Michael's Estate Shades HBO On Twitter Over 'Leaving Neverland'. 17-01-'19

HBO
Cable TV network HBO broadcast on October 10, 1992 another version of the Bucharest concert earning the highest cable TV ratings in history!

Michael Jackson's estate calls out HBO for disloyalty after the late singer gave them their highest ratings.

Although we remember Michael Jackson for the musical legend that he is, allegations of child molestation have had an impact on his legacy. Next week, HBO's Leaving Neverland documentary will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival before airing on HBO the week after. The estate of the late Michael Jackson already put HBO on blast, saying, “This is yet another lurid production in an outrageous and pathetic attempt to exploit and cash in on Michael Jackson." However, the estate's Twitter account threw more shade at the TV network on Twitter, claiming MJ gave HBO their highest-rated special ever.

Michael Jackson's estate is continuing to discredit HBO for their upcoming 'Leaving Neverland' documentary which features two of Jackson's alleged molestation victims. On Twitter, the estate wrote, "In 1992, Michael gave HBO their highest rated special ever. Now, to repay him they give a voice to admitted liars. #StopLeavingNeverlandNOW," along with a poster for the concert that aired on HBO.

The new documentary follows the release of 'Lifetime's Surviving' R. Kelly docuseries which explores the age-long allegations against R. Kelly. Although these allegations have been known for years, it shed new light on the victims and their stories.

Leaving Neverland will focus on the stories of two of Jackson's alleged victims, who were 7 and 10 at the time of meeting the singer, and their families. Both alleged victims, who are now in their 30s, open up about the allegations and how they came to terms with it as adults.

Louis Vuitton VS Michael Jackson. 17-01-'19

Virgil Abloh has just revealed his new Men collection for Louis Vuitton’s fall/Winter 2019 inspired by Michael Jackson!

The show was staged in the lush Tuileries Gardens – that’s the green expanse between the Louvre and Place de la Concorde and started at 2.30pm local time. The show was live on LV website for the world to see!

The show started 30 min late (fashionably late) but we could wait listening to Michael himself with 'Beat It', 'Smooth Criminal', 'Liberian Girl', 'The Way You Make Me Feel', 'Bad', 'Billie Jean' and 'Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin'.

Then here we start! The set looks like the set of the 'Billie Jean' video! Live music starts mixing some of Michael’s 'Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’. The collection is sober – As Louis Vuitton does! But with some touches of Michael then and there, very settled! Some sparks, some references like the 'Beat It' T-shirt design, The Toes, references to the sparkles Michael used to wear, the glove, the military style, the colorful and vibrant suits… Nothing was missed! References to some short films costumes like 'Black Or White', 'Stranger In Moscow', 'Billie Jean', 'Remember The Time', 'Scream'… Even the J5 made it to one of the jumper!

'The Wiz' is also set in print on some of the designs and a design looking like the 'You Are Not Alone' shirt…

Macaulay Culkin Says His Friendship With Michael Jackson As A Child Was 'Normal' And 'Made Sense'.
16-01-'19

Macaulay CulkinThe 'Home Alone' star Macaulay Culkin has opened up about his relationship with the King of pop during an interview on a podcast late last night leaded by Michael Rosenbaum.

He was asked about the falsely documentary which is about to be shown at Sundance Festival and his relationship with the King of Pop. He answered: “He [Michael Jackson] reached out to me because a lot of things were happening, big and fast with me and I think he identified with that.”

“At the end of the day, it’s almost easy to say ut was weird or whatever, but it wasn’t because it made sense. At the end of the day, we were friends.”

Macaulay also re-enforced that “I’ve fallen asleep in the same bed with him. I’d just flop down” – he called the allegations against Michael “absolutely ridiculous.”

Macaulay did go to court to defend Michael Jackson in 2005 and never stopped defending him! [we love you for it].

During his chat with Rosenbaum, Macaulay argued that the world only viewed their friendship as strange because of Michael Jackson’s immense fame—and, when pressed by Rosenbaum about the big difference in age, explained that Michael could relate to what he was going through more than his school classmates.

“Nobody else in my Catholic school had even this much idea of what I was going through and he was the kind of person who’d been through the exact same frickin’ thing and wanted to make sure I wasn’t alone,” said Macaulay.

“For me, it’s so normal and mundane,” he added. “I know it’s a big deal to everyone else, but to me, it was a normal friendship.”

They also talked about the fact that Macaulay is Paris Jackson’s godfather and explained he is very protective of her. “I’m going to warn you now, I am very protective of her so just look out. I am a very open book when it comes to things but, like, with her, she is beloved by me”

Message From The Estate Of Michael Jackson To The Fans. 16-01-'19

Here below the message from the Michael Jackson Estate regarding the upcoming documentary:

Hello MJFam!

