Shock Claim Michael Jackson Never Legally Married To Elvis' Daughter? 09-06-'19

Michael has Married Lisa Marie Presley (26-05-1994)Lisa Marie-Presley, now 51, was wed to the singer between 1994 and 1996 as he battled a sexual abuse allegation.

The pair reportedly tied the knot on the Dominican Republic in a service conducted by magistrate Hugo Alvarez.

However, one investigator is questioning whether their marriage was legitimate.

The pair reportedly arrived in the northern city of La Vega on the morning of May 26 for the ceremony, and then drove back to the Casa de Campo resort.

However, rental car documents showed their van had only travelled a distance of 98 miles – less than a third of the distance between the two destinations.

One theory states the couple actually got married in the Casa de Campo – outside of magistrate Alvarez’s jurisdiction.

A photo from the supposed ceremony bears a striking resemblance to Jackson’s hotel digs.

If true, this would mean Alvarez was not technically allowed to marry the couple and their union would not have been legally recognised.

Investigator Patrick Stinson told NBC documentary A Current Affair: “Here’s the couple and magistrate Alvarez, carefully study the room. It’s identical to this room at Casa de Campo.

“From the window shutters to the table, from the dark moulding to the ceramic vase. It’s also over 200km (124 miles) outside the jurisdiction of magistrate Alvarez.

“200km away from where even he admits he can legally perform a marriage.”

There is no suggestion that Lisa was aware of the marriage implications.

Another researcher alleges that the pair never had sex during their short-lived relationship.

Investigator Diane Dimond spent years probing the King of Pop and his allegations of sexual abuse of children.

She said: “He could not wait to have the grand-children of the King of Pop.

“I think in the beginning, Lisa thought there was a possibility.

“But they never actually slept together and I think somewhere along the line she realised – if we’re not sleeping together, I don’t want to have children with him.”

However, Lisa insists they had wild sex – and that Jackson sang and shrieked before he orgasmed.

Michael Jackson’s Brothers Insist 'Leaving Neverland' Doesn’t Present Any Evidence’ But Have Never Watched It. 07-06-'19

Marlon and JackieMichael Jackson’s brothers Marlon and Jackie have revealed how they’re yet to see the controversial 'Leaving Neverland' documentary.

The documentary, directed by Dan Reed, sees James Safechuck and Wade Robson claim they were victims of sexual abuse by the late popstar, with the Jackson estate adamantly denying the alleged abuse ever took place.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain to mark the 50th anniversary of The Jacksons, Michael’s brothers Marlon and Jackie were quizzed about their reaction to the documentary.

‘No I have not seen it,’ Marlon said. ‘But I’m not interested in seeing something where someone’s telling a story that do not present any evidence or facts about anything.

‘These type of things always come up, this isn’t the first time. When you’re in this business they take shots at you and people try to make money off you. This is one of those moments.

‘Yes it’s been difficult for us but we get through it. We manage to get through it through the blessings of the lord who is in control of everything, so I’m not worried.’ The film’s director has previously addressed criticisms of the film, claiming he was thorough in his investigations of the pair’s accounts.

‘I didn’t approach this in a naïve way,’ Reed said. ‘I listened very carefully to days and days and days of interviews, then we went and did about 18 months of research and checked everything we could and tried to poke holes in Wade and James’ accounts.

‘I interviewed the police investigators and the sheriff’s department investigators who were part of looking into Michael Jackson’s background, and none of them had any doubts at all about his guilt.’

HBO Slams Michael Jackson's Estate Over 'Fantasy' $100 Million Lawsuit. 06-06-'19

HBOHBO has slammed Michael Jackson’s estate for suing the network over its controversial documentary 'Leaving Neverland', describing its $100 million damages claim as “mere fantasy”.

According to The Blast, the broadcaster condemned the estate’s continued push for the lawsuit to be settled in private court. Additionally, it argued that it did not breach the non-disparaging clause set out in a 1992 contract made with Jackson prior to the airing of one of his tour specials, as the new documentary dictates any legal issues be settled in public.

HBO went on to add that the concert in question has nothing to do with the subject at the centre of 'Leaving Neverland' and is only mentioned throughout it, therefore its clause does not apply.

It concluded by explaining that the documentary was released 25 years after the former agreement was terminated and “long past any reasonable period of time thereafter.”

Directed by Dan Reed, 'Leaving Neverland' sees dancer Wade Robson and actor James Safechuck look back on their lives as they claim Jackson groomed and sexually abused them as children.

Talking to NME about the film, Reed previously accused Jackson’s estate of clouding people’s judgment when it comes to the Billie Jean hitmaker.

He said: “The Michael Jackson estate – the Michael Jackson machine – pumps out a lot of propaganda to the effect that he was just a childlike lover of humanity and a saviour of children, which is complete bilge.

“['Leaving Neverland'] is not a platform for the Jackson estate to launch their campaign of counter-information. That’s not what we provide. In this documentary, people make very serious allegations about Michael Jackson. It’s not a piece of showbiz shim-sham.”

Just last month, Jackson’s estate detailed how its own investigation would exonerate the singer-songwriter and allow his fans to say that they love his music again.

Michael Jackson’s Legacy Lives On Through Support Of HBCU Students. 05-06-'19

A few weeks ago billionaire Robert F. Smith put his money where his mouth is as he pledged to pay off the college debt of the entire 2019 Morehouse College graduating class. But another wealthy Black man has also supported almost 250 college students, keeping them from having any college debt in the first place.

