Frank DiLeo who worked for Michael as his manager during the 'Bad' years and beyond, has been installed as President and CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of ValCom, an entertainment company.

will-i-amWill.i.am Hangs Up On Michael Jackson. 25-09-'07

Rapper will.i.am thought he was the victim of a prank when he got a call from a man claiming to be Michael Jackson - so the Black Eyed Peas star hung up on him.

The 'My Humps' hitmaker - real name William Adams - was so dubious of the authenticity of the phone call, he mocked the 'Thriller' singer and demanded to know the real identity of the caller, before cutting him off.

He says, "(Jackson) called me out of the blue. I'm like: 'How did you get my number?' Pretty MI5. He was like, 'What's up? It's Michael.' And I was like: 'Stop playing around dude. Who is this?' He's like: 'It's Michael, seriously. No one ever believes me.' I'm like: 'Stop playing. I'm hanging up the phone.' Click!"

And the 32-year-old believes anyone else in his position would act in the same way if Jackson ever called them. He adds, "If someone rings you up and says it's Michael, you ain't gonna believe them because it's easy to imitate his voice."

Will.i.am On Working With Michael Jackson: “We’re Taking It Day By Day”. 24-09-'07
will-i-am

Will.i.am is locked away in a New York City recording studio working with Michael Jackson on the Gloved One's highly anticipated comeback album.

Will tells, 'We're taking it day by day, we've finished some songs. I like what I'm doing, I’m really happy with it, but it’snot my project to talk about.

I know how to work with Justin, Fergie and John Legend. I know how to work with thee people, but it probably took four or five days [for me to figure it out with Michael].' He's like, 'Why? What do you mean, "will recalls, doing a disturbingly spot-on imitation of Jackson's falsetto whisper. "Well everything you do I like."

“Because we had that conversation, I could navigate the session and not just be like, ‘Ooooh, damn, it’s Michael, oh my God,'” Will remembers. “You can’t let that affect you in the studio when you’re working with new coming artists,” he adds of working with established greats. “New coming artists can have a great idea but because you just worked with Michael Jackson you’re going to think their idea is not superior. You can’t do that. You have to be able to tame a lion and then forget all about it when you’re chillin’ with cats.”

Marcel MarceauMarcel Marceau Dies At 84. 23-09-'07

Sadly, Marcel Marceau has passed away yesterday (September 22) in Paris. The French mime artist was eight-four years old. The cause of his death is not known at this time.

In his fifty year career he never uttered a word on stage, just used his face and body to convey his meanings, which is a remarkable!

When Michael was to do the 'One Night Only' show in New York some years ago, Marcel was on stage rehearsing with him when Michael collapsed and was taken to hospital. Sadly, due to this, we never got the opportunity to see Marcel Marceau and Michael work together.

Michael JacksonUpdate Of The New Album. 19-09-'07

According to the Sun-Times, Michael Jackson has been meeting with several insiders in the music industry regarding a major, new album and an international concert tour promotion. It is cited possibly for the end of 2008 or early 2009.

The reporter at the Sun-Times says that a "long-time Jackson associate" told him "This is something Michael is carefully planning. I think the album is going to be amazing. From what I've heard, it will be as big as 'Thriller' -- and yet will take his music in a new direction to appeal to new, younger fans -- but will still have those Michael touches his traditional fans love."

There is some speculation that Janet and some of the Jackson brothers would possibly be involved on a number of tracks. "Can you imagine what a sensation it would be if Michael and Janet toured together," said the source, teasingly. "That is something that's being discussed."

You Are Not Alone CD Single CoverMichael Jackson Plagarized Hit Tune, Belgian Court Rules. 12-09-'07

A Brussels court has ruled that Michael Jackson's 1995 hit 'You Are Not Alone' is largely similar to a song penned by Belgian twins two years previously, local media reported Tuesday (Septemer 11).

All the authorial rights of the Jackson number one hit, written by Robert Kelly, alias US singer-songwriter R. Kelly, therefore are switched to the brothers according to the court ruling handed down last week.

The twin composers have fought for 12 years to gain recognition for their work, however the judgment is only applicable in Belgium and getting hold of royalties may be no simple task.

'You Are Not Alone' was released in August 1995, the second single off the multi-platinum Jackson album 'HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I'.

It became the first-ever single to debut at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

On their website the Belgian composer-brothers said that the Belgian rights society SABAM had confirmed that "the most important and largest part" of the Jackson hit is "identical" to the Van Passels' work.

Lawyer for the brothers Emmanuel Van Melkebelke said: "We are very happy. Considering the many resemblances, 'You Are Not Alone' is indeed clearly based upon my client's work.

"Further more, R. Kelly failed to produce any evidence that 'You Are Not Alone' was his own creation and not a mere adaptation of my clients' work.

Publicists and the legal representative of R. Kelly, whose real name is Robert Kelly, could not be reached for comment.

Last night’s (September 9) MTV Video Music Awards belonged to 18-year-old Chris Brown, whose electrifying performance and homage to Michael Jackson kick started the show into high gear. He performed 'Billie Jean'.

One person who took notice of Brown’s dazzling display was none other than the King of Pop himself, who issued this exclusive statement to Access Hollywood:

Justin Timberlake, a big winner at last night’s awards, was also impressed by Brown’s dynamic energy:

“Nobody likes to be reminded that they’re getting older. And whatever Chris Brown just did reminded me of how I'’m getting older,” said the 28-year-old Timberlake on the broadcast. “Cause damn. It’s just exciting to see”.
