'Last Days Of Michael Jackson' special' airs on E! Investigates, as questions arise about the nature of his death, revelations of his often bizarre life continue to be brought the light.

'Michael Jackson: Legacy' short special airs on ABC's 20/20 in the summer, Justin Bieber and other stars talk about influence Jackson had on them. He was there inspiration, there mentor and idol.

In the autumn the Michael Jackson 'Thriller' Bust (limited edition to 1982 pieces/worldwide) and the Michael Jackson 'Thriller' Bust (ultra limited edition to 82 pieces/worldwide) is released in Italy and made in China, distributed by Infinite Statue Srl.

'Michael Jackson limited edition iPad' from the Philippines is a individually-numbered MJ iPad, one super rarity for sure - this is number 10 of only 150 sets produced in the world! It was to win through one digital download contest. This was part of a competition held by Sony Music Philippines from December 2010 until February 28th, 2011 for those who bought the 'Michael' CD at Astroplus, Astrovision, Odyssey and O Music stores and filled up the raffle coupon.

January 10:

A&E airs the 5th episode of The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty.

At the Barbados Music Awards Joseph Jackson received an International Icon Award and the International Lifetime Achievement Award (in memoriam) on behalf of his son, the late Michael Jackson.
The show was taken to another level in the tribute to Michael Jackson.

January 15:

Michael Jackson is awarded with a posthumous prize for his worldwide charity work at the 5th Semper Opera Ball in Dresden, Germany. LaToya Jackson accepts the 'St. George's Great Medal of Gratitude' honouring her late brother Michael.

January 17:

A&E airs the 6th and final episode of The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty.

January 23:

VH1 airs a 30 minute special, 'All Access: Making Michael Jackson's This Is It' took viewers behind the scenes of the making of 'This Is It' tour prior to his premature passing.

The marriage certificate Michael and Lisa Marie signed sold online for $70.800 during bidding at Philip Weiss Auctions.

January 27:

'Michael Jackson In Soul Train' DVD is released in Japan by Sony Pictures Entertainment.

January 31:

The Recording Academy pays tribute to Michael during the 52nd Grammy Awards at the Staples Center in L.A and live on CBS. It features a 3D mini movie of his song 'Earth Song' that was designed for his 'This is It' Tour. The following perform alongside the mini movie: Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Smokey Robinson, Carrie Underwood & Usher.
And then Lionel Richie presents the Michael Jackson's Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award to Prince & Paris (joined by the 3T) who give a short and emotional speech. Backstage after the tribute, Prince, Paris & Blanket pose for a picture with Lionel Richie.

February 1:

25 years after recording the original version with Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones is re-recording the charity song 'We Are The World' for Haiti.

February 5:

The Dateline special 'The Secret Life of Michael Jackson' airs on NBC, Josh Mankiewicz reports on new details on the investigation into why Jackson died, revealing potentially key evidence that has never been publicly reported.

February 8:

Dr. Conrad Murray is arraigned and pleads not guilty to involuntary manslaughter charges in the death of Michael Jackson. He is taken into custody for booking and bail is set at $75,000.

Joe, Katherine, Jermaine, LaToya, Jackie, Tito, Randy, Rebbie, Austin, Grace and Karen attend the hearing. The judge rules as a condition to bail, Murray cannot be in possession of (or prescribe) anesthetics and specifically mentioned Propofol. At one point the judge says, "I do not want you sedating people."Murray has to surrender his passport. Murray will be in court again on April 5.

Joseph Jackson is a guest on Larry King Live on CNN with lawyer Brian Oxman.

The 41th annual NAACP Image Awards held at The Shrine Auditorium on February 26, 2010 in Los Angeles, California celebrated the accomplishments of people of color working in the fields of literature, music, television and film. Michael has won in one categorie; Outstanding Variety – (Series or Special): Michael Jackson Memorial Service: Celebrating the Life of Michael Jackson” (ABC, BET, CNN, MTV, NBC, . . .).

'Famous Crime Scene' special airs on MTV, it takes on the story behind the murder of Michael Jackson with all new revealing details and takes viewers to the scene of the most talked-about deaths in pop culture history.

March 1:

L.A. Children & Family Services go to Hayvenhurst to check on Michael's children after receiving a secret call from Grace Rwaramba claiming that Blanket was threatened by a stun gun purchased online by Jaafar. When the family finds out that Grace made the call she is fired.

'This Is It' DVD & Blue-ray of Michael Jackson is released in the USA by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Inc.

March 3:

The 20th Annual Echo Awards (German Music Awards) were presented in Berlin and as a special tribute, Jackson was awarded with an Echo award for 'Best International Artist of the Year' in 1993 and inducted into Echo Hall of Fame in 2010.

