Lewis Wilton Felder Bass Line Of The Song 'I Want You Back' Died At 75 Years. 29-09-'15

Lewis Wilton FelderLewis Wilton Felder, saxophonist and bassist best known for being the founder of jazz group The Crusaders died Sunday, September 27 at the age of 75 years. This native of the city of Houston in Texas permanently marked the history of music with his unavoidable bass line of the song 'I Want You Back' but Jackson 5 'ABC' or 'The Love You Save' the first three number 1 of the career of Michael Jackson and his brothers.

He was born in Houston, Texas in 1940. Felder, Wayne Henderson, Joe Sample, and Stix Hooper founded the group while in high school in Houston. The Jazz Crusaders evolved from a straight-ahead jazz combo into a pioneering jazz-rock fusion group, with a definite soul music influence. Felder worked with the original group for over thirty years, and continued to work in its later versions, which often featured other founding members.

Wilton Felder’s name won’t often get mentioned with the likes of Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson and the Jackson Five, or Billy Joel but these three superstars know Wilton’s name well. One of the greatest saxophone players and bassist's of the 70’s and 80’s left his mark on music history with some of the biggest hits of the decade. Remember that incredible bass line in 'I Want You Back'. It looked like Jermaine Jackson was playing, but it was studio musician, Wilton Felder. How about that nasty funk on Marvin’s 'Let’s Get It On' and 'I Want You' All done by Wilton Felder.

Wade Robson Wins Legal Victory In Michael Jackson Sex Abuse Suit. 28-09-'15

Wade RobsonMichael Jackson‘s alleged sex abuse victim, Wade Robson, has won a legal victory in his lawsuit against the late singer’s companies.

A judge dismissed Robson’s X-rated molestation claims against the singer’s estate back in May, but he subsequently filed an amended complaint against Jackson’s production companies over similar claims of rape.

Lawyers for Jackson’s estate asked Judge Mitchell Beckloff to dismiss the claim against the companies because the statute of limitations had expired.

But in a written ruling, Judge Mitchell Beckloff ruled in favor of Robson. He wrote, “Plaintiff Wade Robson has alleged sufficient facts of a business environment connection between him and defendants. Certainly, there are allegations Michael Jackson sexually abused plaintiff prior to any business relationship.”

“Defendants arranged for Wade Robson and plaintiff’s mother’s immigration to the United States. Plaintiff’s residency in the United States and involvement with Michael Jackson was facilitated and promoted by defendants,” the documents state. “Defendants employed plaintiff and his mother to promote the sexual abuse. The demurrer on the issue of statute of limitations is overruled on the grounds set forth above.”

Now, the claim can proceed to summary judgment, but Robson still has numerous legal hurdles to overcome before the case would even proceed to trial.

Three Freddie Mercury & Michael Jackson Duets Releasing This Fall. 28-09-'15

That's right, Freddie Mercury of Queen and the King of Pop Michael Jackson have three duets being released later in Fall of 2015.

All three songs were recorded in Jackson's home studio in Encino, CA back in 1983 when both stars were at the pinnacle of their game. Queen just released their 'Hot Spice' album the year before, and Jackson was still king of the world after releasing his 'Thriller' album from the previous year as well.

The three duets were meant to be released on a full separate album consisting of duets between the two stars, however the project was cut short after three songs due both of their the complex schedules. Not to mention that their relationship turned sour because Michael Jackson insisted on bringing his pet llama into the studio.

Freddie Mercury was very put off by Jackson's behavior. According to Queen's former manager Jim Beach with the Times of London, Mercury called him saying, "Can you get over here? You've got to get me out of here, I'm recording with a llama." Jackson also had some complaints with Mercury's behavior. According to the Hollywood Reporter, "Mercury subsequently fell out with Jackson because the U.S. star objected to Mercury taking too much cocaine in his living room."

Michael and Freddie

The three recorded songs that were recorded before the project was scrapped, are named 'State Of Shock,' 'Victory,' and 'There Must Be More To Life Than This.'

How Michael Jackson’s Nephews Tried To Help Him Live A Normal Life. 26-09-'15

To the tabloid-reading public, Michael Jackson’s disguises were a sign of his eccentricity — much like his extensive plastic surgery and childlike home at Neverland Ranch.

To the nephews that grew up down the street from their famous uncle, though, the masquerade was necessary for a man trying to live a normal life.

Taj, Taryll and TJ — the sons of Michael’s brother Tito — recall one time when Michael wanted to go to a mall, but was afraid of being recognized. So the boys, then teenagers, decided to create their own camouflage for the King of Pop.

