Dr. Conrad MurrayConrad Murray Will Tell Michael Jackson's Kids The Truth. 31-12-'16

Dr. Conrad Murray has promised to tell Michael Jackson's children ''the truth'' about their parentage when they are ready.

The late King of Pop raised sons Prince, 19, and Bigi, 14, and daughter Paris, 18, alone before his death in 2009, and while his youngest child's mother was never revealed, his second wife Debbie Rowe is the biological mother of the older kids

However, there have been rumours that actor Mark Lester or his doctor Arnold Klein are the real fathers of the children, and Michael's former personal physician - who was convicted of the involuntary manslaughter of the singer - claims to know the truth.

He said: ''Here is my statement. I am very respectful of the children. I am also sensitive to any information that could damage the children.

''I will say this I know the biological grasp of every one of Michael's children. I also know the biological grasp of Blanket's mother.

''However, I reserve that statement, that explanation, for those children.

''If they came forward to me one day when they are adult and they are prepared and they are not tainted as they are now and they wanted the truth, then we can have that conversation and they can know whatever they want. But I won't put it in the book or any report. But, I do know.''

Conrad has claimed he had no idea about the extent of Michael's drug abuse until after his death, and felt he used his status as a single parent as another way to keep it hidden.

He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: ''Michael made a very startling statement to me once. He said, 'Conrad I am a single parent.'

''And looking at him I stopped and thought about it, because a lot of the time you hear about a single parent you think of the mum and children and when I thought about it I said, 'That is very, very, true you are a male single parent'. That reinforced in me that he would not do anything ridiculous, like binging on narcotics and opioids that leave risk.

''But, he also knew that I did not support any entity of drug. Michael knew I would leave his side in a jiffy, I'll be gone, I'll never come back never return. I will not tolerate that.''

'Barbara Walters Presents Michael Jackson: Man In The Mirror''Barbara Walters Presents Michael Jackson: Man In The Mirror'. 21-12-'16

Barbara Walters interviewed the Jackson family for years. Now, never before seen moments from Barbara’s past interviews with Michael and a revealing new interview with Tito Jackson, Michael Jackson’s older brother and Jackson 5 bandmate, as well as TJ Jackson, Michael’s nephew and guardian of his children. Tito and nephew TJ shed light on the myth behind the man.

The special premiered on December 20 at 9/8c. In this premiere episode, the people who knew Michael Jackson speak of a man—not a myth.

Michael Jackson is one of pop culture’s greatest icons and noted philanthropists. But to the public over the years he was a mass of contradictions: a sensitive man who swaggered through his videos; a proud African-American who altered most of his identifiably black features; an innocent accused of stealing the innocence of others.

Thriller Live'Thriller Live' Smashes Yet Another West End Record! 21-12-'16

'Thriller Live' has smashed yet another West End record to become London's 16th Longest Running Musical of all time.

On Sunday December 18, the cast performed the 3,304th show at the Lyric Theatre to overtake "Me & My Girl", which opened in 1985, to snatch the record.

And another is due to fall soon... on Saturday February 4 2017, 'Thriller Live' will play its 3,358th show at the Lyric, when it will topple Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's legendary 1972 rock opera, "Jesus Christ Superstar" to become no 15 in the official West End Hall of Fame.

'Thriller Live', the West End concert spectacular, created to celebrate the career of the world's greatest entertainer, Michael Jackson and The Jackson Five, is currently the 7th longest running West End Musical still playing - but that will change again when "Jersey Boys" closes in March.

'Thriller Live' recently announced yet another new booking period to October 1, 2017.

'Thriller Live' first opened in the West End in January 2009. It never fails to get the audience on its feet and has received nightly standing ovations at the Lyric Theatre, where it holds the record as the longest running show since the theatre started entertaining the capital in December 1888.

'Thriller Live' recently sold its 2 millionth West End ticket and has now been seen by over 4 million people in 33 countries and played over 5,100 performances worldwide.

