'Leaving Neverland' Does Not Call Witnesses. 04-03-'19

Brad Sundberg, who has worked for Michael Jackson for a long time, posted a message yesterday (March 3) on his personal Facebook page. While he does not often write things about Michael Jackson on this page, he wanted to share his thoughts on the documentary 'Leaving Neverland', as the media and Oprah Winfrey launch their destructive one-way devices, because he knows that better days are coming.

A special word for my friends who do not consider themselves fans of Michael Jackson and who might be curious to know if his name will be back in the news.

Many of you know that I spent 18 years of my life working with this guy in the studio, at home, during movie shoots, and so on.

Over the past seven years, I have organized approximately 170 Michael's work style, composition, recording and directing events, conferences and seminars, in front of nearly 6,000 guests in 17 countries.

I guess in a slightly unexpected way, Michael continues to be part of my life, even a decade after his death.

HBO has unfortunately decided to broadcast a film this weekend with terrible allegations, from two men who claim to have been mistreated by Michael. It is even claimed that it happened in a studio where I was present. It goes without saying that the filmmakers did not ask to speak to me - nor to any of the teams of that time.

I'm not here to convince you of Michael's innocence or to beg you not to watch the movie. I spare you long paragraphs about Make-A-Wish kids and burn victims who were regular guests at Neverland. Or the bad tweets that were sent to me last week.

As a friend, I just want you to know this: If there was a cell in my body that somehow believed that Michael could cause irreparable harm to a child, I will immediately end at my seminars and will place me side by side with these two men. This is not the case.

Michael is a media joke, I understand.
He had a big wheel in his garden and was friends with a chimpanzee.
He loved Disney, movies and popcorn with spicy sauce.

He was also good for me and my family.
He was sweet, generous and remarkably talented.
He had an unusual moral code in the music industry, and I think that's one of the reasons he gets along so well with me.

I was not with him 24/7.
I can not pretend to know his heart any more than I can do with any of you, my friends.

I feel the weight - it's an easy target, back then and now.

But I support him, after my countless hours in the studio, at home, in trailers, video shoots and behind the scenes.

I testified on his behalf in a federal court - and I will do it tomorrow.

I support him not because he was famous, but because he was my friend.

During these 18 years, there has never been a single moment when I "looked away". Not even once.

During these 18 years, I have never seen, heard or even felt a hint of something quite inappropriate. Nothing.

If I thought that he - or whoever - was harming a child, I would have been the first to call the police.

Thank you for taking the time to hear my point of view. I will be happy to discuss in more detail if you are interested, but my seminars will continue as planned and I am proud and grateful for the friendship I had with him.

Thanks again -

The JacksonsDefending Neverland: Statement From The Jacksons. 04-03-'19

From Jackie Jackson, Tito Jackson, Jermaine Jackson and Marlon Jackson.

"This Wednesday (March 6) and Thursday (March 7) Channel 4 is launching an attack on our brother Michael. He is not here to defend himself, so we feel compelled to do it for him.

Michael is innocent of these baseless allegations of child abuse, sexual misconduct and paedophilia. The only thing that Michael was ever guilty of was being naïve to what the outside world may think of those beautiful days that our families and friends all enjoyed at the Neverland Ranch.

This film rehashes accusations against Michael that have already been shot down in a court of law.

Michael loved his family, his friends and lived life to the fullest before it was so cruelly taken away. Now that life of kindness and generosity is being tainted.

We are told that the film carefully curates selected extracts from past interviews Michael did in life, strategically edited to answer allegations made after his death - answers to questions that were never in fact put to Michael. This is not a neutral search for the truth, but a kangaroo court-like film made with a clear agenda to sensationally besmirch the good name of Michael.

The subjects of the "documentary" - James Safechuck and Wade Robson - who have come forward now, have absolutely zero credibility and the courts have already assessed that no rational person could believe that Robson is telling the truth.

With no facts, no credible witnesses, no evidence, the film is a hurtful falsehood.

Robson at the 2005 trial gave unequivocal sworn testimony that there was no inappropriate behaviour or abuse and continued to praise and defend Michael against the allegations. Then, years later in 2012, Robson claimed he was sexually abused."

Michael Jackson Fans React To Shocking Allegations In ‘Leaving Neverland’. 03-03-'19

Leaving NeverlandMichael Jackson fans were shocked after watching the HBO documentary 'Leaving Neverland' on Sunday night.

According to People Magazine, 'Leaving Neverland' sparked a huge reaction from fans of Michael Jackson online and started a debate about whether or not the King of Pop really did the horrible crimes that he is being accused of in the documentary.

In the film, Wade Robson and James Safechuck claim that Jackson had sexually abused them when they were children. Meanwhile, the Jackson estate is suing HBO and calling the documentary a rehashing of discredited information.

