will-i-amWill.i.am Says Jackson Is Still Relevant. 30-10-'07

Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am says any new album put out by the king of pop Michael Jackson will be relevant because his music is universal.

The songwriter and vocalist is working on Jackson’s new album, which is due for release early next year, and says Jackson is in a unique position as an artist.

“Michael Jackson is probably one of the only artists that whenever he puts out a record it will still be relevant,” {tag will.i.am} told reporters in Sydney.

“No matter where you go in the world they’re playing Michael Jackson’s music, and no matter what artists come out they’re going to be doing Michael Jackson moves and emulating what he did.

“So that’s hard when you’re going to make new music with him.”

The hip hop star said people should listen to Jackson’s new music with an open mind.

“We … treat Michael Jackson as a new artist and just make songs with infectious melodies,” he said.

“The songs will speak for themselves.”

But he wouldn’t give away any hints on how the songs sound.

“I am sworn to silence or Michael is known to get pretty violent,” he joked.

Thrill The WorldThriller Dancers All Over The World. 28-10-'07

In 1982 Michael released his fabulous 'Thriller' album. It became the most iconic music of an entire generation, and with sales of 104 million copies, (figure supplied by The Guinness Book Of World Records), it will probably never be surpassed in our lifetime.

This year to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of 'Thriller', yesterday (October 27) people from all over the world are gathering together in large groups, small groups, one and twos, in an attempt to break the record for simultaneously dancing to song. They are dancing in halls, driveways, schools, colleges and pubs wearing zombie and ghoul make-up and everyone concerned are enthusiastic about joining in the fun.

Collections will also be taken up at some events to help the people of California affected by the wildfires there earlier this month, the Red Cross and the Sick Kids Foundation.

Ines Markeljevic is organising this current attempt on the record and has spread the word via her web site, MySpace and YouTube. Last year she earned the Guinness World Record title for 'Largest Thriller Dance' with sixty-two people taking part.

Unfortunately, Guinness does not include a category for a specific simultaneous dance conducted in multiple locations but Markeljevic has received approval of this current attempt from the Record Holders Republic Registry of Official World Records. The group is not affiliated with the Guinness organisation.

What Really Happened Documentary'What Really Happened' Documentary. 26-10-'07

British television station Channel 4’s broadcast of 'Michael Jackson – What Really Happened' was a scurrilous attempt to revile Michael’s character last Wednesday night.

Following the broadcast, the British newspaper The Telegraph, in its own inimitably twisted fashion doubted the reliability of the interviewees.

It contained interviews and statements from Bob Jones, Diane Diamond and Victor Gutierrez. (If you remember, Gutierrez previously was proved to tell untruths about Michael in court and was ordered to pay Michael millions of dollars in compensation, however, he declared himself bankrupt and to our knowledge Michael hasn’t received a penny!)

The programme was compiled and produced by Jacques Peretti, who claimed to be a life-long Michael fan – We find it a little bit odd then that he couldn’t even get simple dates and events in the correct order, let alone the facts right!

Thriller Video Clip‘Thriller’ Is The Ultimate Entertainment. 24-10-'07

In the Arts and Entertainment section of a California Media magazine website, Nicole L. Browner praises the whole concept of Michael’s groundbreaking and best known song and video, 'Thriller'.

Browner says that Halloween is the best time of the year to honour the best music video of all time and adds; “The fourteen minute video directed by John Landis in 1983 reflects flawless choreography, costumes, staging and overall theatrical performance. It redefined what a music video could be – a short film with a story, worthy of both listening and paying attention to.” She also admitted to still being scared by the line; “Something evil’s lurking in the dark”.

The fact that so many people in the world, from prisoners in the Philippines to various dance troupes and even wedding parties, find the video so much fun to re-enact, prove the worldwide appeal of Michael’s masterpiece.

The 'Thriller' album, according to sales reports, is still selling upwards of 60,000 copies every year!