The past week has been a difficult one for the Estate just as we know it has been for you. We understand that the fans want to see the Estate take public action to stop the documentary screening at Sundance in the coming days but doing so isn’t necessarily the best or only way to counter the actions of these 2 admitted liars and their co-conspirators. The Estate is here to protect and grow Michael’s legacy, and that also means keeping the public focused on his music and the true Michael that we know through projects that will capture the hearts and attention of both fans and the general public.

In the coming weeks, the Estate will be sharing information about several partnerships that celebrate Michael’s life, art, and enduring influence – some are partnerships that the Estate has already told you about and others that have been in development and not yet acknowledged publicly. The first is the reveal of the invitation to Virgil Abloh’s Paris Fashion Week show, which was a single, sparkly glove, inspired by Michael. Read more about it in this piece on Vogue, which also says “The late, great Michael Jackson is set to be honored this Thursday (January 17) in Paris…Jackson will be honored by one very high-profile, very pop culture–obsessed designer at the Fall 2019 menswear shows. Back in December, Virgil Abloh announced that his second collection for Louis Vuitton as artistic director of men’s would be inspired by the man who gave us 'Thriller', 'Smooth Criminal', and the moonwalk.“

Read the rest of the story here. In addition to your efforts to publicly shame HBO, Channel 4, Sundance, and the filmmakers for making such a vile documentary, spreading news focusing on Michael’s legacy will help combat the impact and help shift the focus where it should be. The Estate is working to do the same.

Best,

The MJ Online Team

Virgil AblohVirgil Abloh Reveals Jackson-Inspired Louis Vuitton FW19 Show. 15-01-'19

Virgil Abloh‘s eagerly-awaited Louis Vuitton debut is just about to hit LV stores around the globe, but not before the designer introduces his next collection for the Parisian luxury powerhouse.

Abloh took to Instagram to tease the invitation to his follow-up runway: a white glove emblazoned with sequins in the vein of Michael Jackson’s iconic single white glove. One the palm is a poem written by Abloh, his first “since a high-school homework assignment a million years ago.”

A robotic voiceover in the teaser reads the prose: “See, the thing is, there is only one. There was only one. Not me, but you; us. There was only one us.”

John G. Branca Named Marquis Who’s Who World’s #1 Music Attorney. 15-01-'19

John BrancaSince 1899, when A. N. Marquis printed the First Edition of Who’s Who in America®, Marquis Who’s Who® has chronicled the lives of the most accomplished individuals and innovators from every significant field of endeavor, including politics, business, medicine, law, education, art, religion and entertainment. Today, Who’s Who in America® remains an essential biographical source for thousands of researchers, journalists, librarians and executive search firms around the world.

The 2018 edition of Marquis Who’s Who® shows John Branca as N#1 Music attorney!

The fans knows Branca as one of the executors of the Michael Jackson Estate since 2009 and responsible for deals with Sony for 'This Is It', 'Michael', 'Xscape' but also the deal with Cirque du Soleil helping to bring to the world 'Immortal World Tour and the 'ONE' show in Las Vegas.

Often hated by a large part of the Michael Jackson fan community for a foggy right to be in charge of the Estate, including fake songs to posthumous album and aloof to the fans. This new status is a hope for the fans for John Branca to deliver not only more new music, products and shows but also to be able to put down one and for all those issues we all know too well, like with the latest documentary from HBO & Channel 4.

Michael Jackson's Nephews Blast HBO's Upcoming 'Leaving Neverland' Documentary. 11-01-'19

A new documentary titled 'Leaving Neverland' is set to premiere at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival and later air on HBO. The film is said to be covering Michael Jackson’s alleged history of child molestation by focusing on two particular accusers.

"If there’s anything we’ve learned during this time in our history, it’s that sexual abuse is complicated, and survivors’ voices need to be listened to. It took great courage for these two men to tell their stories and I have no question about their validity," stated 'Leaving Neverland' director Dan Reed.

He continued, "I believe anyone who watches this film will see and feel the emotional toll on the men and their families and will appreciate the strength it takes to confront long-held secrets.”

Jackson's estate quickly condemned 'Leaving Neverland', calling the documentary a "lurid production in an outrageous and pathetic attempt to exploit and cash in on Michael Jackson" and "just another rehash of dated and discredited allegations.” The King of Pop's nephews also took to Twitter to blast the doc.

"I’m so tired of these lies about my uncle. MJ fam, I see all your comments and messages about wanting to fight back. I doubt the media wants to learn the truth or is even interested in it. Negativity sells. But please post below on what we all can do to expose this documentary," wrote Toriano "Taj" Jackson, Jr.

Taj added, "There are so many great journalists in the MJ fam. Unfortunately mainstream media makes more money off false stories and rumors about MJ. This won’t go away until we expose the lies and squash the rumors."