“My brothers and I put him in all sorts of crazy gear — baseball hats, everything that was so un-Michael Jackson,” TJ, 34, tells The Post. “When we got there, we put him in a wheelchair even.”

“It worked maybe for about eight minutes,” Taryll, 39, adds. “He wanted to experience what everyone else was experiencing, but he was kind of in a cage in that way.”

The Jackson name comes with its own set of pressures for the siblings, who are letting reality cameras into their world with their new Lifetime series “The Jacksons: Next Generation” — premiering Friday at 10 p.m. — in an attempt to rehab their family’s public image.

“In today’s world . . . everyone wants to know everything about you. If you don’t open up, they think you’re hiding something,” Taj, 41, says. “We wanted to let down the walls [and] let people see who we really are and . . . how we’re a loving family.”

The six-episode series will explore the more quotidian issues of their lives — TJ’s son’s driving lessons and his daughter’s first day of school; Taryll’s weight struggles — as well as ones decidedly more “Jackson”: Dealing with the parole board in regards to the murderer of their mother, Dee Dee, who was killed in 1994, and confronting a woman who makes a living by claiming to be their sister.

The Jacksons: Next Generation

The Jacksons: Next Generation, about Tito Jackson’s three sons, T.J., Taryll and Taj, as the navigate their professional and personal lives. Michael Jackson’s kids, Prince, Paris and Blanket.

Also addressed is the status of the siblings’ music group 3T, which sold 3 million copies of its 1995 debut album. Over the past few years, the band has only performed sporadically.

“The [Jackson] name helps [in music] because people are interested. You do have that door open in the beginning,” Taj says. “But at the same time . . . [there’s] a certain level of music that people expect, and there’s also people rooting for you to fail.”

The brothers saw that same cynicism in the child sexual abuse allegations against Michael and his ensuing public vilification. Even six years after their uncle’s death, Taj says the restoration of his legacy is “never going to be completely done.”

“In this age of the Internet, lies can keep circulating until they’re addressed,” he says. “People in the public were shocked at the verdict, but . . . if you read the transcripts, there’s nothing shocking about it.

“It’s now leading people to it — if they want to see it — and saying, ‘Hey look, the evidence has always been there that my uncle was innocent and never did anything.’”

Reggie Rockstone Did The Moonwalk Before Michael Jackson Learnt It. 24-09-'15

Reggie RockstoneGhanaian Hiplife artiste, Reggie Rockstone, has refuted history that records Michael Jackson as the originator of the moonwalk. The legend made pop history on March 25, 1983 when he gave an enthusiastic public their first taste of his signature moonwalk in honor of Motown Records’ 25th birthday.

But Rockstone said before Jackson made that debut, he did that as a student at the Achimota School. “I was the first person to do the moonwalk. Even before Michael Jackson first did it,” Rockstone told Bola Ray on Starr Chat, Wednesday (September 23).

He, however, admitted he did not invent it. “The reason that this happened was not because I was a genius. I used to watch Soul Train Jeffrey Daniel and that’s how I learnt it.” “I have video prove of Jeff Daniel giving me props on the dance. He came to Ghana and was at my club and he said so himself,” a proud Rockson said. Jackson’s sister, LaToya, also identified the former Soul Train and Solid Gold dancer, as her brother’s primary tutor in this endeavor. Daniel himself is on record to have said Michael Jackson made it popular.

The 'Angry Birds' Movie Trailer, Set To Michael Jackson's 'Bad'. 23-09-'15

Six years and 3 billion downloads (completely serious) later, the mobile time-killer turned worldwide franchise known as Angry Birds is getting Hollywood-ed. Today's our first look at exactly how much the movie will resemble the game, and we're impressed. The requisite narrativizing is in place: Why are the birds so mad? How do their specific demolition abilities translate to personality traits? When did the green pigs come into the picture, and how'd they become the natural enemy to all irate avian's?Watch the Angry Birds trailer below. It lands in theaters in May 2016.

The roll call of voice actors is unreal: Maya Rudolph, Frozen's Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Bill Hader, Keegan-Michael Key, Tony Hale, Kate McKinnon and Jason Sudeikis. Even in an age where Pixar and DreamWorks score top-notch talent every time around, this one seems extra flashy.

Best of all is the evidence that this won't be a just-because adaptation, but will actually retain the impact-heavy, slingshot-happy mechanics that made Angry Birds great in the first place. And if Michael Jackson is soundtracking the trailer, we can probably hope for solid tuneage in the actual movie.