Legal Papers Show Michael Jackson Must Pay Millions Or Risks Losing His Neverland Ranch. 23-10-'07

The singer risks loosing Neverland Ranch in the Santa Ynez Valley if he can't come up with $23 million dollars.

Legal papers show Jackson has less than three months to make the hefty payment or risk losing his property forever.

The singer must pay more than $23 million or lose his Neverland Ranch.

"Even though he's Michael Jackson he's a regular human being, the county's not going to go out of their way to do something special for him or give him any special prevalence because he is who he is," said Wendy Baker, a Santa Barbara Loan Consultant.

According to documents Action News obtained from the Santa Barbara County Clerk-Recorder's Office, Jackson was issued, a notice of default on October 22 for failing to make payments on a loan he made. If Jackson does not make the required payment within 90 days, Baker says the singer could faces major legal repercussions in addition to loosing his home.

Neverland Ranch
Michael Jackson’s Neverland Valley Ranch – 5225 Figueroa Mountain Road, Los Olivos, California.

"He might have some serious tax ramifications absolutely other than having a foreclosure on his credit report and trying to borrow money," she said.

Baker says a Notice of Default is the second step a lender will take before the county can legally foreclose on a home.

"If the borrower still doesn't bring it current five days prior to the trustee sale it will go on auction at the courthouse steps," Baker said.

According to recent reports the singer is living in a rented home in Washington, D.C., while his multi-million dollar estate sits vacant.

Some question if Jackson 's financial troubles will push him to file bankruptcy. Baker says bankruptcy laws have gotten much stricter and she doesn't believe that kind of legal move would be in Jackson's best interests.

In addition to the $23 million, Jackson also owes more than $200,000 in interest. We have copies of all the documents filed so far in the Neverland default.

Los Angeles Judge Orders Michael Jackson To Pay Law Firm $175,000. 15-10-'07

Superior Court Judge James Chalfant
Superior Court Judge James Chalfant.

A judge has ordered Michael Jackson to pay $175,000 in overdue fees to a law firm that sued the pop singer.

Superior Court Judge James Chalfant's order means Jackson's legal bill to the firm, Ayscough and Marar, now totals more than $430,000. The firm sued Jackson in February 2006, claiming he did not pay for services it rendered on his behalf.

The firm said it had obtained court orders to delay discovery in civil cases and kept information from being released during the singer's 2005 child-molestation trial, according to the lawsuit.

In July, Chalfant said Jackson would have to pay the law firm $256,000 for unpaid fees. Jackson's lawyers have appealed that judgment.

Monday's award compensates the law firm for having to hire a lawyer to sue Jackson. The firm had asked for nearly $450,000.

Jackson countersued the firm last year, claiming that one of the firm's lawyers threatened to expose confidential information about him to the media.

Chalfant dismissed Jackson's suit, saying it lacked merit.

The law firm, located in Torrance, also helped defend Jackson against a lawsuit brought by former business associate Marc Schaffel, claiming the singer owed him $1.4 million for past work.

A jury last year awarded Schaffel $900,000, but directed him to pay Jackson $200,000 to satisfy a countersuit alleging Schaffel misappropriated funds.

Michael JacksonMichael Jackson Denies Abandonad Nanny Reports. 10-10-'07

Michael Jackson has hit out at reports he has abandoned his children's nanny Grace Rwaramba as she struggles with lupus disease, branding the claims a "hilarious rumour".

Michael was accused of "acting like a child" in his treatment of his long-serving employee - the woman he was rumoured to have married last month (September) - and left her to deal with her illness alone at her home in California.

A source told the New York Daily News on Tuesday (October 9): "(Rwaramba) is not doing well. She's ill, and she could use his (Jackson's) spiritual, mental and financial support right now."I do believe (Jackson) has affection for Grace, but he acts like a child. ...He could at least give her a call and say, 'How are you doing, Grace? Do you need more doctors?' But it's never like that. It's always taking."

But Jackson's spokeswoman Raymone K. Bain has dismissed the latest rumours. She says, "(It's a) hilarious rumour. I can guarantee she is not very ill. I've spoken to her in the last two hours."