It may surprise you to know that that man is the late Michael Jackson and that he’s still supporting college students ten years after his untimely death.

Over the past 20 years, 248 college students attending 38 of the nation’s historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) have participated in the UNCF/Michael Jackson Scholarship Program.

“For 75 years, UNCF has been committed to supporting HBCUs and to providing education for all who wish to get it, and Michael Jackson’s support has lasted nearly half of this organization’s very existence,” said UNCF President and CEO Dr. Michael Lomax.

“We are grateful to Michael Jackson for his long-term investment in helping change the life trajectory of close to 250 students at 38 UNCF-member HBCUs, such as Shaw University, Bennett College, and Bethune Cookman University, in need of a college education that will continue to pay dividends for years to come.”

In March 1988, UNCF recognized Jackson’s extraordinary generosity and commitment to helping HBCU college students with financial assistance by honoring him with the UNCF Frederick D. Patterson Award, the organization’s highest honor.

“An education opens a person’s mind to the entire world,” Jackson said during his acceptance remarks at the awards ceremony. “There is nothing more important than making sure everyone has the opportunity for an education.”

Michael Jackson Scholars attending UNCF-member HBCUs and are pursuing degrees in a range of majors, including Communications, Education, Fashion Design, History, Music, Performing Arts, Psychology, and Political Science. Scholars are helped with tuition, room and board, books, or with repaying federal student loans.

United Negro College Fund (10-03-1988)Michael Jackson is honoured by the United Negro College Fund as one of their highest contributors, he received an honorary doctor of Humane Letters degree from the president of Fisk University, Henry Ponder, at the 44th Annual United Negro College Fund Awards held at the Sheraton Hotel, NY.

“The Michael Jackson Scholarship was very crucial to my collegiate experience at Spelman College and truly a blessing my last semester,” said Kelsey Kenniel, operations engineer for Education Pioneers in Memphis.

“The $5,000 award helped to defray school tuition and related expenses. My plan was to graduate a semester early to cut down on costs for me and my family, and the scholarship was one of the catalysts that helped propel that goal forward.”

Jackson, recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records for “Most Charities Supported by a Pop Star” status as of 2000, was inspired to support college students by his deep belief in the importance of higher education. UNCF became one of the 39 charities Jackson supported during his lifetime when he gave $1.5 million in 1986 to establish a scholarship endowment.

When Jackson performed at Madison Square Garden in 1988, the first of his three concerts was a benefit for UNCF. He donated the proceeds from his performance in the amount of $600,000 to UNCF, making him one of the organization’s largest African-American donors at the time.

“My dream was to attend Spelman and be surrounded by women who look like me and who could hold my hand and challenge me to see that I could in fact be a ‘choice to change the world’, said Kenniel.

“It is admirable that Michael Jackson is still making an impact even after his passing. His music and legacy still live on and are impacting the educational trajectories of individuals like me. I am forever grateful for the MJ Scholarship. It changed the entire course of my life and legacy.”

Jackson EventEuropean Jackson Event 2019 Cancelled. 04-06-'19

Dear MJ Family,

It is with a heavy heart that we have this announcement to make. Sadly, the European Jackson Event of August 24 is cancelled. Due to disappointing ticket sales and a lack of sponsors, we were faced with an incredible task in providing you with a good show. Adding to that, the severe unwillingness to cooperate by several people and organisations, has left us with no other option than to cancel the event.

After 18 years of organising Jackson Events, the curtain falls for the EJE. We like to thank everyone who believed in us and who joined us in the past. Without your presence, the European Jackson Events wouldn’t have been the same.

The reason we have decided to cancel the event so far in advance (as opposed to just a few weeks before August 24) is because we thought it only fair to give notice to our visitors from overseas early on. This way, they still have time and opportunity to cancel their travel plans and won’t be faced with high costs.

Everyone who has already bought a ticket to the event will be reimbursed in the next 5 days. Of course, your payment (ticket price + fees) will be 100% refunded to you.

Thank you again and best wishes,
The EJE team

Discovery Buys ‘Killing Michael Jackson’ Documentary For Its European Networks. 03-06-'19

Michael Jackson'Killing Michael Jackson', a one-off documentary that explores the circumstances around the death of the global pop icon, has been picked up by Discovery for its channels in international territories including the U.K. and Germany.

Discovery Networks will also run the one-hour documentary on its channels in Italy and the Nordics. In the U.K. it will play on its Quest Red free-to-air service. Jackson fans mounted a high-profile campaign and protested outside British broadcaster Channel 4’s headquarters in March ahead of its broadcast of 'Leaving Neverland', the controversial documentary about alleged sexual abuse by the late pop superstar.

'Killing Michael Jackson' features three U.S. detectives – Orlando Martinez, Dan Myers, and Scott Smith – who were part of the original investigation into the singer’s death in 2009. Doctor Conrad Murray, who was jailed for the involuntary manslaughter of Jackson, also features.

The documentary comes from U.K. indie producer Zig Zag. The producers said the detectives will re-examine Jackson’s death by reopening their official Los Angeles Police Department case files 10 years on, and promised new revelations and previously unseen archive footage.

Other international buyers of 'Killing Michael Jackson' include Polsat Television in Poland, TVNZ in New Zealand, and Medialaan in Belgium.

“This film focuses on the intriguing circumstances surrounding Michael Jackson’s death, giving audiences a fascinating insight into the final moments of the pop star’s life and the criminal process that led to the arrest and conviction of Dr. Conrad Murray,” said Matt Graff, managing director of Zig Zag Productions.