Michael Jackson’s “Wonderland” Ranch To Be Auctioned. 22-09-'15

Michael Jackson called it “Wonderland” and his daughter said it was “Candyland.” This 10-acre compound in a Las Vegas neighborhood of casino owners, entertainers and royalty (Wayne Newton lives nearby and the Sultan of Brunei was once a neighbor) was designed to be a secure and safe haven for a family, a memorable experience for their guests and a place to safely enjoy their expensive hobbies. This was its appeal to Michael Jackson, who had sights on a Las Vegas residency show and, according to Las Vegas media, had toured the home several times. Jackson was planning on making an offer on the home when he returned from his 'This Is It' London residency show scheduled to run through early 2010. However, Michael died just three weeks before the start of the tour.

Completed in 1994 for Nevada casino and resort developer Gary Primm, the compound was designed for luxury, but security was Mr Primm’s biggest concern. Primm is a big-game hunter and car collector including the “Bonnie and Clyde Death Car” that he has displayed at several of his casinos. The home was completed soon after Las Vegas casino developer Steve Wynn’s daughter, Kevyn, was kidnapped from the kitchen of their Las Vegas home. Primm was worried about the safety of his two children and designed the home with a 10-foot wall surrounding the property and three gates that can be controlled by the owner, eliminating the need for round-the-clock guards. Throughout are security tunnels, bulletproof doors, secret rooms with entries disguised as walls or cabinets, and a panic room with an oxygen supply and separate underground phone lines.

Wonderland Ranch

The Primm Ranch on a rare 10 acres, located at 7000 Tomiyasu Lane, an exclusive enclave and celebrity-studded street just five minutes from the Las Vegas Strip.. This gated and secluded compound is truly the stuff of legends.

The Primm Ranch includes a main estate house with 15,000 square feet, a guest villa, grotto villa, staff quarters, horse trainer quarters, equestrian barn, arena, pens and pastures, a dog villa, grotto pool with spa, waterfall and slide, all surrounded by lush lawns and palms. There is also a garage/car showroom that will house 20 cars with its own gas station for diesel and unleaded fuels, a car wash with deionized water and mechanic’s lift. With a total living area of over 21,000 square feet, there are 10 bedrooms and 19 baths. Highlights include a beauty salon, trophy room with recorded animal sounds, driving range, 5,000-bottle wine cellar, theater, casino room, gym and sauna. The grounds include a greenhouse, outdoor kitchen adjacent to the pool with a bar and guest suite accessed under the waterfall and a tennis court. Equestrian facilities include stalls for ten horses with training and riding areas. According to the listing agent, Jackson planned on converting the home’s underground shooting range into a recording studio.

An ideal estate for a high profile family, whether a high roller, top-name entertainer or anyone of means who demands luxury in a secure environment and enjoys living in or often visiting the internationally renowned resort city of Las Vegas. The largest city in the tax-free haven state of Nevada, also known as “The Entertainment Capital of the World,” it is well-known for its plethora of world-class entertainment, dining, gambling and cultural experiences.

Currently listed at $14.5 million, Primm Ranch, Michael Jackson’s choice for a secure luxury estate with every amenity for raising his children and entertaining guests, will go up for auction on October 10th with no reserve.

DJ ExpoL.A.'s DJ Expo On The Impact Of Michael Jackson. 20-09-'15

Starting his DJ education at 12-years-old by watching DMC competition videos and seeing the talents of renowned turntablists like Mix Master Mike, Qbert, and the Beat Junkies, DJ Expo spent a whole year studying the culture before actually ever touching a pair of turntables. Lucky for him at the age of 13, his father decided to bless him with his own DJ setup. From there, he began a regimen of countless hours of practice, starting from scratching and eventually factoring in mixing, beat-juggling, and other tricks.

When did you start Down with the King?

Down With The King started last year. I decided to start doing this event in SF after seeing the amazing response received from the Michael Jackson birthday tributes we’ve done at Motown On Mondays in L.A. every year. The first year of Down With The King received a lot of love so we’ve made it an annual event now.

What MJ song has had the biggest impact on your life?

'Bad.' Not my favorite song of his but it defines my generation. I was born just a year before the Bad album was released and the title cut is the earliest memory I have of MJ’s music. I was of course familiar with the 'Thriller' album too, but 'Bad' had a much larger impact on me growing up. I partially blame that on watching 'Moonwalker' all the time at my babysitter’s house when I was a little kid. Something about the energy and groove of 'Bad' always makes you want to sing and dance along to it.

Why do you think his songs have a timeless quality?