The 3T member also posted an email from Wade Robson where the dancer appears to be confirming his attendance at Michael Jackson's 2009 memorial service. Robson and James Safechuck are believed to be the two 30-year-old men featured in 'Leaving Neverland'.

Taj's brother, TJ Jackson, also tweeted, "It will always be a flaw of humanity to cheat and exploit a beloved popular figure for personal gain. Do know the main actors involved swore under oath of my uncle’s innocence. What’s changed? The need for $. I feel terrible for my uncle & my cousins. They are the true victims."

Statement From The Estate Of Michael Jackson. 10-01-'18

Earlier today certain media ran an item relating to a film included in the lineup of the Sundance Film Festival. The Estate issued the following statement to media reporting the story:

“This is yet another lurid production in an outrageous and pathetic attempt to exploit and cash in on Michael Jackson. Wade Robson and James Safechuck have both testified under oath that Michael never did anything inappropriate toward them. Safechuck and Robson, the latter a self-proclaimed ‘master of deception’, filed lawsuits against Michael’s Estate, asking for millions of dollars. Both lawsuits were dismissed. This so-called ‘documentary’ is just another rehash of dated and discredited allegations. It’s baffling why any credible filmmaker would involve himself with this project.”

Unfortunately, anyone can release a documentary and they do not have to secure permission to do so. The only time the Estate has any potential recourse is when a documentary or other film uses intellectual property such as music or video that is owned by the Estate and is not protected under “fair use” claims, which of course the Estate is monitoring. You may recall the Estate filed litigation against Disney earlier this year for violating its intellectual property rights.

As the Estate said, the individuals featured in this documentary have had their claims rejected in court.

Furthermore, Michael was declared innocent in the criminal case against him. No documentary can change that.

This mendacious documentary should NOT see the light of day. Sign the petition: End the Defamation of Michael Jackson & Pronounce His Innocence.

Documentary Accusing Jackson Of Sex Abuse To Premiere At Sundance Film Festival. 10-01-'18

A damning new documentary accusing Michael Jackson of child sexual abuse will premiere at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival. 'Leaving Neverland', named after Jackson’s infamous California ranch, tells the story of two men who claim they were abused by the hit pop singer when they were young.

“At the height of his stardom, Michael Jackson began long-running relationships with two boys, aged 7 and 10, and their families,” reads the film’s synopsis. “Now in their 30's, they tell the story of how they were sexually abused by Jackson, and how they came to terms with it years later.”

Jackson was charged with seven counts of child molestation in 2003, but was acquitted following a lengthy jury trial. He did, however, reportedly pay upwards of $20 million in civil settlements to his accusers.

The identities of 'Leaving Neverland’s' accusers haven’t been revealed, but as Rolling Stone points out, a photo that appears on the website for Amos Pictures (the company associated with the film’s production) features Jackson with Wade Robson. Robson previously filed a lawsuit against Jackson’s estate in 2013, claiming the Thriller artist abused him in the late ’80s. The suit was dismissed in 2017; according to Page Six, the judge found that the estate wasn’t liable for Robson’s exposure to Jackson, who died in 2009, but didn’t rule on the abuse allegations themselves.

Sundance Film FestivalDocumentary accusing Jackson of sex abuse to premiere at Sundance Film Festival.

“This is yet another lurid production in an outrageous and pathetic attempt to exploit and cash in on Michael Jackson,” a representative for Jackson’s estate said in a statement. “Wade Robson and James Safechuck [who has also sued the estate over abuse claims] have both testified under oath that Michael never did anything inappropriate toward them.”

“Safechuck and Robson, the latter a self-proclaimed ‘master of deception,’ filed lawsuits against Michael’s estate, asking for millions of dollars,” the statement continued. “Both lawsuits were dismissed. This so-called ‘documentary’ is just another rehash of dated and discredited allegations. It’s baffling why any credible filmmaker would involve himself with this project.”

The filmmaker behind Leaving Neverland is Dan Reed, known for helming previous TV documentaries 'Three Days Of Terror: The Charlie Attacks', 'The Paedophile Hunter', and 'The Ground Zero Mosque'.

The 2019 Sundance Film Festival begins January 24th and runs through February 3rd.

Animated Video Project. 07-01-'19

Back at the end of October, a video was uploaded to YouTube by Darren Dennis as a CGI Animated Student Project. The video was done as a celebration of Michael’s Wembley ‘Bad’ tour 30th Anniversary, where he performed a record breaking seven concerts at the venue in 1988.

Darren explains on YouTube; “This short film was created for my main project when studying the MA Animation at the University of South Wales. The main goal was to create a live concert performance using CGI Animation with the stadium filled with an audience, building a lighting rig for the stage that can be animated, and to model characters and rig them for the performance.