March 7:

Randy Jackson received the “Angel Award” on behalf of his late brother Michael Jackson at the 11th Annual 'Children Uniting Nations Oscar Celebration' held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

March 15:

TMZ has confirmed the Michael Jackson estate has signed the biggest deal ever in music -- worth up to $250 million with a guarantee of $200 million. The estate made the deal with Sony Music Entertainment -- the contract is for 10 projects over seven years.One album will debut in November, which contains never-before released recordings. We're told Jackson left enough material for at least three albums of fresh material. A source tells TMZ the royalty rate on foreign sales is the key to the deal -- and 2/3 of the sales of MJ records traditionally have been outside the U.S.And we're told Sony gets a two-year extension for the right to distribute the Michael Jackson catalog -- to 2017. The deal has nothing to do with The Beatles' catalog -- it's all about MJ original recordings.The agreement was brokered by John Branca and John McClain, executors of the MJ estate.

LaToya Jackson received an award from Stefano Cecchi, of Cecchi Records, on behalf of her brother Michael for his lifetime achievement in the music industry during a private Gala dinner in Malta.

April 19:

Raymone Bain -- Jackson's longtime publicist/manager/friend -- had filed the docs claiming MJ owed her more than $44 mil in back wages and profit sharing. But today, MJ's estate finally got back to Bain -- with a big, fat, rejection stamp. Bain is the latest in a series of creditors' claims to be denied by the estate -- with more denials expected to be on the way shortly.

April 20:

TMZ has learned the executors for Michael's estate have signed a huge deal with Cirque du Soleil. Co-executor John Branca tells TMZ, the first show will open in fall of 2011 -- and will travel throughout North America including the Staples Center in L.A. ... the same venue where MJ's memorial was held. The show will be heavily focused on dancing -- honoring the legendary moves of MJ. It will also feature Jackson's songs and have the trademark Cirque du Soleil acrobatics.In 2012, a second show -- in partnership with MGM MIRAGE -- will open in Las Vegas which will be far more theatrical with emphasis on technology and 3D. "It will be a theme-park-like show," says Branca. Sources say the shows will be worth a fortune to the estate. Cirque and the estate will split costs and profits.

April 29:

True Crime with Aphrodite Jones documentary TV series is aired on Investigation Discovery, hosted by Aphrodite Jones, this episode is about Michael Jackson.

May 3:

'Moonwalker' Blu-ray is released by Warner Home Video.

May 6:

'Got To Be There' + 'Forever, Michael' double CD album by Michael Jackson is released by Universal.

June:

Michael has won the Gold Otto Award from the popular German Magazine "BRAVO" for voted the most popular male singer in 2009. BRAVO-editor Alex Gernandt handed the BRAVO Gold Otto Award for her son to Katherine Jackson. Katherine reveals: "It is good to know that the fans have not forgotten Michael."

June 2:

LaToya Jackson received a tribute award for her brother Michael at the 8th annual Muz-TV Awards held at Moscow's Olympic Stadium, Russia “for contribution into the international pop-culture” on behalf of her brother. The Muz-TV Awards is an award presented annually to Russian pop musicians since 2003.

June 14:

Michael is inducted into the Apollo Theater's Hall Of Fame in NYC. Jamie Foxx introduces Michael's induction and Chris Tucker accepts Michael's award on behalf of his family and children.

June 15:

Randy is taken to the hospital after suffering from chest pains.

June 16:

Katherine, Prince, Paris, Blanket, Alejandra, Genevieve, Stevaanna, TJ, Taj & Austin attend Randy Jr & Donte's graduation.

June 17:

Katherine gives a two hour long interview to Marc Schaffel in order to promote her new book "Never Can Say Goodbye : The Katherine Jackson Archives".

June 18:

'King of Pop' special airs on German station ZDF, a year after his sudden death Markus Lanz travels for ZDF to California to the most successful pop musician of all time paying his respects. Markus Lanz visited in Los Angeles and around central places in the life of the eccentric artist – especially his personal Fantasia-Land, the Neverland Ranch.

June 20:

In a new interview with the Mail On Sunday, Katherine reveals that Michael's children will go to a private school for the first time in September.

June 21:

'Legenden' special airs on TV, the film by Michael Wech looks behind the legend and relate, with the help of the people close to Michael Jackson, how he from the little black child star, the "King of Pop" finally could become the sick, drug-dependent artist, who claims to its own broke.

June 22:

June 23:

Prince, Paris & Blanket leave L.A. and go on vacation in Hawaii with their cousins (Taj with his girlfriend, Taryll with wife and son Byce, TJ with wife and kids Royal & Dee Dee, Jermajesty & Jaafar).

June 25:

On the first anniversary of Michael's death. The whole world pays tribute to the 'King of Pop'.

On the anniversary of Michael's death, a huge purchase included the Swarovski-crystal-studded glove Michael wore on the 1984 Victory Tour that went for $190,000. The lucky winner of the glove was Wanda Kelley of Los Angeles, who also bought a number of Michael's albums at the auction.

Michael is on the cover of Billboard magazine.

ITV1 's GMTV airs a new LaToya's interview about Michael.

MTV & BET have Michael Jackson tribute's weekend.

CBS's Early Show airs a special musical tribute with Smokey Robinson, Marc Anthony, Christina Aguilera, LL Cool J and John Landis among others.

ABC's 20/20 airs a two-hour special featuring new interviews with Frank Cascio, Frank Dileo, Dr Tohme, Brian Oxman, Kai Chase, Randy Philips, Travis Payne, Ola Ray, Karen Faye & Michael Bush among others.

CNN airs a new documentary "Michael Jackson: His Final Days" followed by a new Jermaine's interview on Larry King Live which was taped on June 22 at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Joe & Brian Oxman file a wrongful death civil lawsuit against Dr Murray.

'Michael Jackson Commemorated', a new full-length feature film, open in 150 theatres in Japan, the one-year anniversary of the superstar's death. The footage was shot by Marc Schaffel, a former Jackson business associate. The footage was originally intended as a pilot for a reality series that never happened. It was the first and last time Michael Jackson agreed to wear a microphone to record him candidly.

'Michael Jackson After Life' special airs on ABC's 20/20, it reveals new details from those who spent lots of time with the King of Pop and stood by his side to the end. Exclusive interviewees include his personal makeup artist, Karen Faye as well as his stylists, Michael Bush and Dennis Tompkins, who designed his wardrobe, mainly for stage, since 1985.

'The Final Days of Michael Jackson' special airs on CNN, Don Lemon gets answers to some of the mysteries surrounding the death of superstar, family members believe he was murdered and that he was worth more dead to some in the entertainment industry than alive. 'The Final Days' will include interviews with Jermaine Jackson, Tito Jackson, Rodney Jerkins, Rand Phillips, Michael Bearden and Travis Payne.

'Michael Jackson's Dollars and Cents' short special airs on ABC's 20/20 and goes about how Jackson made and spent a mountain of money - and how he felt about it.

'Michaels laatste dagen, 'This Is It' short special airs on Belgium TV station één, 'Koppen XL' report Michael's last days. The English journalist Jacques Peretti pulled immediately after his death last year to Los Angeles to talk. With friends and acquaintances of The King of Pop Because even now the circumstances of his death remain unclear.

June 26:

Katherine & Joe attend a tribute party for Michael named "Forever Michael" at the Beverly Hilton Hotel with speeches by Mickey Rooney, Corey Feldman & Anthony Jackson and a performance by Genevieve Jackson. The money from the event will go to the Jackson Family Foundation.

June 27:

Chris Brown gives pays tribute to Michael during a performance the BET Awards and he breaks down crying during 'Man In The Mirror'.

A rare clip of Michael Jackson out 1988 was leaked on YouTube, footage shows Michael and Michael Bush behind the scenes for 'Speed Demon' (Moonwalker'). Michael is being recorded by his stylist Karen Faye.

June 30:

'De Getekende Biografie' book of Michael Jackson is released in Holland by Silvester Strips.

July:

After 2 weeks of vacation in Hawaii & Florida, Prince, Paris, Blanket & their cousins fly back to Los Angeles.

Michael Jackson was inducted into the National Museum Of Dance Hall Of Fame in Saratoga Springs, New York. He became the first person from the world of pop music to be honored, which was usually dominated by Ballet and Modern Dance. Marlon Jackson accepted the award in Michael's honor saying that he wished Michael could be there in person to accept it himself.

August 23:

Katherine, Joe, Rebbie & Randy attend a Conrad Murray hearing at the Los Angeles Court where Judge Michael Paster sets January 4, 2011 as the preliminary hearing for the trial.

August 25:

Prince & Paris start private school at the Buckley school in the San Fernando Valley.

Blanket remains home schooled at Hayvenhurst.

August 26:

Over 100,000 people voted Michael Jackson as the CNN Number One Global Music Icon of all time. Michael beat off competition from The Beatles, Leslie Cheung, Elvis Presley and Bob Marley.

August 29:

Michael Jackson would have been 52 this year.

The whole world pays tribute to Michael on his birthday.

Spike Lee hosts the second annual "Brooklyn loves Michael Jackson birthday celebration" in the Prospect Park, Brooklyn

Teddy Riley & Lenny Kravitz announce that they are working on songs for the "new" album to be released later this year by Sony.

August 31:

'Icon' CD album and 'Icon 2' double CD album of The Jackson 5 are released in the USA and EU by Motown/Universal.