The reaction on social media was overwhelming, with viewers on both sides of the debate weighing in with their opinions on Michael, Wade, James, and the stunning allegations the men have made against the late singer.

While many of Jackson’s loyal fans still defend him as misunderstood to this day, many viewers spoke out in disgust and disbelief over the contents of the documentary, throwing their support to Robson and Safechuck while criticizing their parents and the other adults who allowed them to be in that situation as young boys.

“It’s amazing how brainwashed MJ fans are even now. I believe Wade & Jimmy. MJ was not a saint or God he was a fallible human being just as capable of evil as anyone else,” one viewer tweeted.

Actress Amber Tamblyn even weighed in on the documentary via her Twitter account, revealing the dangers that lurk in Hollywood for young boys and girls.

“As a former child actress, I can’t help but watch this documentary and think about how wrong it is for children to be put in the position of performing for the soul purpose of pleasing adults. It’s such a slippery, dangerous, often abusive slope,” Amber wrote.

Meanwhile, others were upset about the documentary’s timing, revealing that it seemed unfair to come out with the foul and disturbing details of the alleged sexual abuse when Michael Jackson isn’t alive to explain or defend himself against the allegations.

Although Robson and Safechuck had denied being molested by Jackson in the past, they are both now claiming that Michael sexually abused them for years when they were very young.

Robson even appeared at Jackson’s 2005 sexual abuse trial in defense of the singer, who was later acquitted of charges. The denial has often led some to question the motives and truth behind Wade and James’ stories.

Part one of 'Leaving Neverland' aired on HBO on Sunday, and part two will air on the network on Monday night.

What The Media Refuses To Tell You About Michael Jackson, 'Leaving Neverland' & The Allegations Of Child Molestation. 02-03- '19

Michael JacksonAuthor Damien Shields has posted an in-depth article on his website, about what the media are not telling you with regards to the documentary ‘Leaving Neverland’.

He provides a clear history of how we got to where we are today; chronicling allegations against Michael from the first time in 1993, to the trial of 2005, to ‘Leaving Neverland’ in 2019.

He details the recordings of Evan Chandler in 1993, who in secretly recorded phone calls said how he wanted to bring Michael Jackson and everyone around him down if he didn’t get the money he wanted ($20m) and also details the reason no charges were ever brought to Michael (a complete lack of evidence).

For those who may remember going through the 2005 trial, Damien brings it all back into our memories and the sheer absurdness of it, including the fact that timelines kept changing to fit a particular narrative and the crazy accusations of being held hostage at Neverland.

Finally he sums up everything Michael has gone through with regards to FBI investigations, raids on his home, strip searches, a trial and how of course through all of this, nothing illegal has been found. Then he compares that to the litigation that both Wade Robson and Jimmy Safechuck are taking against Michael’s Estate (plus the fact they owe the Estate money), how they’ve testified under oath and spoke numerous times in support of Michael and how their timelines have also changed dramatically as they’ve retold their lies.

Damien’s article is a great source to refresh your memory on Michael’s history and arm yourself with facts when talking to others.

Message From Michael’s Estate. 03-03-'19

Michael’s Estate has released the following message:

When we first learned of 'Leaving Neverland' on January 9 it was inconceivable to us, as it must have been to you, that a respected company like HBO was behind it. We assumed that HBO’s corporate values reflect a commitment to fairness, honesty and integrity.

Sadly, we were wrong. 'Leaving Neverland' is nothing short of a premeditated ambush, announced at the 11th hour at the Sundance Film Festival as part of a secretive two-year deception to escape scrutiny from Michael’s family, Estate, friends, associates and fans. HBO even tried to hide the names of the two accusers in announcing the film, only begrudgingly identifying them after our initial public statement revealed them to be two failed litigants we know well.

HBO’s goal is obvious: It wants to mute the voices of all who would speak up in defense of Michael Jackson and who know the lack of credibility of these allegations as well as the character of the individuals making them. Thanks to all of you, HBO and its filmmaker have been unable to prevent the harsh light they hoped to avoid from being directed at this film.

They do not want anyone noting that it is overwhelmingly one-sided. They do not want it known that the filmmaker, in two years, never so much as reached out to anyone other than his two subjects and their families, including those he maligned and was morally and ethically obligated to contact. Nor does HBO want anyone knowing that the subjects have repeatedly changed their stories, committed perjury and have financial motives hidden from the public. Rather, HBO hopes to sneak 'Leaving Neverland' by any rigorous scrutiny of facts and credibility that it should have demanded of its filmmaker. But your tenacious passion to defend Michael in the face of such dishonesty pierced HBO’s lack of transparency. It is inspiring and heartwarming, and we are grateful to all of you.