Michael created original music and his unique sound can never be replaced. His music saw no boundaries of age, race, gender, religion, etc. Michael has inspired and influenced a huge amount of the music released over the past few decades including music today from Justin Timberlake and Pharrell to Kendrick Lamar and Jay Z. Children that have never experienced MJ's music love it when they hear it. We still hear much of his music played on radio, TV, movies and more today. He is the first artist to have a hit record in five different decades. Michael spent his entire life devoted to music and he is loved across the globe for the beautiful music he brought to the world.

Lastly, what’s your favorite rework/remix of an MJ song?

I’d have to say that J Dilla’s beat for Q-Tip’s “Move,” which sampled from Jackson 5 'Dancing Machine.' is one of my favorite reworks of an MJ song. Can’t even explain why except for the way Dilla chopped up that song. I also really enjoy the re-edit that Reflex did of Jackson 5 'ABC', which is a lot more DJ friendly version of the song.

Wesley Snipes Talks Being Michael Jackson's Bodyguard For 'Bad' Video. 18-09-'15

Wesley_Snipes1esMichael Jackson went epic with his video for 1987's 'Bad' recruiting Martin Scorsese to direct a lengthy short film about urban gangs with choreography nods to West Side Story. Among the sprawling cast was a young Wesley Snipes, who played "Mini Max" – and while the actor went on to higher-profile work in films like 1991's New Jack City, his brush with the King of Pop remains a formidable notch on his resume. Snipes reflected on the experience Thursday (September 17) on The Tonight Show, recalling.

"I auditioned for Scorsese and Q – Quincy Jones – and they selected me out of, I don't know, maybe hundreds of guys who auditioned," Snipes says in the clip. After Fallon asks about his impressions of Jackson, Snipes tells the hilarious story – earning uproarious laughs from Questlove and the Roots.

"The great Michael: the inspiration, the muse," he says. "Michael was very interesting – very, very interesting. He actually was a little nervous filming in Harlem because we filmed some of the 'Bad' video there in Harlem ... He was a little nervous because the fans were a little ambivalent with him. Some of them loved him. Some of them hated him. So you hear them literally yelling out, 'Michael Jackson! We love you! Oh my God – I want to have your baby.' And you have other people going, 'You ain't bleep! Michael Jackson, you ain't never coming back to the 'hood! Michael Jackson, what you do for us?'

"So Michael turned to me and was like, 'Are you scared?'" he continues. "I was like, 'Yo, Mike, what are you talking about?' 'Are you scared? Really, are you scared?' I was like, 'No, Mike, this is Harlem, baby! This is where we grew up. They love you. Really, you're scared?' He was like, 'A little.'"

Snipes jokes that he was "demoted" from actor to "bodyguard." But he says the unorthodox gig was worth it: "I'd do it again any time," he says. "He was such an inspiration, such a wonderful talent."

Jermaine told the crowd: ''Thanks to our little brother Randy and, of course our brother who's here just in spirit, Michael.''

The Jackson brothers played a string of hits including 'I'll Be There', 'Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground)', 'ABC' and 'I Want You Back'. They also played Michael's hit song 'Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' from his hit album 'Thriller'.

Ana Matronic: 'Michael Jackson Thought He Was Immortal'. 12-09-'15

Scissor Sisters singer Ana Matronic found it disturbing that Michael Jackson appeared to believe he would live forever.
The Scissor Sisters singer remembers watching a documentary about the singer - who died of acute Propofol intoxication in June 2009 - where he was asked to contemplate death and seemed baffled by the thought there would come a day when he'd no longer be alive.

She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: ''There is a documentary from years ago and there is one part that I was really shocked by and it wasn't anything that other people were on to."

''There was moment were they asked him, there are looking at a sarcophagus and I think it was in Michael's home; and they are asking do you know where this comes from and he explained it and he said he was interested in Egypt and stuff - and then they asked if that is what he would like to do when he dies. Michael looked at the interviewer like he had two heads; like he had never ever considered dying."

''That for me was sort of the most telling and disconcerting moment of that documentary. It was like he thought he would live forever.''

Ana Matronic

Ana Lynch, known by her stage name Ana Matronic, is an American singer, best known as the female lead singer for Scissor Sisters.

The 41-year-old star - who has recently released a book, 'Robot Takeover: 100 Iconic Robots of Myth, Popular Culture & Real Life', through publishers Cassell Illustrated - thinks Michael struggled because he was ''robbed'' of his childhood and was unable to ''express himself'' properly.

She added: ''I don't want to say that I feel pity for him or that I feel sorry for him but I do see him as someone who's childhood had been robbed from him."

''He was somebody who had to work from the time he was a baby or you know a very, very young child and his incredibly obvious talent led to his being worked like an adult and I think that he was someone who was not allowed to express himself.''