September 15:

Katherine, Prince, Paris & Blanket are suing AEG Live -- claiming the company breached its agreement to provide physical care for Michael -- and that AEG was negligent in their hiring of Dr. Conrad Murray as MJ's physician.
In the suit, Katherine claims AEG's contract with Michael "created a legal duty for AEG to act reasonably toward the physical well-being of Michael Jackson." In the document, Katherine also blames AEG for hiring Dr. Murray without a proper background check -- claiming, "AEG did not provide a doctor who was truly looking out for Jackson's well-being and did not provide equipment."

The suit also alleges AEG caused emotional distress to Michael's son Prince because he witnessed Michael suffering and dying, and "he was put in a position as bystander to these tragic events."

Kenny Ortega, who produced the planned London concerts for Michael, is also named as a defendant.

The attorney who filed the suit, Brian J. Panish, released a statement saying, "The purpose of this lawsuit is to prove to the world the truth about what happened to Michael Jackson, once and for all."

September 19:

Two Michael Jackson puzzles exists out of 500 pieces, 'What More Can I Give Concert' and the 'Dangerous' album cover are released by Bravado - Triumph International Inc.

September 23:

Prince Jackson, Michael Jackson's son took center stage at the "Tribute To Bambi" charity event in Berlin. He presented three handwritten manuscripts of his father's biggest hits: 'Bad,' 'Billie Jean,' and 'Smooth Criminal,' for an auction event to help support organizations in Germany that aid needy children.

October 7:

Michael Jackson is the most beloved musician of the 20th century according to a poll run by the scientific Italian Magazine "Focus Storia". Second and Third place on the podium appertain to The Queen and The Beatles.

October 9:

Oprah Winfrey's production team move into Hayvenhurst to tape an interview with Katherine. Oprah also speaks to Prince, Paris & Blanket.

October 13:

Jackson made a short film for the song 'One More Chance', but it was never released. He was charged with sexual molestation in 2003, right around the time the single was released. He was acquitted in that case.

October 15:

Michael's name once again is on display at Gardner Street Elementary School after the boards covering his name were removed. The sign is unveiled, where a member of the Los Angeles Board of Education said, "It's important for the district to value the artistic impact and humanitarian contribution that will be the lasting legacy of Michael Jackson."

October 20:

The catalog of the auction of never-before-seen Michael Jackson by Arno Bani shot in 1999 in Paris is released in French bookstores for €45 ($63) and, in a rare auction-house nod to the masses, a €19.90 ($28) edition is sold in supermarkets. Co-editors around the world signed up for translated versions without seeing any of the Bani pictures.

October 21:

Lisa Marie Presley opens up about Michael's death on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

October 29:

'Michael Jackson Treasures' book is released in the UK by Simon & Schuster.

November 4:

The much anticipated album of newly completed recordings from Michael Jackson entitled 'Michael' will be released on December 14 by Epic Records in conjunction with the Estate of Michael Jackson.

November 8:

During a special episode of the "Oprah Winfrey Show" filmed at Hayvenhurst 1 month before, Oprah interviews Katherine & Joe and she meets Prince, Paris & Blanket.

The world premiere of 'Breaking News', a full track from the album, will stream on the site www.michaeljackson.com for one week only.

November 9:

The 'Triple Feature' box set of The Jacksons is released in the USA by Sony.

November 22:

'Michael Jackson's Vision' box set is released by Epic/Sony, it includes 4,5 hours worth of material, including the full version of 'Black Or White', which was cut short after its initial release due to violent imagery and Jackson's gyrations, as well as a never-released clip for his song 'One More Chance'.

November 23:

'Michael Jackson: The Experience' is a music video game based on Michael Jackson's music and songs. It was licensed by Triumph International, developed by and published by Ubisoft, and was released for the Wii, Nintendo DS, and PlayStation Portable.

November 24:

'Compact Christmas - 4 Track EP' CD single of The Jackson 5 is released in Japan by Motown.

December:

'4 Original Albums' box set of The Jackson 5 is released in Europe by Motown/ Universal.

December 4:

'Quincy Jones - Thriller Album' documentary about jazz musician Quincy Jones broadcasted on BBC Four. Quincy, Bruce Swedien and Rod Temperton talk about Michael's biggest album 'Thriller'. How did they recorded the album in Westlake Recording Studios in Los Angeles and on the cooperation with Michael.

Jackson's glove during the Bad Tour in the late 1980's sold for $330,000 at the "Icons & Idols" auction. A jacket signed by Jackson brought in $96,000 and a fedora he wore on stage went for $72,000 at the Julien's Auctions event.

December 6:

'Hold My Hand' CD single of Michael Jackson with Akon is released by Epic/Sony.

December 8:

Guinness World Records confirms Michael Jackson’s ‘Michael’ album artwork as the world’s largest poster.

December 9:

The video clip 'Hold My Hand' is premiered.

December 13:
