Raymone K. BainPress Release On Recent Rumours From Raymone K. Bain. 27-06-'07

There have been several news reports regarding Mr. Michael Jackson that are untrue, defamatory and malicious in nature.

Mr. Jackson is not bedridden nor on any type of medication…including painkillers. In fact, Mr. Jackson is doing very well, and conducted a meeting with his advisors yesterday, which included Former Attorney General Benjamin R. Civiletti, and Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr., among others.

There was no press release issued from Mr. Jackson’s organization regarding any European tour plans. Despite reports to the contrary, Mr. Jackson is currently in the studio putting finishing touches on his music.

Mr. Jackson has not "left" Las Vegas nor is he being "evicted" from his residence in Las Vegas. He decided not to exercise the option to purchase the house. Period.

Mr. Jackson does not believe that his brother, Randy Jackson, has stolen monies from him, nor does he believe that Randy, or any of his family members, would ever steal from him. Reports regarding the same were untrue and malicious.

Contrary to published reports, Mr. Jackson is neither losing, nor is he selling his share of the ATV/Sony partnership. Reports regarding the same are ludicrous, without merit, and are being written without sufficient personal financial information to make such an unwarranted pronouncement.

Mr. Jackson is concerned that his assistant, Grace Rwaramba, is constantly being attacked by Fox News’ Roger Friedman. There have been vicious and untrue reports concerning Ms. Rwaramba, who lives a very private life and has done nothing wrong, but is being attacked for her professional relationship and proximity to Mr. Jackson.

While in his entire career, Mr. Jackson has never uttered a disparaging word to any reporter, nor has he ever used or instructed his security to use any force toward any reporter, there are those whose vehement hatred for Mr. Jackson has reached a level where all journalistic integrity has been lost, in order to write reports for which there is no substantiation, are untrue, written to create a frenzy, or used to try and destroy Mr. Jackson’s image. They know who they are; and, this is a sad commentary…a commentary which Mr. Jackson’s attorneys will address.

Michael JacksonMichael Jackson Moving Out Of Vegas Mansion. 26-06-'07

Michael Jackson is on the move again and rumored to be leaving Las Vegas.

The self-proclaimed King of Pop is moving out of a 10-bedroom mansion in suburban Las Vegas, his spokesman, Ramone K. Bain, confirmed Monday.

Bain told Vegas Confidential that Jackson will be out by June 30, when his $1 million lease deal expires.

"He loved the house but decided to allow the lease to expire because of concerns that security wasn't sufficient," said Bain.

As for rumors that he's moving out of Las Vegas, where he had hoped to relaunch his career, she said, "I don't know of any plans to leave." Jackson moved into the house in December after moving his family here from Ireland.

Bain again insisted that Jackson never intended to become an entertainer in Las Vegas.

The home is owned by San Francisco real estate mogul Luke Brugnara, who has plans to purchase a casino here.

A source said Jackson was unable to get financing on the house and wanted to extend his lease but Brugnara wanted to use his house for his many business trips.

Jack Wishna, the Las Vegas dealmaker who arranged Jackson's move to Las Vegas, acknowledged for the first time that he had a headliner deal put together for Jackson but "it went nowhere" when neither Jackson nor his team responded.

Jackson definitely wanted to work in Las Vegas, said Wishna, who put together Donald Trump's twin towers deal in Las Vegas.

"I had him (Jackson) on the telephone when he was in Ireland and he was all excited about working in Las Vegas. It even got down to the detail of a statue of himself that he wanted out front (of the hotel).

"He also came up with the idea of having his own slot machines. I have a signed contract that he wanted us to put together to market his slot machines in Europe and Asia."

LawsuitAnother Lawsuit Ends. 26-03-'07

The lawsuit brought by Ayscough & Marar against Michael for non-payment of legal fees due to them for their work for him on various cases, including the 2005 trial and the case brought against him by by Marc Schaffel, was due to begin in Los Angeles today.

Michael’s lawyers however said that he would agree to a judgement against him to pay the law firm $ 216,000, plus interest.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge James C. Chalfant ruled out several of the defense points his lawyers had hoped to use, because Michael began a deposition to put his evidence to the court on Feb 27th 2006, and was scheduled to complete it on June 12th 2006, but failed to appear. The judge said that he had shown a “willful failure’ to turn over information requested, and had failed to complete his deposition.

Michael McCarthy, for Ayscough and Marar asked for $216,000 for their work, and another $40,000 interest due on that amount. He also asked for another $280,000 for his work on the case.

Judge Chalfant thought that $280,000 was too high, and he would calculate the interest due.

As Michael had countersued the company, alleging, amongst other things, that one of the firm’s attorneys had threatened to release private information about him to the media. Judge Chalfant later dismissed the countersuit.

The Jacksons AuctionJacksons Fighting For Withheld Auction Items. 26-06-'07

A Las Vegas judge has impounded 60 items from an auction house treasure trove of Michael Jackson memorabilia so she can rule whether or not the sellers are acting illegally.

The pop superstar agreed to let a Guernsey's auction take place at the Hard Rock hotel-casino in Las Vegas last month (May) - but now wants family items withdrawn from sale back.

Jackson's sister Janet is also seeking the return of memorabilia items belonging to her. And, on Monday (June 25), Judge Elizabeth Gonzalez ordered 60 items impounded at the Clark County courthouse, so she can rule on ownership.

Gonzalez scheduled a 16 July contempt of court trial after deciding earlier this month that Universal Express Inc had violated previous court orders to withhold some of the more than 1,100 items offered at auction. Guernsey's lawyer, Joe Coppedge, says, "Per the judge's order, we have delivered 35 items claimed by Janet Jackson and 23 items claimed by Michael Jackson... to Las Vegas.

The May auction resulted in sales of over $1 million. The items Jackson withheld following a last minute court battle included a steamer trunk of the pop star's personal effects, photos and sheet music signed by participants in the 'We Are The World' recording and video.

His sister has asked for the return of the original certificate of her marriage to singer James DeBarge, among other personal items .Universal Express lawyer David DeToffol has denied violating Gonzalez's order, and instructed Guernsey's to return the items to Universal Express.

Jimmy JamJimmy Jam Weighs In On Michael Jackson Comeback. 20-06-'07

Michael Jackson has reportedly been hard at work on a brand new album between travels to Dubai, Las Vegas, and spots in Europe. Fans and industry insiders are wondering whether Jackson’s new material will prove to be the kind of sales blockbuster he’s had in the past, like historic multi-platinum releases 'Off The Wall' and 'Bad'.

Producer Jimmy “Jam” Harris, who with partner Terry Lewis worked on all but two of Janet Jackson’s albums, also produced “'Scream',” Janet’'s 1995 duet with Michael. Harris says that Jackson isn’t motivated by breaking sales records when he goes into the studio nowadays. He explained:

"I don’t think a successful comeback should be based on statistics, I think making music will be the thing that makes him happy, you can’t put the cart before the horse. You can’t sell records until you make the songs. And I think for him, making the songs at this point is going to be the fun thing for him. And obviously the reward for him selling records is wonderful. I know for a fact, because I know him pretty well, that the statistics, he already has those, I mean, he’s got records that will never be broken again. And now in this point in his life it’s really about making great music."

There is no word on when Jackson will release a new album, but results of a British poll reported last week shows that the eccentric superstar should command healthy sales figures. PopScores, a monthly quantitative measurement of the emotional connection between artists and consumers, shows that 82 percent of Jackson’s fans are ready to buy the new material he releases.

Michael JacksonJackson Settles Financial Lawsuit With Dash Relative. 18-06-'07

Superstar Michael Jackson has settled a breach-of-contract lawsuit with financial firm Prescient Acquisitions Group over the brokerage fees for the singer's multi-million dollar loans.

The New Jersey-based firm, owned by rap mogul Damon Dash's cousin Darien Dash, accused the 'Thriller' star of owing them $48 million in fees after they allegedly brokered a deal to save the singer from defaulting on $270 million worth of loans, meaning he could continue to hold on to the publishing rights for over 200 Beatles songs.

Prescient claimed they had arranged Jackson's financing to pay off over $270 million in debt. Jackson originally received his loans from the Bank Of America, which then sold them on to the hedge fund Fortress Investment Group. However, Prescient's lawsuit against Jackson was settled on Monday (June 18), shortly before jury selection for the trial was expected to begin.

Darien Dash's lawyer Steven Altman says, "We're very pleased with the settlement, although the terms of it we've agreed to keep confidential at Mr Jackson's request." Jackson's lawyer, L. Londell MCMillan, adds, "The most important thing is that Michael Jackson's publishing catalog remains safe and sound."

Michael Jackson Thanks Jesse Jackson, Ron Burkle For Financial Advice. 17-06-'07

Michael JacksonThe Rev. Jesse Jackson and billionaire Ron Burkle came through with key advice to save singer Michael Jackson from financial disaster when he was fighting child molestation charges, Jackson says in a court deposition.

The Daily News said in Sunday editions it reviewed seven hours of transcripts, finding that the singer believed disloyal advisers took advantage of him financially before a Santa Maria, Calif., jury acquitted him of child molestation in June 2005.

Jackson testified that during his trial he received wise advice during bathroom break cell phone calls with Burkle, the billionaire friend of former President Bill Clinton.

Burkle brought in Jesse Jackson, who has known Michael Jackson since he was a child, to help with the consultations, the newspaper said.

Michael Jackson said in a deposition taken last summer in Paris that the entertainment industry was "full of sharks, charlatans and impostors."

"Because there's a lot of money involved, there's a bunch of schmucks in there," Jackson said. "It's the entertainment world, full of thieves and crooks. That's not new. Everybody knows that."

The deposition was made in preparation for a civil trial expected to begin this week in U.S. District Court in Manhattan. The case against Jackson was brought by a Hackensack, N.J. finance company that claims Jackson cheated the company of $48 million.

Tito and Matt FiddesTito & Jermaine Making Documentary. 09-06-'07

Jermaine and Tito Jackson will be filming a documentary on training to become a black belt with a Swindon martial arts professional, Matt Fiddes. Naturally, locals are hoping that somehow Michael will show up, as well.

The documentary is to be filmed in California, Devon and Swindon, England.

Matt is hopeful that Michael will turn up.

"I'd be really surprised if Michael doesn't come over," Matt said.

"Michael is aware of the programme and I am sure he will show support to his family," said the 27-year-old.

Michael is also a great fan of the late Bruce Lee, which he feels could provide further enticement.

Jermaine and Matt FiddesThe program has a working title of 'So Far, So Good.' It will feature a look at Tito's fitness regime prior to releasing his new album. In this way, it is a reality based show. The film will star members of the family with a surprise celebrity guest and will air in Europe and the United States.

"The camera will be following them through the whole process of training towards a black belt," said Matt.
"They will be doing intensive training.

"It will be a big shock for Tito as he hasn't done much exercise but Jermaine is really fit. I'm training hard myself to get ready for it.

"It is hard to co-ordinate the Jackson family as they are all over the world."

Filming is expected to start in October and Tito will arrive in town in the next couple of months to check out locations.
Tito and Jermaine Jackson both visited Matt's gym in Station Road earlier this year to see how the martial arts school helps youngsters who drop out of school early.

Jermaine also used his visit to launch his national anti-bullying campaign.

Ne-YoNe-Yo: 'Nothing Will Top 'Thriller'. 07-06-'07

Ne-Yo is delighted he is writing the new Michael Jackson album - but admits there is no way his work will outdo the star's classic 'Thriller' album.

Ne-Yo, who has worked with pop's biggest names including Britney Spears, Beyoncé and Whitney Houston, knows he has his work cut out for him as he attempts to oversee Jackson's comeback - but insists there is no point trying to compete with the legendary 1982 record.

He says, "I'm not trying to top 'Thriller'. Anybody trying to top something that's already been done is fighting a losing battle."It was a different industry back then, a different way of thinking and people were easier to impress. Everything in music has been done now, so Michael needs to find his place again."

Auction Results. 07-06-'07

According to several sources, the results of the big Jackson Family Auction were good, but either not so good or just so excellent that they want to have another.

The auctioneer and the seller just can't agree on just how much the Jackson memorabilia brought in during the much hyped auction at the Hard Rock hotel and casino in Las Vegas .Depending on who you listen to, it's either one or two million dollars.

The Jacksons Auction
A replica of The Jackson family's 'Walk of Fame' star, an original piece of artwork of Michael Jackson from 1983 and a rendering of Michael Jackson as pictured on his 1979 album 'Off The Wall,' are on display at The Joint music venue inside the Hard Rock Hotel.

Happily, everyone seems satisfied with the results. So much so that they are going to do it all again! So if you missed out the first time, here is a second opportunity. A second auction will be held for those items that were withheld from sale or offered but not sold during the previous auction.

No date has been set.