Most important, HBO and its partner Channel 4, want to deflect attention from the fact that it is attacking an innocent man who is no longer with us to defend himself and that they can do this only because they cannot be held legally responsible for defaming a deceased person. The refrain from HBO continues to be that fairness is irrelevant while adding the disingenuous and absurd claim that its film is not about Michael Jackson. Let’s be clear: it is entirely about Michael Jackson. The same Michael Jackson who had his day in court on accusations just like these 14 years ago and was declared innocent unanimously on all counts by a sophisticated jury.

But in HBO’s court, there is no jury, no opportunity to cross examine witnesses and no defense; just a predetermined conviction of an innocent man by an intentionally lurid filmmaker who declared himself the final judge and jury. And rather than let viewers weigh all the evidence and decide for themselves if the subjects are telling the truth or lying, HBO forces the filmmaker’s storyline down every viewer’s throat, allowing no time in four hours of viewing for even a scintilla of the volumes of conflicting evidence.

Michael Jackson suffered during his life through a malicious spotlight no artist of his generation was forced to endure. As James Baldwin prophetically wrote in 1985, when Michael was coming off the global phenomenon that was 'Thriller', “The Michael Jackson cacophony is fascinating in that it is not about Jackson at all. I hope he has the good sense to know it and the good fortune to snatch his life out of the jaws of a carnivorous success. He will not swiftly be forgiven for having turned so many tables, for he damn sure grabbed the brass ring, and the man who broke the bank at Monte Carlo has nothing on Michael.”

Sadly, his children have had to repeatedly endure the additional pain of these lurid tabloid tales after losing their father, be it during the criminal trial of the man responsible for his death or the claims of the two individuals in this film. While the press has treated the allegations in this film as fresh and new, in truth these individuals have been making these same salacious and false accusations in the media for six years, more than half of the time Michael has been deceased. But having hijacked HBO’s credibility, what they have now is just a louder platform, a soundtrack, drone shots, skillful editing and a multimillion-dollar marketing budget. What they can’t buy is the truth. Facts don’t lie; people do.

In the six years since these false allegations were first made, Michael’s music and his legacy thrived for a simple reason: you can’t silence Michael Jackson. His genius and artistry are timeless, and his resilience prevails. We will continue to fight the meritless claims of his accusers because he is innocent. His legacy is stronger than two individuals seeking hundreds of millions of dollars after defending him for years and whose similar epiphanies raise countless questions about their timing and motives. Their repeated dishonesty such as committing perjury and hiding evidence says everything about their credibility that four hours of 'Leaving Neverland' goes out of its way to hide.

Finally, it’s important to remember what Michael said himself in 1994 when he was invited to the NAACP Image Awards. At that time, the relentless persecution that would haunt him the rest of his life had started. In addressing the gathering, he went out of his way to note the right all of us have to the presumption of innocence.

“I never really took the time to understand the importance of that ideal until now,” Michael said, “until I became the victim of false allegations, and the willingness of others to believe and exploit the worst before they have a chance to hear the truth. Because not only am I presumed to be innocent, I am innocent. – And I know the truth will be my salvation.”

BBC Radio 2Michael Jackson Songs Dropped From Radio 2. 03-03-'19

BBC Radio 2 have apparently dropped Michael Jackson songs from its play lists ahead of the release of Channel 4 documentary 'Leaving Neverland', which details new child sex abuse claims.

According to The Times, BBC Radio 2 appears to have quietly dropped Jackson's music from its play lists and that a decision was made last week to not play any of his songs on the station.

The BBC said: “We consider each piece of music on its own merits and decisions what we play on different network are always made with relevant audiences and context in mind.”

The last Jackson song Radio 2 are believed to have played was his 1979 hit 'Rock With You', which was broadcast on Saturday 23 February.

The two-part documentary, which will air on Channel 4 in the UK on Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 March, features James Safechuck, 40, and Wade Robson, 36, who claim that as children they were groomed, sexually assaulted and raped by the pop star over a number of years.

Jackson’s family have denied the allegations in 'Leaving Neverland' and his estate is taking legal action against broadcasters HBO.

Meanwhile, the BBC has announced that it has commissioned its own film about the late pop star, to air later this year. 'Michael Jackson: The Rise And Fall' will take a look at the singer’s entire life and career.

It will be directed for BBC Two by film-maker Jacques Peretti – who has made three previous documentaries about Jackson – and will explore Jackson’s childhood in Gary, Indiana, in the Sixties, his time in family band The Jackson 5 and the heights of his solo music career, as well as his struggles with fame and the press, and the preparation for his 'This Is It' tour before his death.