When I started the MA Animation course, and to make this project possible I had to learn to model, rig, skin, and animate characters, as most of my modeling in Maya before were mainly building environments. Myself exclusively created the work shown in this short film, which includes the CG Animation, Compositing, Lighting, Modeling, Rendering, Rigging, and Texturing. The software used: After Effects, Arnold, Maya, Nuke, and Photoshop. This is a non-profit short film created for education as part of the Master Degree in Animation.”

Monkey Business: Bubbles The Movie Exposes Michael Jackson’s Pet’s Life. 03-01-'19

MJ and BubblesA stop-motion animated flick about the tongue-in-cheek life of Michael Jackson’s pet chimpanzee Bubbles has Hollywood buzzing, RadarOnline.com exclusively learned.

“This was in the works for a while, but now it’s fully green-lit and the priority is to have it completed by the end of 2019,” spilled an insider.

“It’s going to tell the story of this chimp’s incredible journey from birth in a medical lab to adoption by a famous pop star when he was eight months old, told through Bubbles’ eyes.”

Bubbles lived a life of luxury at Neverland Ranch with Jackson, traveling the world with his loving human owner. He even played with Prince Michael, Paris and Blanket when they were youngsters.

Bubbles was even friends with other A-listers as Jennifer Love Hewitt filmed a commercial with Jackson and met the pet chimp on set when she was just 10-years-old.

“I got to meet Bubbles!” Love Hewitt told Jimmy Kimmel on his show, adding that she even gave the adorable animal a “high-five!”

Few know what happened to Bubbles after Jackson gave him away — but Radar exclusively revealed the primate, now 35, lives in comfortable retirement at The Center for Great Apes in Wauchula, Fla., without the help of his famous late owner.

“Bubbles was not provided for in Michael Jackson’s will,” Patti Ragan, founder of the Center for Great Apes in Wauchula, Florida, where the former pet is living “in retirement” told the Radar.

Notorious B.I.GThe Time The Notorious B.I.G. Met Michael Jackson. 01-01-'19

Biggie was one of the few rappers who collaborated with The King of Pop.

The Notorious B.I.G. may have only had a few years in the spotlight before his life was tragically cut short, but he still managed to find time to collaborate with another legendary artist, Michael Jackson. The pair hooked up for 'This Time Around'—a cut off Jackson’s 1995 album 'HIStory: Past, Present And Future, Book I'. In early 2018, a user on Reddit found a forum post where an engineer recalled the session between the two superstars.

In the original post, which was from audio site Gearslutz back in June 2009, the engineer explained how he and producer Dallas Austin recorded Big’s vocals. According to the engineer, Michael wanted Biggie on his album. Biggie came to the studio and wanted to meet Michael, but they asked Big to record his verse first.

“During his first take, Dallas and I looked at each other, because it was spot on,” writes the engineer. “I was impressed, and so was Dallas. We listened back, and Dallas was like, ‘Wow, I think we got it.’ As I recall, we took another take for good measure, but I’m fairly certain that we ended up using the first take.”

Afterwards, Big once again asked to meet Michael. In the post, the engineer recalls:

“Simply for security, Michael’s security would enter and make sure that no one was in the room that shouldn’t be, and once that was confirmed (it was just me, Biggie and Dallas), Michael came in. Biggie nearly broke out in tears…I could tell how much this meant to him. Well, Michael could have this effect on anyone, even the most hardcore rappers! Biggie was tripping up on his words, bowing down and telling Michael how much his music had meant to him in his life. Michael was, as always, very humble and kept smiling while Biggie just went on and on how much he loved Michael. I watched Biggie just become this big butterball of a man, and it was really very sweet to witness.

According to the post, Michael then asked to hear the song and loved it, thanking Biggie for coming to the studio.

“Biggie asked rather sheepishly whether he could get a photo, and Michael agreed,” writes the engineer. “A shot was taken, we listened again, and Michael thanked Biggie. Michael said goodbye and stepped out, leaving Biggie standing there looking completely stunned.”

On the track, Big and Michael both talk about his struggles with fame and how it’s made them weary of critics out to get them. MJ’s verses are uncharacteristically aggressive as he seemingly takes shots at the media:

"Though you really want to get me
Somebody’s out, somebody’s out to get me
You really want to fix me, hit me
But this time around I’m taking no shit “

Meanwhile, Biggie’s verse is just as paranoid as he deals with his then-newfound fame:

"Listen I got problems of my own
Flashing cameras taps on my phone
Even in my home I ain’t safe as I should be “
'This Time Around' was released as the fourth single to 'HIStory' and peaked at No. 23 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay.

In addition to Biggie, Jackson also worked with rappers like Wreckx-N-Effect, Heavy D, and JAY-Z in his lifetime before passing away in 2009. Earlier this year, Jackson’s vocals from a 1983 recording session were featured on Drake’s 'Scorpion' cut 'Don’t Matter To Me'.
