The Michael Jackson StoryDigital Classics Sells Jackson Doc To A&E. 30-11-'05

Digital Classics, the TV company chaired by former Five CEO David Elstein, has finally sold 'The Michael Jackson Story' into the US, in its biggest Stateside deal to date.

Sales of the music-themed doc, made for ITV1 in the UK by Digital Classics production arm Iambic, was hinging on Michael Jackson’s acquittal on recent child molestation charges. The doc was shot and edited in 2003, before the controversial Martin Bashir documentary, widely regarded as the trigger for the legal action brought against Jackson, was aired.

Now Jackson has been acquitted, Digital Classics has confirmed the sale of the doc to the A&E Network for an initial package of rights priced at $200,000. Further rights in the territory are currently under negotiation with a further price to be agreed.

Chris Hunt, chief executive of Digital Classics, said: “We are pleased that Iambic has licensed its Michael Jackson documentary for the highest unit price that any division of Digital Classics has achieved to date for a documentary licence in the USA.”

'The Michael Jackson Story' (1×90') is a special focusing on the singer’s musical history. It was originally pulled from broadcast hours after police raided the singer’s Neverland Ranch in November 2003.

Michael Jackson reportedly slammed music mogul Tommy Mottola on a voicemail message, just days after he was accused of making a series of anti-Semitic remarks in a similar manner.

Michael is now said to have left a message for his former advisor Dieter Wiesner, either in late 2002 or early 2003, in which he rubbished Italian-American former Sony boss Mottola.

According to website PageSix.com, Jackson is reported to have said: "I'm very concerned. I don't trust that man. He thinks he's God. He thinks he's Italian Mafia."

Last Monday (November 21), a tape purporting to contain an anti-Semitic message left by Jackson for Wiesner two years ago (03) was broadcast on US TV show Good Morning America.

Wiesner is currently suing his former employer for fraud and breach of contract. He is seeking $64 million in damages.

Jackson's Ex: 'Michael Is Not The Natural Father'. 28-11-'05

Michael Jackson's ex-wife Debbie Rowe has told an Irish newspaper Michael is not the biological father of their children Prince Michael Jr and Paris.

Rowe, who was married to Jackson for three years between 1996 and 1999, claims her eight-year-old son and seven-year-old daughter were both conceived using anonymous semen brought from a sperm bank.

She tells the Sunday World, "Michael knows the truth - that he is not the natural father of Prince Michael Jr and Paris. He has to come clean.

"I have no information whatsoever about the identity of the semen donor for either child as such (semen) was obtained anonymously from a semen bank under an agreement of confidentiality."

Raymone K. BainRaymone K. Bain Responds To Semitic Leak. 24-11-'05

Attention fans of Michael Jackson,

Michael Jackson does not have a racist bone in his body. NEVER would he say anything, or do anything, that would be offensive to any ethnic group, or hurtful to any ethnic group. It is not in his character, or his being. He has spent his entire life reaching out to people throughout the world by spreading love through his music, and his philanthropic efforts.

It is unfortunate that these tapes are being disseminated throughout the airways without any "due deligence" with regards to the authenticity.

However, Mr. Mesereau is representing Mr. Jackson in this matter and the truth will be revealed.

Because this is an on-going legal matter, we are not issuing any statements at this time.

Dieter WiesnerJackson Sued By Former Manager Dieter Wiesner. 23-11-'05

Michael Jackson is being sued by his former manager for fraud and breach of contract at Los Angeles Superior Court.

Dieter Wiesner is seeking $64 million in damages alleging the 'Thriller' singer sold him merchandising rights which were already the property of a third party. Wiesner was subsequently sued by the third party.

Wiesner also claims Jackson asked him to become his manager in 2002 - but he was sacked in 2003 shortly after the 47-year-old was accused of child abuse for the second time.

The court papers state: "True to form, Jackson never paid Wiesner for the countless hours he spent rescuing Jackson from the brink of financial disaster."

'You Are So Beautiful' To Be Released 2006? 23-11-'05

'You Are So Beautiful' is a single taken from an upcoming album by Michael Jackson, planned for release in 2006.

Although full credits have not been confirmed yet, it is known that the song is written and produced by Jackson himself.

Jackson was inspired to write the song after seeing the massive support from his fans during the 2005 trial of Michael Jackson. In a phone conversation to Gloria Haydock (founder of MJ News International), Jackson said, "I can't wait to record it. I wrote it during the trial. You could let them (the fans) know." Following this phone conversation, Haydock wrote up an article, which she published on the MJ News International website, explaining full details of the phone conversation [1]. Of his love for his fans, Jackson said, "I love them and everything they do... everything. I see everything they do, I don't miss anything. I notice and feel everything, from their letters and posters and signs and gifts."

Jackson has not signed a recording contract with any record company since his departure from Epic Records in 2003. However, he has signed a one-off deal with 2 Seas Records to release a charity single he is working on titled, 'I Have A Dream'. He has also been in talks with LA Reid about signing a recording contract with Island Def Jam Records.