'Thriller Live' sets out on January 27 on a major new tour, playing 12 theatres across the UK, Germany and Macau. A Collector Exhibition In Bolivia. 20-12-'16

More than 300 collectibles give life to the exhibition titled The legacy of Michael Jackson. The exhibition, which will be open until Thursday, December 22, will be inaugurated today, at 7:00 pm, in the María Esther Ballivián Room of the House of Culture.

The exhibition will show a complete collection of the artist’s discography, from its beginnings in The Jackson 5 until the end of his solo career, as well as other collaborations. “It will be approximately 200, between vinyl records and CDs,” said the collector and follower of the King of Pop Julio César Valda.

There will also be eight replicas of costumes made mostly in the exterior. Among them the attire of the songs 'Beat It', 'Smooth Criminal' and 'Bad'.

From books to Tour T-shirts, the Exhibition has over 300 different items to see.

During the exhibition, visitors will be also seeing unreleased footage from the king of pop as well as documentaries says the organisers.

Although Valda exhibited part of his collection in 2009, when the King of Pop died, this will be the first exhibition in a space suitable for that purpose. “There are a lot of things I did not show, and even then I added a lot of things,” said Jackson’s follower, who could not figure out how much money he invested in his collection.

“One of the dolls is valued between 600 and 800 dollars, but I have a record that is worth a lot more for me. It is also necessary to take into account that Michael is an artist of which it is very difficult to finish a collection,” he said.

Valda began collecting items from Michael Jackson in 1979, when he was 12 years old.

“I started out as a fan, I watched him dance on television and he caught my attention. I started collecting and then I identified with him because of his way of being, which is a very purposeful person,” he said.

For that reason, the Bolivian collector decided to set up an exhibition dedicated to Jackson.

He also said that like all fans, his purpose is “to show the legacy that is not widely known.” Although everyone knows his music, I want to show his spiritual side.

Michael Jackson's Nephew TJ Jackson Reveals How The Star Was As A Dad In 'Man In The Mirror'.
19-12-'16

TJ JacksonRemembering Michael Jackson as a father, not just a superstar. TJ Jackson, Michael's nephew and the guardian of his children, tells Barbara Walters about what the star was like as a parent on Barbara Walters Presents: 'Michael Jackson: The Man In The Mirror', premiering Tuesday, December 20.

The Investigation Discovery special's preview clip, which is exclusive to Us Weekly, shows the broadcasting legend asking TJ, 38, what he taught Michael Jr., 19; Paris, 18; and Prince, 14.

Walters tells viewers in narration, "Certainly, Michael left behind a musical legacy that is vast and indelible, but he also left behind a personal legacy — his children and his family. In 2012, Michael's nephew TJ formally joined Michael's mother, Katherine, as co-guardian of his children."

TJ, a singer whose father is Jackson 5 original member Tito Jackson, explains that Michael had already instilled important values in the children before his June 2009 death.

"I don't think there's anything I had to teach them because my uncle taught them everything they need to know," TJ says. "All the important things — their core ethics and values are so strong, and there's moments where I just hear my uncle's voice come out of them because [of] their love for people and their innocence."

As for what he tells Michael's kids about their father, TJ reveals, "I don't even spend time on my uncle with them as a performer. I just try to make sure that they know their father was one of the greatest, greatest fathers. And that's why it's tough for me because he never got to finish his job as a parent."

Prince Jackson Calls Father Michael Jackson His Inspiration In Rare Interview. 16-12-'16

It’s the season of giving and Michael Jackson's son Prince Jackson — Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr. — is doing his part to help disadvantaged children. The 19-year-old opened up in a rare broadcast interview about his Heal the World student organisation, which was modelled after his late father's Heal the World Foundation.

The teen admitted to Entertainment Tonight that his father "is" the inspiration behind his charitable work on Thursday (December 15) at the first annual Heal Los Angeles' Boys & Girls Club Christmas event, which featured visits from Santa Claus in addition to Disney characters.

"When I was younger my dad always told me about how Disney was such a happy place and I grew up on the cartoons. And I remember when I was younger seeing Mickey Mouse and all of [the cartoon characters] and how happy I would feel and I know that was because of my dad," Prince shared. "It's good to know that I'm doing that for the kids." When asked what his father would think of his own philanthropic efforts? Paris Jackson's older brother replied: “I think he would be very happy.” The young activist "hopes to lead by example" with his hands on approach to helping others, he said, "not just for my siblings or my family members but also for the younger generations."

Prince, who is devoted to his charitable works and family, also shared, "I have a great sense of loyalty and devotion to my family," adding, "They inspire me and I hope I inspire them." The King of Pop's firstborn isn’t the only member of the Jackson family getting into the holiday spirit. Paris spread Christmas cheer on her Instagram account posting a fun-filled video. The 18-year-old showed off her pipes singing the classic tune 'It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas' as she danced wearing a reindeer sweater, Christmas lights necklace and Santa Claus hat. Attached to the clip she wrote, “'tis the season.”

'Bad' In The Trailer Of 'Despicable Me 3'. 14-12-'16

Welcome to the first trailer for 'Despicable Me 3', the — you guessed it — third film in the multibillion-dollar franchise from Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures, most recently sort of represented by the billion-dollar 2015 spinoff Minions. This one has those screaming yellow zonkers, for sure, but the trailer focuses on the superdupervillain-turned-good guy Gru and his moonwalking, mulleted archnemesis — a former child star who’s grown up to become obsessed with the character he played during the Reagan years. Their “dance fight,” set to Michael Jackson’s 'Bad' conjures images of the erstwhile King of Pop’s video for 'Beat It'. And no one wants to be defeated.

Kyle Balda and Pierre Coffin directed the toon, with co-helmer Eric Guillon, and Ken Daurio and Cinco Paul wrote it. Universal unleashes the mayhem from producers Chris Meledandri and Janet Healy on on June 30.

Judge: Quincy Jones Cannot Expand $10M Suit Against Late Michael Jackson’s Companies. 12-12-'16

Quincy JonesA judge ruled Monday that producer Quincy Jones cannot expand his $10 million breach-of-contract lawsuit against one of the late Michael Jackson’s companies regarding projects released after the singer died.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Stern said the case is more than three years old and that Jones’ attorneys could have brought their proposed new cause of action for financial elder abuse against MJJ Productions much sooner.

“This is a Johnny-come-lately to say the least,” Stern said.

The judge also said Jones’ lawyers cannot add four more parties into the case as defendants, including John Branca, a former Jackson attorney who currently serves as co-executor of the singer’s estate.

The complaint, filed in October 2013, alleges two causes of action for breach of contract against MJJ productions and one cause of action for an accounting of royalties owed against Sony Music Entertainment.

Jones’ lawyers maintained that they could not bring the elder abuse allegation and the new parties into the case sooner because they only recently learned important new facts, including that royalties from the 'This is It' film allegedly were disguised as profits and diverted to three Jackson estate entities: the Michael Jackson Co., MJJ Ventures and Triumph International. Those three entities were also proposed new defendants.

But Stern said he agreed with defense attorneys that revising the case at this stage would be prejudicial to their clients and force the lawyers to file a flurry of new motions. The judge also said he did not want to jeopardize the chance Jones’ case can go to trial ahead of other lawsuits because of the plaintiff’s age. Jones is 83.

'This is It' is a 2009 American documentary that traces Jackson’s rehearsals and preparation for his concert series of the same name that was originally scheduled to start on July 13, 2009, but was canceled due to his death 18 days prior of acute propofol intoxication at age 50.

Jones’ attorney, J. Michael Henningan, said after the hearing that despite the ruling, he believes his client can still seek punitive damages, but MJJ Productions attorney Jonathan Steinsapir said he thinks Jones is now barred from asking for such compensation.

Jones alleges that master recordings he worked on were wrongfully edited and remixed so as to deprive him of bonus profits. He also maintains he was denied credit for his work on the singer’s works released after his death.

Jones made agreements with Jackson in 1978 and 1985 for work on the singer’s solo albums in which the producer claims he was given the first opportunity to re-edit or remix any of the master recordings. He also maintains that the coupling of master recordings with other recordings required his permission and that was to be given producer credit for each of the master recordings.

