'Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever' VHS video was released in 1985 in the UK by MGM/UA Home Video. It's a 1983 television special produced by Suzanne de Passe for Motown Records, to commemorate Motown's twenty-fifth year of existence.


This all-star reunion features vintage sixties footage and live performances by some of the greatest Motown stars. Michael Jackson sings 'Billie Jean' and teams up with The Jackson Five. A medley of hits are sung by Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder. Smokey Robinson joins Linda Ronstadt to sing 'Tracks Of My Tears'. The all-star line up includes the historic reunion with Diana Ross and The Supremes. This programme captures the magic of Motown sound yesterday, today, and forever.

Michael Jackson's 'Billie Jean' performance received significant applause from the audience, especially when Jackson executed his trademark moonwalk for the first time.
