Jackson and RoweJudge Wants Papers In Jackson-Rowe Divorce. 29-03-'06

A judge has ordered lawyers for Michael Jackson and ex-wife Debbie Rowe to submit copies of missing papers from their divorce file.

Superior Court Judge Robert Schnider on Monday (March 27) ordered Rowe's lawyer, Marta Almli, to submit duplicate copies of Rowe's 2001 motion to terminate her parental rights to her two children with Jackson.

Jackson's lawyers, Michael Abrams and Thomas Hall, were ordered to submit a copy of the pop star's opposition to the motion.

Jackson and Rowe married in November 1996 and filed for divorce in October 1999 after the births of son Prince Michael and a daughter, Paris. Jackson also has a son whose mother hasn't been identified.
A private judge oversaw the divorce case.

"The way this file looks, it's clear to me that documents have come in an untimely fashion," Schnider said.

The missing documents must be submitted within 30 days, he said, and may be filed under seal. A hearing has been set for May 24.

Jackson, 47, and his children moved to the Middle Eastern kingdom of Bahrain soon after a jury acquitted him of child molestation charges last year.

He recently closed the house on his 2,600-acre Neverland Ranch estate in Santa Barbara County and has reduced his staff there to a skeleton crew.

Michael JacksonKing Of Pop Has Dinner With Bahraini Family. 27-03-'06

King of Pop has dinner with Bahraini family, an offer by Michael Jackson to buy a Bahraini businessman’s house ended up with the ‘King of Pop’ sharing dinner with his family and making new friends but not buying the prized property, sources on Sunday (March 26) told Gulf News.

“Michael was being chauffeured in the Saar area when he spotted a house he liked. He did not hesitate to call on the family and ask them if they were willing to sell their house. “The family, astonished by the unexpected appearance of the superstar and amused by the offer, told him the house was not for sale, but that he was welcome to share their dinner.”

The sources said Jackson’s visit lasted about four hours. Jackson, who has lived in Bahrain since June (05) following his acquittal on child molestation charges in California wants to settle permanently in the kingdom. He is staying in a large villa but wants to buy a mansion.

“He is in much better shape now and has been going out more. Last week, he visited several malls in Manama,” the sources said. The 47-year-old star watched the Bahrain Grand Prix on March 12 from the VIP tower and was quoted as saying that he liked the race, the first he has ever seen live in his life. His sister LaToya on Saturday (March 25) said: “He is doing really well and he is happy with where he is.” She also confirmed he did not intend to return to his fantasy Californian estate Neverland.

LaToya JacksonLaToya Says Michael Is Doing Wonderful. 25-03-'06

In an interview airing on "Access Hollywood," LaToya Jackson reveals for the first time that her brother Michael Jackson never really wanted Neverland back. She also talks about how he is doing right now.

In talking about the end of Neverland, Jackson's California fantasy play land, the sister of the "King of Pop" said, "I have to tell you that when all of this was over he said he would leave and never come back and he didn't care or want Neverland again. So, I guess you guys are just learning about it, but he never really wanted a part of that ever again."

Jackson added that, this was "All part of the plan ... When he left he said 'it's finished never again.' He felt that his privacy was invaded, so its time to leave and that's what he did."

When asked how her brother was doing she added, "Thank you for asking, he is doing wonderful. He is doing really well and he is happy with where he is and I'm happy for him for being so happy and content with his life at the moment."

DJ Whoo Kid Spends An Evening In Bahrain 'Chillin' ' With Michael Jackson. 24-03-'06

DJ Whoo KidWhoo Kid just came back from spending some time in the Persian Gulf nation with its ruler, Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the Sheikh's son, John Legend, model Tyson Beckford and Jackson. Whoo Kid said he and Mike became so tight on the trip that he's trying to orchestrate a collaboration between 50 and M.J.

"I [saw] Michael Jackson sitting by the pool sippin' lemonade," Whoo Kid recalled of the beginning of his day with the royal family and others in Bahrain. "They didn't tell me he was going to be there — I didn't even expect Michael to be in the country. So I'm like 'F---ing Michael Jackson is here, sippin' lemonade!'

"I said 'What's up?' to him and acted like I wasn't groupie-sized. I gave him respect for all the sh-- he did, but in my head I was going crazy. He said, 'I'm just chillin' ' — he actually said 'chillin'!' F---ed my head up, so I walked away from him. Everybody gave him his respectful space."

Whoo Kid said he originally connected with Bahrain's royal family after he was recommended to DJ their parties by mutual contacts, including the Prince of Monaco and Seif Khadafy, son of Libyan dictator Moammar ("They're huge G-Unit fans," the DJ said).

During his trip, Whoo Kid also found himself invited to dinner with the sheik, Legend and Jackson. Apparently people were giving Jackson too much space at dinner — there was an empty seat next to him, which other guests were evidently too intimidated to fill. Finally Jackson, who'd laughed at some of Whoo Kid's jokes earlier in the day, called the DJ over to sit with him.

"Mike was like, 'Whoo Kid, come sit over here,' the DJ said in a high-pitched voice, mimicking Jackson. "I was like poinng! He was supposed to be there for like 45 minutes; he stayed for five hours. We was talking about Eminem. He was like, 'Is Eminem really retired?' I forgot that Eminem totally cremated him in one video ['Lose It'], but [Michael] didn't even bring it up. Then he started talking about 50."

Whoo Kid said that Jackson expressed some interest not only in working with 50 but also Kanye West on a new album. Whoo Kid arranged a phone conversation between Fif and M.J. awhile later.

As for the dinner itself, Whoo Kid said he was acting as a dietary and fashion consultant to Jackson.

"They had a whole lamb they brought to the table and Mike was eating some weird vegetables," Whoo Kid said. "I told Mike, 'You better get up on some of this lamb.' I said, 'Let me get some of this lamb ass.' The Sheikh was dying [laughing] because I kept saying 'lamb ass.'

"You can't talk to Mike all fluffy like everyone does," he continued. "I got him to curse — he said 'sh--.' I told him he needs to cut his hair, get some million-dollar earrings, get a million-dollar watch and take all them spaceship clothes off. He said, 'I have to change my whole outlook.' He said he was trying to work out."

When his schedule permits, Whoo Kid says he plans to go back to Bahrain and hopefully record with Jackson for one of his mixtapes — a 50/ Michael Jackson collaboration is tops on his wish list. In the meantime, Whoo Kid has a slew of mixtapes dropping soon: There's one with Freeway coming (the prince is said to be making an appearance on that one), Lloyd Banks, 50 Cent and new CDs from Mase and Mobb Deep.

Whoo Kid said the next job he wants is to be musical ambassador of Bahrain.

Jackson has reportedly been in touch with the hip-hop heavyweight about the possibility of a collaboration.

Jackson, who has been living in Bahrain since the end of the case against him, allegedly approached a member of 'Fiddy's' entourage at the Bahrain Grand Prix last week.

A source revealed to the News Of The World: "Michael was talking to 50's DJ Whoo Kid who spoke to 50 there and then about it.

"The track would catapult Michael back into the limelight, which he is desperate for, and 50 has always been a fan."

Filmmaker Sanjay Khan And Wife Zarine Bumped Into Michael Jackson Recently. 20-03-'06

Sanjay Khan and ZarineFilmmaker Sanjay Khan is a Formula 1 enthusiast. And his passion for life in the fast lane was more than evident when he flew down to Bahrain with wife Zarine to attend the Grand Prix held in the Middle East over the week end.

However, his trip was not all about cars. He and Zarine also met the world's royalty, like England's Prince Andrew, King Abdullah II and his wife Queen Raina of Jordan at the event.

The Khans were the guests of Bahrain business tycoon Mohammad Dadabhai. And while there, the couple happened to meet none other than the King of Pop himself — Michael Jackson!

Jackson has been living in Bahrain since June last year and was attending the event as the guest of the King of Bahrain's son. Recounts Zarine, "We had a fantabulous time in Bahrain. Sanjay is not the type who would go over and talk to people unless they were formally introduced to us.

The elite of the world were present there. And then suddenly, I saw Michael Jackson walking past us and and I told Sanjay 'It's Michael!' and he said, 'Don't get so excited.

You just can't go over there and talk to him'. It was then that our host Mohammad Dadabhai introduced us and told him that we were from the Indian film world. Michael got very excited and talked to us for a good 10 minutes. He was very happy to meet us."

So what is Michael like in person? "Well, he is very sweet and looks very gentle and docile. I even told him that I was a huge fan and that I had attended his show in Mumbai too. I think he's a brilliant performer and artist.

I asked him to come to Mumbai and he said that he would love to and we gave him our card. Michael even asked for a picture with us!" continues Zarine.

And what's her favourite MJ song? "Oh, I like so many but most of all, the Thriller ones," she says. And did they meet with the other Michael (Schumacher) there? "Oh, after I met MJ, that was it!"

Spain Loves 'Visionary'. 17-03-'06

For the third consecutive week, Michael Jackson has achieved historical results in the Spanish charts.

In the week from March 6 to 12, 'Rock With You' entered the charts at number one. 'Thriller' was in second position followed by 'Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough' in third.

It is certainly not everyday that an artist manages to reach the top three positions simultaneously and with the recent release of two of Michael's most successful singles, 'Billie Jean' and 'Beat It', we can only expect greater achievements for 'Visionary'.

Raymone K. BainRaymone K. Bain Releases Statement. 17-03-'06

Michael Jackson's spokesperson Raymone K. Bain has released a statement following rumours that Michael was shutting his Neverland Valley Ranch down for good.

The statement is as follows;

"It is public knowledge that Mr. Jackson currently resides in the Middle Eastern country of Bahrain. He therefore decided to close his house and reduce his workforce. This is a common practice when a residence is vacant for an extended period of time.

"Reports indicating that Neverland has been closed or 'shut down' for good are inaccurate.
"There will be no further comments regarding this matter."

Neverland Nevermore For Jackson. 16-03-'06

Michael Jackson has shut down his Neverland Ranch for good. Employees were summoned to the ranch this afternoon in staggered groups, given back pay for 12 weeks through today, and were told the ranch had been shut down by the California Department of Labor.

In fact, Jackson made the decision to lay off more than 60 loyal staffers after making them wait through three months with no pay. Their health insurance ran out on February 28th. Last week, the State closed the ranch because Jackson carried no workmen's compensation.

Some of the employees of Neverland had been there with Jackson since he bought the place in the late 80s. A few actually had worked for the previous owner. They leave without pensions or the ability to apply for COBRA health insurance. All they can do now is apply for unemployment. My sources say many of them have already done that.

Neverland Ranch
Michael Jackson’s Neverland Valley Ranch – 5225 Figueroa Mountain Road, Los Olivos, California.

"It's unbelievable," says one longtime staffer. "We got nothing for the pain of what just happened, and nothing to see us through. Some of the people here are close to retirement age and they have nothing to retire on."

Sources tell me Jackson, who may be in London tonight, has been living very well in the Middle East island country of Bahrain. Prince Abdullah has supplied him with a driver, a Bentley GT and a Rolls Royce Phantom. "He is not returning to the US," says a source who spoke with Jackson last weekend. In this country, Jackson faces several lawsuits as well as the foreclosure on $270 million of loans.

Still not clear is who paid the final back pay, which could have totaled $400,000. Jackson also has to pay the state two separate fines, one for $69,000 and another, to be determined on Friday, over $100,000.

"I will miss Neverland," my source concedes. "There were a lot of good times."
But now it's all over.

Michael JacksonJackson Granted Day's Reprieve. 15-03-'06

Michael Jackson was given an extra 24 hours to pay staff on his closed Neverland Ranch overdue wages amounting to $306,000 and fines of $100,000. The extension means the Thriller hitmaker now has until 5pm today to pay the penalty and outstanding wages, before facing possible court action.

State regulators made the threat after shutting down the 2,800-acre (1,130-hectare) estate last Thursday (March 9) and fining Michael and his ranch operators after discovering his workers' compensation policy lapsed in January.

Employees also complained they hadn't received a pay packet since 19 December (05). Renee Bacchini, a spokeswoman for the state Department of Industrial Relations, maintained Jackson was "aware" of the extension. She revealed they had been generous with the deadline after the singer's financial representatives contacted the department. Bacchini said, "They are trying to come up with the money. They're trying to work with us."

The singer has been living with his three children in Bahrain since July (05) - one month after he was acquitted of all charges in his child molestation trial.

Michael JacksonKing Of Spin Not Moving To The UK. 15-03-'06

Michael Jackson's spokeswoman denied a London newspaper report that the pop icon was looking for a new home in Britain.

"Information disseminated this weekend from London is totally erroneous," Raymone K. Bain told AFP. "He's not purchased a house in London, he's not been scouting schools for his kids, he has no intention to moving to London."

The Mail on Sunday (March 12) had reported that Jackson and his three children have been staying on and off at a Cliveden, one of Britain's grandest stately homes in Berkshire, southern England, for the past month.

The weekly said "it was understood" that Jackson, 47, had asked whether the mansion was up for sale, only to be told it belonged to The National Trust and was leased to a hotel group.

"The reports having originated out of London regarding this thing are untrue," Bain said.

"It quotes an official spokesperson, which I assume is me," she said. "I've not spoken to anybody, in any publication in London regarding Mr. Jackson's intentions of moving to London, this is totally erroneous and they need to stop it.

2 Seas RecordsRelease Of Katrina Benefit Single On The Horizon. 14-03-'06

Michael's publicist Raymone K. Bain has been quoted as saying what millions of fans have been hoping for. "It is in the very last stages, The record will be done."

There have been many factors contributing to the reason why the recording is not finished, including the fact that many of the artists have contributed their part via satellite. Ms. Bain has also said that "two or three" of the original artists who were supposed to take part but didn't for scheduling and other reasons, are back. Adding, "Michael is a perfectionist."

Ms. Bain has not provided a complete list of names, but, in addition to the O'Jays, some of the artists said to have contributed tracks are Snoop Dogg, Ciara, Jermaine Jackson and the Rev. Shirley Caesar.

The single entitled: 'I Have This Dream', is Michael's contribution to aid those who suffered devastation due to the rage of Hurricane Katrina. Shortly after Katrina hit, Michael commented, "It pains me to watch the human suffering taking place in the Gulf region of my country".

Although months have passed, Michael's new business partner Sheik Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa has assured his fans that, "the record is coming along great,. "We've been taking our time to perfect it and mix it."

Michael JacksonJackson 'Doesn't Care' About Ranch Workers. 13-03-'06

For a guy who had trouble traveling 45 minutes every day from his home to a courthouse, Michael Jackson is getting around pretty fast these days.

He made it back to Manama, Bahrain, by Saturday night (March 11) for dinner with Prince Abdullah at a place called The Hunting Lodge. I'm told he chatted up several people who were in for the F1 races, including John Legend.

My sources remain steadfast in their resolve that Jackson had snuck in and out of Los Angeles last week. He did it last November without being detected.

But Jackson seems unfazed by the events at home that could lead to a lawsuit from the state of California over his now shuttered Neverland Ranch. When I called The Hunting Lodge while Jackson was there, I spoke to someone else who was eating at a nearby table and had spoken with him. I asked if they had mentioned the Neverland situation to him.

"Michael is here and he's happy. He doesn't want to get into bad things going on at home. That part of his life is over," this person replied.

That indeed seems to be the case. Jackson basically has just today to resolve a total of $500,000 in fines and back pay to employees before the state of California takes action against him. Since no one in the Jackson family has any money other than Janet , they are now all relying on the family's remaining contemporary pop star to come through for them.

But how can the Neverland employees, as well as the folks who work in Encino for Michael's parents, feel about him at this point? While he shuttles around the world on Prince Abdullah's dime, the Neverland staff will be 12 weeks. That's three full months without pay. They no longer have health insurance.

Jackson 5 Members Attend Murdered Drummer's Funeral. 13-03-'06

Several Jackson 5 members attended the funeral of their former drummer, who was stabbed to death earlier this month.

Tito, Marlon, Jermaine, Jackie and Randy Jackson went to the Saturday service for 55-year-old Johnny Jackson Jr, who wasn't related to the family.

Pop stars Michael and Janet Jackson did not appear at the service.

Johnny Jackson replaced the group's original drummer around 1967. He played with the band for 15 years and lived with them after their move from Gary to Los Angeles in 1969.

Randy, the youngest of the Jackson 5 brothers, said he learned how to play drums from Johnny.

"He had a lively way of living and enjoyed every moment," he said. "He made touring fun. There was never a dull moment, with jokes and a lot of laughs."

Yolanda Davis, 44, has been charged with murder in Jackson's March 1 death. Davis allegedly told police she stabbed him with a steak knife when he lunged at her during a fight.

If convicted, she could be sentenced to 45 years to 65 years in prison.

Bahrain Grandprix After Party
Michael Jackson with Simon Webb at the Grandprix after party in Bahrain.

Michael Was At The F1 Race In Bahrain. 13-03-'06

The Bahrain Grand Prix took place on Sunday (March 12), and as usual provided some high-octane action. The party continued well into the night at the official Formula One after party. But, the highlight for many was when the select few got to meet Michael Jackson. Model Tyson Beckford was near to challenge him to a dance off.

Beckford: Part of me wanted to battle him, just to see if I could hang with Michael Jackson. Because you know, if you can battle with Michael Jackson and -- I didn't think I was going to win of course!

Well, with Jackson due to release new material it's clear his fans are excited.

Simon Webbe: A lot of people would say that is enough, maybe he should just give up now. But, at the end of the day, I mean, he's the king.

And 50 Cents DJ, DJ Whoo Kid believes that he can get Jackson to do a collaboration with 50.

DJ Whoo Kid: I gave him music, I'm trying to get him to work with 50. And you know, it'd be like the Jackson 2 or something.