Concerning the release date of the single and album, Jackson said, "I'm not sure... I am writing constantly... it won't be too much longer." But many sceptics believe the single and album will be out by 2006, and will be released through Island Def Jam Records.

Jackson Accused Of Anti-Semitic Rant And Sued By Advisor For $64m. 23-11-'05

Michael JacksonMichael Jackson allegedly made a series of outrageous anti-Semitic comments on a voicemail message left for former advisor, Dieter Wiesner.

Lawyer Howard King, who represents Wiesner, allowed the tape to be played on US show Good Morning America yesterday (November 22).

The man, alleged to be Jackson, says, "They (Jews) suck. They're like leeches... I'm so tired of it... they start out the most popular person in the world, make a lot of money, big house, cars and everything. End up penniless. It is conspiracy. The Jews do it on purpose."

On Monday (November 21) Wiesner filed a $64 million lawsuit against Jackson, claiming fraud and breach of contract.

King also played tapes left with another of his clients and Jackson's former confidants, former porn producer Marc Schaffel.

In them, Jackson allegedly demands money is removed from an account he is not allowed access to and delivered to him in fast paper bags.

He is allegedly heard saying, "Marc, I really need you to get... $7 million for me as soon as possible... seven, seven and a half, umm, as an advance."

Schaffer - who is suing Jackson for $3 million in unpaid earnings and unreturned loans - says, "When he wanted large amounts, he would call and say supersize them."

Good Morning America was unable to verify the anti-Semitic message was left by Jackson, but claims it has confirmed the second message made to Schaffer requesting cash.

Schaffer and Wiesner were both unindicted co-conspirators involved in Jackson's child molestation case, at which the singer was acquitted.

It's not the first time Jackson has been accused of anti-Semitism - the New York Post reports that in 1996 song 'They Don't Care About Us', he sang, "Jew me, sue me," and "kike me, kike me".

Michael JacksonJackson Mis-Read Bathroom Sign. 17-11-'05

Michael Jackson used the ladies restroom in a Dubai shopping mall because he couldn't read the sign on the door, according to his spokeswoman.

The pop superstar was reportedly confronted with a woman who claims she caught him adjusting his make-up in a mirror in the bathroom at the Ibn Battuta Mall.

The woman - known only as Latifah M - claims she began taking pictures of Jackson on her mobile phone, which she was later forced to delete by mall security guards and Jackson's minders.

But his representative Raymone K. Bain insists the star made a simple mistake because he didn't recognise the Arabic sign on the door and left as soon as he realised where he was.

Bain says, "Upon his exit (from the ladies bathroom), he was recognized and a crowd ensued. He had to wait in a nearby bookstore until police arrived to escort him through the crowd."

Jackson is currently in Dubai staying with rally driving champion, Mohammed Bin Sulayem - who hopes to convince Jackson to make the emirate his permanent home: "He likes the place and we want him to stay for good here. He likes what he saw and we should try to convince him to buy."

Bill BrayMichael Jackson Father Figure Bill Bray Dies. 16-11-'05

Bill Bray, a former Los Angeles police officer who served as Michael Jackson's longtime security chief and became a father figure to the onetime child star, has died at the age of 80.

Bray, who began working for the Jackson 5 in the early 1970's and was one of Jackson's closest confidants until his retirement in the mid-1990's, died on Tuesday (November 15), the entertainer's publicist, Raymone K. Bain, told Reuters.

"Michael is very, very, very saddened to learn of the passing of Bill Bray, who was a longtime friend and mentor to him and very trusted adviser to him," Bain said. She said Jackson, who has been living in Bahrain since winning an acquittal on child molestation charges in June, had spoken to members of Bray's family by telephone.

"Bill was a father figure to all of the boys (in the Jackson 5) in the early days and when Michael struck out on his own he became sort of a surrogate father to Michael," said J. Randy Taraborelli, author of the biography 'Michael Jackson: The Magic And The Madness'. "Michael always had this sort of ambivalent relationship with his dad -- bordering on downright anger -- and Bray was the person, back in early days, and up until the early 1990's, who Michael would turn to if he had any kind of personal problem he needed to have solved," Taraborelli said.

Bray was at Jackson's side during the height of his sensational career in the 1980's and when a young boy accused the singer of child molestation in 1993. Jackson settled that case out of court and no charges were ever brought. "Everybody around Michael always liked Bill Bray," Taraborelli said.

"(Film star and Jackson friend) Elizabeth Taylor thought he was one of the greatest people who had ever been in Michael's life. She was very protective of Michael and always knew that Bill was someone he could rely on." Jackson and Bray had a falling out in the mid-1990's, for reasons that were never made public, and Foxnews.com columnist Roger Friedman, who was first to report Bray's death, wrote on the Web site that they had not seen each other in a decade. But Friedman and Taraborelli said that Bray was still on Jackson's payroll at the time of his death.

The explosive definitive account of the Michael Jackson saga, chronicling the King of Pop's battles against child molestation charges from 1993 to 2005, from award-winning journalist Diane Dimond, who broke the story first, over twelve years ago.

Michael Jackson has long captured the world's attention, first as the dynamic lead singer of the Jackson Five, then during his highly successful breakout solo career. But somewhere along the line Jackson transformed himself into something hardly recognizable and was investigated -- not once, but twice -- for crimes we could hardly imagine.

Even now, after his unexpected acquittal on multiple charges of child molestation, there is a sense that the real truth behind the allegations is not known. The character of Michael Jackson -- from his humble beginnings to his rich career and the birth of Neverland Ranch -- is destined for great debate among fans, journalists, historians, and psychiatrists for years to come. In the meantime, there is Diane Dimond, the journalist of record on the Jackson case.

In November 2003, when the Santa Barbara county sheriff's department conducted another raid on Neverland Ranch, Diane Dimond and her camera crews were the only ones there to capture the moment and report the news to the world. Now, for the first time, Dimond recounts the multifaceted details of the Jackson case, utilizing her extensive notes and sources. What she tells us is a shocking story.

Be Careful Who You Love will take you behind the scenes and into the courtroom of one of the most controversial cases of the decade, while giving readers a dramatic glimpse of one reporter's vigilance and unending quest to uncover the truth.

Michael JacksonMichael Jackson Issues Quiver Of Denials Amid Media Flurry. 15-11-'05

Superstar Michael Jackson has not bought an island estate off Bahrain, isn't selling his California haven Neverland Ranch and is not recording songs with his children, his spokeswoman said Tuesday.

The unusual quiver of denials was aimed at setting the record straight amid a flurry of media reports about the entertainer, who has moved to the Gulf state of Bahrain since being exonerated in his child sex trial five months ago.

Jackson's US spokeswoman Raymone K. Bain's comments came amid reports that the star had bought a 1.5 million-dollar property on one of Bahrain's manmade Amwaj Islands that he intended to make his permanent home.

Other media have quoted sources close to the star as saying he was recording songs with his three young children, while some have said he will shed the California home where he was alleged at trial to have abused a 13-year-old boy, allegations, claims dismissed by jurors who acquitted him.

"Contrary to published reports, Michael Jackson has not purchased acreage on Bahrain's Amwaj Islands, his children have not participated on any studio recordings and Mr Jackson has not put Neverland up for sale," Bain said.

Bain also dismissed a bizarre report that the...star had been spotted applying his make-up in a ladies' lavatory in a Dubai shopping mall, saying he had accidentally walked into the wrong bathroom but immediately turned around and walked out.

"Mr Jackson mistakenly entered a ladies room in Dubai, labeled in Arabic, during an outing with friends," Bain said in a statement.

"Upon realizing his mistake, he quickly exited. Upon his exit, he was recognized and a crowd ensued. He had to wait in a nearby bookstore until police arrived to escort him through the crowd," she added.

The spokeswoman, who represented 47-year-old Jackson during his grueling five-month child molestation trial that ended in his acquittal in June, also urged reporters to check with her before filing erroneous reports.

"Please contact this office with regards to any inquiries regarding Mr Jackson in order to clarify any misinformation reported by sources," she said in the terse statement.

The physically- and mentally-exhausted Jackson, who according to his relatives does not intend to live permanently in the United States again, holed up in Bahrain about two weeks after the dramatic end of his trial.

The Jackson family is believed to be close to Gulf kingdom's ruling family and the 1980s pop sensation is reportedly in Bahrain as a guest of the royal family.

The singer has also been wrapping up work on his charity single to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Jackson, who was acquitted, has entitled his ode 'You Are So Beautiful' and hopes to head to the studio soon to record it, according to US website The Scoop.

He tells the president of his fan site, MJNI.com, "I see everything they do, I don't miss anything. I notice and feel everything, from their letters and posters and signs and gifts."

Ladies BathroomJackson 'Caught In Ladies Bathroom'. 13-11-'05

Michael Jackson reportedly avoided police interrogation in Dubai on Saturday (November 12), after accidentally using the ladies bathroom at a shopping mall.

The singer, who spends most of his time in nearby Bahrain, was caught adjusting his make-up in the female washroom of the Ibn Battuta Mall in the Arab Emirate, by a 37-year-old Tunisian teacher known as Latifa M.

According to Arab newspaper Khaleej Times' report of the event, Jackson was wearing a T-shirt and trousers and a traditional Arab women's headscarf.

When Latifa M spotted Jackson, she began taking pictures of him on her mobile phone. He then reportedly chased after her and a mall security guard attempted to take her phone. She refused to hand it over without compensation and called police.

According to Khaleej Times, Colonel Abdul Jalil Al Mehdi, deputy director of the Preventive Security Department of Dubai Police, attempted to resolve the situation with Latifa M and two of Jackson's female companions - while the singer fled in a limousine.

Colonel Mehdi informed Latifa she is not entitled to compensation under local law and convinced her to hand over her phone.
