#HonorMJ: The Official Michael Jackson Estate Campaign. 31-05-'19

The Michael Jackson Estate are launching a campaign in memory Michael Jackson’s decade long passing with a hashtag.

Here is the message from the Michael Jackson Estate:

As you all know, it is the Estate’s tradition to acknowledge the date of Michael’s passing each year, but not draw too much attention to it as they wish to celebrate Michael’s life, and not dwell on his death. This is also why there is always an Estate organized event on Michael’s birthday for the fans to gather and celebrate and the recognition of the anniversary of his passing remains muted.

We know this year feels more significant, however, as it has shockingly been an entire decade since we lost Michael Jackson. As the 10-year anniversary of Michael’s passing nears, the Estate feels that there is no better way to remember and honor Michael than to pay tribute to his lifelong commitment to helping others and caring for the planet we all share. So the Estate has decided to launch the #HonorMJ campaign which will be announced on Michael’s social media pages on June 4. This is not a fund raising campaign – it’s about how each of us can make a difference in the life of another human being – whether it is someone we know personally or not. While the Estate will offer some examples of things that can be done, it is up to each of you to do what feels right for you as a way of helping make the world better. It can be anything you want it to be that you think reflects Michael’s message. The list of possibilities is endless.

Details for the campaign will be posted as the Spotlight Story on the home page of MichaelJackson.com on June 4, with the simple instructions on how to participate.

We look forward to seeing your images and seeing how each of you choose to honor Michael’s humanitarian legacy. Keep Michaeling.

HBO Wins First Round In Michael Jackson Estate's 'Leaving Neverland' Lawsuit. 29-05-'19

HBOA federal judge refuses to let an arbitrator determine jurisdiction in a controversy over whether the documentary disparaged the late pop singer.

The dispute over 'Leaving Neverland', HBO's documentary detailing alleged child sex abuse by Michael Jackson, will stay in open court for now. Following a hearing last week, a federal judge on Tuesday (May 28) decided to reject a motion from the Michael Jackson Estate to immediately throw the case to an arbitrator.

The Michael Jackson Estate sued HBO shortly before 'Leaving Neverland' premiered on March 3. The plaintiff alleges that the film constitutes a breach of a non-disparagement clause in a 27-year-old agreement, one that provided the pay network with rights to air a televised concert following the release of Jackson's album, 'Dangerous'. But the Michael Jackson Estate doesn't actually wish to litigate in open court. Instead, Jackson's heirs invoked an arbitration clause in that old deal and aimed to get a Los Angeles Superior Court judge to compel a showdown before the American Arbitration Association.

In response, HBO had the case removed from state to federal court in California. Characterizing the Michael Jackson Estate's whole legal endeavor as a "transparent effort to bolster their publicity campaign against the documentary" by skirting legal precedent against posthumous defamation claims, HBO denied there was any enforceable agreement that hadn't expired and actually covered 'Leaving Neverland'. The AT&T subsidiary further argued that any over-reading of the 1992 contract would violate both its due process rights as well as the First Amendment.

From there, the parties fought a battle inside the larger legal war to resolve the question of where the dispute would be adjudicated. While the issue of forum may seem like a boring procedural issue, it has the potential of determining the entire case because if the arbitration provision is inoperable, so too likely are the confidentiality and non-disparagement clauses that provide the basis for claims by the Michael Jackson Estate.

HBO argued that under the Federal Arbitration Act, the federal judge had to decide the "gateway issues of validity and arbitrability." Such analysis would turn, according to the network's lawyers, on whether HBO clearly and unmistakably manifested an intent back in 1992 to have an arbitrator determine jurisdiction. HBO also brought up old rules (since amended) by the AAA with respect to the invocation of jurisdiction.

The Michael Jackson Estate framed such arguments as "classic tautology," opining in a court brief that "it assumes the very conclusion that HBO wants an adjudicator to reach in this dispute, i.e., that there are no remaining obligations under the Agreement."

U.S. District Court Judge George H. Wu doesn't see clear and unmistakable evidence regarding arbitration. He's both denied motions to remand the case back to state court as well as compel arbitration.

That represents an initial win for HBO.

That said, the judge is directing the parties to deliver supplemental briefing on the issue of arbitration. The next couple of months will have the two sides exploring the meaning of that 1992 deal. Wu then will come to a new decision about the prospect of arbitration. If HBO wins, it likely won't have to even get into the issue of whether 'Leaving Neverland' damaged Michael Jackson.