MadonnaMadonna Had 'full French Kiss' With Michael Jackson. 08-12-'16

Madonna "loosened up" Michael Jackson with a glass of wine before she made a move on him.

The 58-year-old singer admitted she had shared a "full French kiss" with her friend - who died of acute Propofol intoxication in June 2009 - but he needed alcohol to help him relax before he would be a "willing accomplice" in the romance department.

Asked by James Corden during his 'Carpool Karaoke' segment on 'The Late Late Show' if she and Michael had ever kissed, she admitted: "Of course. I mean, baby, I've been around! "Yeah, tongue-in-mouth kissing. I haven't had the chance to talk about it, no one ever asks me."

Madonna - who has children Lourdes, 20, Rocco, 16, David, 11, and Mercy, 10 - didn't say when she and Michael kissed, but they did attend the Academy Awards together in 1991.

Elsewhere during the segment, the 'Hung Up' hitmaker - who was previously married to Sean Penn and Guy Ritchie - revealed a shared sense of humor is important to her when it comes to looking for love.

Michael Jackson's Executor, Manager Ordered To Testify In Billion-Dollar Tax Battle. 08-12-'16

A U.S. Tax Court judge has also deemed as inadmissible a report from one of the nation's leading First Amendment scholars.

The tax trial of the century — one focused on the worth of late pop singer Michael Jackson when he died in 2009 — is set to begin this February. With more than $1 billion at stake, the Internal Revenue Service and Michael Jackson's estate are scrambling in these final pre-trial days to discover everything they need to know before heading into battle.

This week, U.S. Tax Court Judge Mark Holmes granted a heavily contested motion by the IRS to depose John Branca, one of the two co-executors of Jackson's will; Michael Kane, the singer's former business manager; and Karen Langford, a paralegal said to have participated in the valuation of Jackson's image and knowledgeable about unreleased music.

But John McClain, the other co-executor of Jackson's will, won't be giving a deposition.

Although McClain currently manages an outfit that exploits Jackson trademarks, Holmes writes in his order that McClain is seriously ill. To protect his health, McClain won't have to testify just yet, but the judge isn't ruling out that he may have to do so at trial if the IRS insists and after potential briefing by the parties.

Taxpayers are suing the IRS over that huge hack, of course.

Judge Holmes has also ordered a variety of documents to be shared with the IRS including cease-and-desist letters the estate has sent to those it thought might be exploiting Jackson's likeness without authorization, the minutes of the estate's sale of its interest in Sony/ATV to Sony, and appraisals of that sale reported to be worth about $750 million.

The big ticket item at the current trial — and the reason why the case is of special interest throughout the entertainment industry — will be valuating Jackson's posthumous right to his likeness. The IRS has insisted it's worth more than $434 million and may point as evidence to the 2009 documentary This Is It, a Cirque du Soleil tribute show, and post-death albums, video games and other lucrative memorials. The estate's own valuation is just $2,105, arguing that what's important is the value when he died, when Jackson's commercial prospects were suffering from charges of child molestation and drug abuse, before executors worked their magic, and the King of Pop experienced a resurgence in popularity.

The coming valuation analysis and conclusions will be informed by what licensors theoretically would be willing to pay for rights. To this end, Jackson's estate commissioned UCLA Law School professor Eugene Volokh, one of the leading scholars of First Amendment law and torts, to prepare a report on the subject of how the value of a celebrity like Jackson depends on the legal limits of the posthumous right of publicity.

The IRS brought a motion to exclude Volokh's report as inadmissible since it's the judge deciding conclusions about the law. Experts only render opinions informed by facts.

"This is true even when issue before the Court is a mix of law and fact, as it is in the valuation questions in this case," writes Holmes in response to the IRS' motion. "Professor Volokh's proffered testimony would be helpful in drawing the bounds of the estate's rights in Jackson's image. But the rule excluding testimony about the content of domestic law is a strong one in this Court. His legal expertise can help the estate to prepare for examination before trial and in argument after the trial, but we find it inadmissible as testimony during the trial."

How 'Somebody's Watching Me' Singer Rockwell Created A Paranoid Pop Classic. 07-12-'16

RockwellKennedy Gordy would take on the name Rockwell, enlist Michael Jackson and his brother Jermaine for background vocals and turn the song, now titled 'Somebody's Watching Me', into an international and enduring smash hit that, more than 30 years later, remains the perennial paranoia-rock anthem and Halloween mix go-to song.

Enlisting Jackson to sing the hook sounds like classic label maneuvering, a way to help out the unknown artist with a heavyweight co-sign. But the truth is more organic: Jackson was six years older than Rockwell, with the latter often spending his days as a kid at the Jacksons' home. The fledgling songwriter went to the Jackson residence to show the family what he'd been recording. After bringing in a boombox with a demo cassette of the song, the nervous singer performed over the music.

"I performed it about eight or nine times," he recalls. "Michael says, 'Hey Rebbie! Hey Janet! You gotta hear this song Kennedy did.' Every time we stopped the song, Michael called three more people down. Afterwards, Michael pulled me to the side and says, 'Kennedy, I gotta talk to you for a second. Who are you going to get to sing background vocals?' I said, 'Why don't you do it?' It worked just like that." Jermaine Jackson would also end up contributing to the final track. (Rockwell's sister, Hazel, was married to Jermaine, further strengthening the bond between the two families.)

'Somebody's Watching Me' was released in January 1984 ahead of Rockwell's debut album of the same name. The song, with its blend of New Wave, R&B and synth-pop (alongside Rockwell's haughty fake British accent), entered the Billboard Hot 100 on January 28th, 1984 at number 73, where it would spend 19 weeks on the chart and peak at Number Two behind Kenny Loggins' 'Footloose'. It would eventually go gold, selling more than 500,000 copies three months after its release.

But even after the song's release, with Jackson's uncredited vocals the worst-kept secret in music, Motown decided not to promote Rockwell's relationship to his father or Jackson's appearance. To distance himself more from his familial connection, the singer would often affect a British accent on record and in interviews, jokingly claim to be from Portsmouth, England.

'Victory' Album Alternative Concept. 07-12-'16

We all know Michael Whelan… or not!

Michael Whelan is one of the world’s premier painters of imaginative realism. For 40 years he has created book and album covers for authors and musicians like Isaac Asimov, Stephen King, Ray Bradbury, Brandon Sanderson, The Jacksons and MeatLoaf. His clients have included every major U.S. book publisher, the National Geographic Society, CBS Records, and the Franklin Mint.

A graduate of San Jose State University with a BA in Painting and a President’s Scholar, Michael went on to attend the Art Center College of Design also in California, but he dropped out to accept his first book cover assignment. He soon became known for his dedication to bringing an author’s words to life and Whelan covers dominated the science fiction and fantasy field throughout the 1980’s and 90’s. He was largely responsible for the realistic style of genre covers of that era, and his stunning color and composition have influenced many artists to this day. He continues to do cover art for bestselling authors, but since 1995 he has also pursued a fine art career. His non-commissioned works are in established collections throughout the world.

Victory Album Cover
Original art work for 'Victory' album cover by Michael Whelan.

Michael Whelan has published 4 art books as well as numerous limited edition prints, posters, calendars, and licensed products such as greeting cards, t-shirts and sculptures.

We all know the current cover of 'Victory' (with or without the dove) and Michael Jackson chose Michael Whelan to paint the cover of the The Jacksons’ album 'Victory' after seeing his painting for the cover of Isaac Asimov’s book, Foundation’s Edge. The galaxy in that image was what drew Jackson to Whelan’s work and he wanted a similar effect for the album painting. Whelan was given very specific instructions regarding the poses and positioning of the Jackson brothers as they would appear in the scene. At Michael Jackson’s request, Whelan positioned Michael behind his brothers but made his trademark glowing glove and socks shine forth.

In a recent KickStarter, Whelan is planning to release a new book about his art and this book will include some of the concepts for the album cover and here the picture:
