino.

A surprise arrival was juror Pauline Coccoz, and she admits the enormity of the situation hit her when she entered the venue.

She says, "They were playing 'Beat It' and I almost started to cry."

The crowd cheered as Jackson's mother Katherine arrived to the sounds of the song I'll Be There'.

At the end of the show she thanked her son's fans from around the world for their support, telling them, "We couldn't have done it without you."

LaToya JacksonA Personal Message From LaToya Jackson. 20-06-'05

I would like to give all of you heartfelt thanks for your continued voices of encouragement and for your amazing support of Michael during the trying days that now, thankfully, lie behind us. Thank you so very much!

It has meant a great deal to me, to Michael and to our whole family.

It is truly wonderful to have such amazing and loyal fans!

This is a very big victory for Michael and we are all very proud that he has been completely and totally vindicated in court, as we were certain he would be.

I am pleased to tell you that he is finally getting some rest and is regaining his appetite as well.

The end of the trial and the 'not guilty' verdicts on all counts, clearing Michael of all charges, mean that he can now concentrate on the future and his art.

He will be beginning a brand new chapter in the Michael Jackson LEGEND.

This means that I am not the only person 'Startin' Over' - Michael is now STARTING OVER as well.

As a matter of fact, this will be a brand new beginning for all of us.
Thank you!

Lots of Love,

LaToya Jackson