Gone Too Soon Documentary'Gone Too Soon' Documentary In France. 26-05-'19

Since 'Leaving Neverland', the amount of “documentary” about Michael Jackson is increasing!

On June 4th, France will see a new documentary (a real one for once) about Michael Jackson with interviews with Joe Jackson [said to be the last interview he did], Tito & Jermaine, Rob Swinson & Ray Robledo [who both worked on Neverland Ranch], Matt Forger, Ola Ray, Larry Nimmer, Vincent Paterson and many more.

The documentary called 'Michael Jackson Gone Too Soon', 25th June 2009. 10 years later. Family, Friends and Inner Circle remember” and will be broadcast on French Channel TMC at 10.50pm on June 4th.

Few fans in France managed to see the premiere of the documentary and the reviews are that the film is more about how Michael Jackson passed away and the reaction of those who knew him. The film is set for the general public so fans cannot expect any big revelation or deeper investigation into June 25th 2009.

While some imagery can be chocking, the documentary is pretty positive and does not mention anything about 'Leaving Neverland'. It is a retrospective of Michael’s childhood and to understand how he got to June 25th.

Michael Jackson's Estate And Former Manager Tohme Tohme Settle Lawsuit. 24-05-'19

Tohme TohmeA settlement has been reached in a lawsuit between Tohme Tohme and Michael Jackson’s Estate.

The settlement announced Thursday (May 23) with Tohme Tohme ends one of the last remaining legal fights involving Michael Jackson’s Estate.

The deal came after five days of the trial had already been held. Terms of the agreement were not released.

Tohme had initially sought nearly $20 million in commissions from the Jackson estate when he first filed the lawsuit in 2012.

Before trial began, a judge threw out part of the lawsuit in which Tohme sought part of the profits of the concert film 'This is It', which was released after Michael’s death.

Also, the Estate has started the lawsuit against HBO regarding 'Leaving Neverland' and maybe the will to get this one out of the way as quick as possible to concentrate on HBO was maybe why this has been settled quickly.

Radio Stations Drop Michael Jackson's Music After 'Leaving Neverland' Documentary. 22-05-'19

Leaving NeverlandA number of radio stations worldwide have dropped Michael Jackson's music in the wake of a new documentary publishing sexual assault allegations against the singer.

Two-part documentary 'Leaving Neverland' has already aired in the US on HBO, and is set to air on Channel 4 at 9pm today and tomorrow.

The two hour-long episodes hear from Wade Robson and James Safechuck - now grown men - who claim that Jackson abused them as children.

While the Jackson Estate has reacted with threats of legal action against the documentary and called it a "public lynching", the response from viewers has led a number of radio stations in New Zealand, Canada and other countries to make the decision to pull MJ's music.

"Michael Jackson isn't currently on any MediaWorks Radio stations' playlists," company director for radio Leon Wratt said in a statement.

He added: "This is a reflection of our audiences and their preferences - it is our job to ensure our radio stations are playing the music people want to hear."

Radio NZ said that it would only play Jackson's music if it was "part of a news story or to provide colour around a commentary piece".

And NZME director Dean Buchanan said: "Playlists change from week to week and right now Michael Jackson does not feature on them."

Four radio stations in Canada - three in Montreal and one in Quebec - are not playing Jackson's songs.

Amsterdam-based NHRadio and Norway's NRK have also followed suit.

However, the BBC has denied that it has pulled his music after it was reported by Variety it had been "quietly dropped" from one station.

Wade Robson says Jackson began abusing him aged seven, and Safechuck says he was aged 10 when the alleged abuse started.

Directed and produced by Emmy Award-nominated British filmmaker Dan Reed, the 'Leaving Neverland' synopsis reads: 'Leaving Neverland' is a two-part documentary exploring the separate but parallel experiences of two young boys, James Safechuck, at age 10, and Wade Robson, at age seven, both of whom were befriended by Michael Jackson.

"Through gut-wrenching interviews with Safechuck, now 37, and Robson, now 41, as well as their mothers, wives and siblings, the film crafts a portrait of sustained abuse, exploring the complicated feelings that led both men to confront their experiences after both had a young son of his own."

'Leaving Neverland' airs on Channel 4 tonight and tomorrow at 9pm.

Michael Jackson Bodyguard Matt Fiddes Warns New Doc Will "Ruin 'Leaving Neverland' Director's Career". 22-05-'19

Matt FiddesMichael Jackson's former bodyguard Matt Fiddes has shared a clip from an explosive new documentary which he says will ruin the career of 'Leaving Neverland' director Dan Reed.

Fiddes, who worked with the singer for 10 years, is backing new movie 'Michael Jackson: Chase The Truth', which aims to debunk the child sex abuse claims made in 'Leaving Neverland'.

Click here to watch the video.

In a post on Instagram today, Fiddes gave fans a look at the film ahead of its release next month and warned it will "get the real truth out".

He wrote: "I have just been sent the 2nd teaser for the @michaeljackson documentary being released next month.

"Here it is! It’s looking good! If I was the director of #leavingneverland I would be very concerned about my career right now!

"Let’s all get behind this #michaeljackson documentary and get the real truth out!

"I will update you on this page as and when @entertainmeproductions give me release dates and maybe a premiere date of the film."

In harrowing Channel 4 documentary, 'Leaving Neverland', Wade Robson and James Safechuck both claimed Jackson groomed and molested them.

However, personal trainer Fiddes believes that with a team of 100 security guards and 150 staff in total, there's no way Jackson and the boys could ever have been alone at his Neverland Ranch, where the abuse allegedly took place.

Revealing his role in 'Chase The Truth', Fiddes explained: "It is near on impossible for anyone to get past staff and the security in place.

Fans could not get past us and would go to extreme levels to meet Michael. And Michael was never alone when travelling with his friends/family/nannies in tow and many other members of the entourage!"

Both Wade and James claimed they were molested by Jackson in his bedroom and closet, and that the father-of-three had a system of alarms outside his bedroom to alert him if anyone came near.

But according to Fiddes, the "secret room" was actually a panic room that was built before Jackson bought Neverland in 1987.

"People used to parachute into Neverland in the hope to meet their idol and he had to run to his panic room! Corridor alarms when people approach your private space is normal for all superstars!" Fiddes said.

"And even cameras above his bedroom door for surveillance by bodyguards while on the road too as well as nighttime security bedroom door security. He was checked on through the night too by phone calls!"

Chase The Truth also features Jackson biographer Mike Smallcombe, who revealed to Mirror Online how he had debunked the theory that the singer abused children in the Neverland train station.

Director Reed later addressed the doubters, tweeting: "Progress - seem to have conceded that Safechuck was molested and are now debating which rooms at Neverland the sex took place in + James' age when it stopped.

"How about adding up total number of nights MJ slept with other people’s sons: was it hundreds or thousands?"

The Jackson family have hit back at the 'Leaving Neverland' allegations and compared the hounding of Michael to a "public lynching", especially as the late singer is unable to defend himself in person.

The superstar, who was previously tried on child molestation charges and acquitted on every count, died in 2009 at the aged of 50.

Taika WaititiTaika Waititi Says Michael Jackson Film Script Is 'Brilliant'. 16-05-'19

Taika Waititi has boasted his 'Bubbles' script about the life of Michael Jackson is ''brilliant''.

The 43-year-old filmmaker's animation tells Michael Jackson's life story through the eyes of his famous pet chimpanzee called Bubbles and although the project is ''stuck in the early stages'' he's proud of his story and thinks the concept is ''so cool''.

Speaking to Deadline, he said: ''That script has been around for a long time, and it's a little bit stuck in the early stages of trying to figure out what it could be and what it would look like.

''It's a f***ing brilliant script, though. It's so cool to look at the idea of telling a story like this through the eyes of a chimpanzee.

''But right now I'm finishing two other features - one which I'm looking to do this year - and finishing 'Jojo [Rabbit], and there are a couple of TV shows I'm developing. There's about two or three that I mentioned to the press, and they're way back on my backburner.''

The 'Thor: Ragnarok' director is currently working on dark comedy film 'Jojo Rabbit' which follows 10-year-old boy Jojo, a proud member of the Hitler Youth who falls in love with a Jewish girl he finds hiding from the fascist force in an attic.

Taika plays Jojo's imaginary friend, a version of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, but he didn't do any research for the role because he knows the dictator is ''such a f***ing ****''.

He said: ''I didn't base him on anything I'd seen about Hitler before. I just made him a version of myself that happened to have a bad haircut and a sh*tty little moustache. And a mediocre German accent. It would just be too weird to play the actual Hitler, and I don't think people would enjoy the character as much. Because he was such a f***ing **** and everyone knows that as well.''

Blanket was there to cheer on older brother Prince.

Prince had previously vowed to carry on his father Michael's charity work.

Speaking as he collected the Motif Lifetime Medal of Honor, he said: ''This is a really special moment for me. My dad did some cool things, but his biggest passion was helping others. I learned how important that was from him. We called the foundation Heal L.A., because the goal was to further the cause of dad's Heal the World organisation and start locally by helping out at home. John and I got together with a few of our friends at school and decided to do little things to help out. All of a sudden, it just got bigger and bigger. We were giving more and hosting more events, and all of these amazing people started helping. Let's heal L.A. and Heal the World.''

KINGVENTIONKINGVENTION Needs Your Help. 16-05-'19

As you all know, KINGVENTION – the European Michael Jackson Convention will take place inn Central London on September 21.

Following an earlier post on Social Media, the Event told fans that they have lost all their sponsors following the so called documentary 'Leaving Neverland'.

Today, the event organisers are asking a bit of help from the fans, especially those who cannot attend the event.

Their aim is to put a massive Michael Jackson imagery outside the venue: The Saw Theatre which is in the center of London City near one of the busiest Train Station.

Here the facade they would like to cover up with Michael Jackson.

Here the full statement:

Kingvention was always scheduled to return in 2019 after taking a break last year. What we didn’t anticipate was how its return would come at a time of such unrest in the world of Michael Jackson.

So this year is different. We feel compelled to do Kingvention and to make it even bigger, even more celebratory and even more inclusive for Michael’s fans and we’re making every effort to do just that, which includes moving to a much grander venue.

But doing so ultimately comes with something London is famous for…a larger price tag. And we expected that, but we don’t want to comprise of making the event anything less than a huge celebration of Michael Jackson.

So what do we need help with?

– We’d like to be able to absolutely cover the venue in all things Michael Jackson, including the outside facade. We want passers by to see that a Michael Jackson event is taking place, because he is loved and celebrated.
So, if you’re able to help with a small donation, £1, £5, £20, or whatever you’d like to give, we’d love to be able to make this a reality.

Why do we need support?

– When we assessed how we’d like to dress the new venue, many factors came up including the need for specialist personnel and a ‘cherry picker’ (Beat It style!) to cover the outside facade. These all come with additional costs that we didn’t incur previously at our old venue. So any support we could receive in making this happen would be extremely welcomed.

What it’s important to know

– All the team who create and run Kingvention do so for free and aren’t paid for their time, efforts, involvement or participation on the day. They all work to create the event out of love for Michael Jackson. We pull in friends, partners, family members (even Grandparents!) to help so we can ensure every penny goes into making Kingvention even bigger and better each time.

So with all that said, if you’re able to make a small contribution we’d be most grateful. We’ll be sure to share plenty of pictures online after the event and we’ll even put your name in the program as a thank you.

You can also donate what you can:

Captain EO DVD CoverWill 'Captain EO' Be Part Of 'Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge'. 14-05-'19

If you are a 'Star Wars' fan, you will know that Disneylands will open a new section of their parks called 'Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge'.

The section will be fully dedicated to Star Wars obviously and a lot of questions have been raised about the old attractions like Star Tours which opened in 1987.

“Our other 'Star Wars' offerings — Star Tours and other things that we have in the park — those are not going away,” Imagineering portfolio creative executive Scott Trowbridge said. “We have no plans right now. We’re not announcing any changes to any of that stuff right now.”

The new 14-acre Galaxy’s Edge will open on May 31 at Disneyland.
Star Tours debuted at Disneyland in 1987 long before Disney acquired Lucas film and the 'Star Wars' franchise. The addition of the 'Star Wars' ride came at a time in the 1980's and 90's when Disney was introducing attractions based on non-Disney intellectual properties like the 'Indiana Jones Adventure', 'Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin' and Michael Jackson’s 'Captain EO'.

Will 'Captain EO' return to the new themed 'Star Wars' section of Disneyland? We can only hope but with the Estate suing Walt Disney Company regarding the ABC TV network’s 'The Last Days Of Michael Jackson' documentary over copyright infringement, it seems our Captain will not be back any time soon to Disney parks!

We can however still dream that 'Captain EO' could be part of it especially since Disney was in the process to include the character to their Disney Infinity!

Nothing is lost yet! We can change the world!

Onetime Michael Jackson Manager Dr. Tohme Tohme Seeks Millions From His Estate. 14-05-'19

Tohme_TohmeThe first phase of trial is scheduled to begin Tuesday in a multimillion-dollar lawsuit brought against Michael Jackson’s estate by a former manager for the singer who alleges he is owed commissions for his work on behalf of the late King of Pop.

Tohme R. Tohme says he is due a 15% commission on compensation that Jackson received in 2009, the year the entertainer died, as well as a share of 'This Is It', the documentary of Jackson’s rehearsals for concerts planned for London that were canceled because of his death.

“After Tohme’s success in helping Michael Jackson save his Neverland Ranch estate from foreclosure, Michael Jackson asked Tohme to serve as his manager,” according to Tohme’s court papers.

Tohme was among a parade of confidants who entered Jackson’s life in the years before he died.

Tohme devoted his resources, time and energy into bringing Jackson back into the public eye as the King of Pop, the suit says. He was responsible for Jackson entering contracts that benefited him and later his estate, it says.

Tohme is seeking about $18.7 million, records show. Lawyers for the Jackson estate maintain that Tohme’s explanation of the contract is incorrect and that the judge should “reject Tohme’s proffered interpretation and hold that he has no right to commission income received after the ... agreement terminated, including income received by the estate from the exploitation of the motion picture ‘This Is It.’”

Tohme sued the Jackson estate in February 2012. Santa Monica Superior Court Judge Mark Young will make the final contract interpretation.

The witness list includes Jackson’s mother, Katherine, and brother Jermaine.

Jackson died June 25, 2009, at 50 of acute propofol intoxication.

Michael Jackson's Doctor Neil Ratner Warned Star Over His Unhealthy Obsession With Kids. 13-05-'19

Dr. Neil RatnerMichael Jackson 's former doctor has revealed he begged the superstar to end his unhealthy obsession with kids.

Dr. Neil Ratner was the King of Pop's private physician during the 1990's and often accompanied him on tour.

He has now spoken out about Jackson's friendships with young boys, insisting he warned the singer to change his ways.

However, Dr. Ratner said that although Jackson's behaviour was odd, he never suspected his boss was abusing the youngsters.

He told The Sun Online : "As much joy as [being with kids] it brought him it led to the biggest problems in his life as well.

"Did he like children more than adults? Probably...

"I talked to him about it. I said ‘this is not good behaviour for a 50-year-old-man’...

"Believe me, if I had seen or suspected... I don’t want to be around that. I don’t condone that. I don’t want to see kids abused.

"I’m a doctor. It’s my duty to stop it and prevent it from happening."

Dr. Ratner explained that Jackson was a "manchild" who just didn't want to grow up and was obsessed with a Peter Pan fantasy of staying young forever.

The medic insisted he and many others tried to get Jackson to face up to his problems and embrace being a grown-up, but he was "stuck".

His comments come months after the release of headline-grabbing documentary 'Leaving Neverland', in which James Safechuck and Wade Robson accused the star of horrific sexual abuse.

In the film, Robson and Safechuck alleged Jackson had abused them from the ages of 10 and seven respectively, after they were befriended by the King of Pop.

The Jackson family have hit back at the allegations and compared the hounding of Michael to a "public lynching", especially as the late singer is unable to defend himself in person.

The superstar, who was previously tried on child molestation charges and acquitted on every count, died in 2009 at the aged of 50.

Taj JacksonUpdate From Taj Jackson About His Documentary. 12-05-'19

It’s May 12th and I feel really good about the forward momentum and also what’s going on behind the scenes.
Each day more and more people are realizing that 'Leaving Neverland' is one big fat lie. I am also grateful that Madonna took a pro stance defending my uncle Michael. However there is still a lot to do.
This project, as I have stated many times before, will focus on and debunk the biggest lies and rumors that the media has been carelessly recycling for decades.

Good News:
Some major allies have offered their help and support. I am constantly amazed at and reminded of the love and support for my uncle that has come from all over the world.

Phone Chats:
I have had some very interesting and important phone conversations this last week. I have a couple more in upcoming days.
The more people I talk to, the more I am sure that my approach will be the right one.

Watching:
I’ve also have been watching Documentary after Documentary on my free time. Some of them really good, some of them not.
One thing is for sure, this project has to be high quality and be at the standard my uncle would have demanded.

Tests:
Last but not least, I have done a couple of camera tests this past week and have some more next week.

I truly appreciate you guys supporting my uncle and wanting to see justice.

Help spread the word!
