SonicSonic The Hedgehog Inspired By Michael Jackson. 01-05-'19

Sonic The Hedgehog is coming to the cinema in November 2019 with Jim Carrey.

As fans, we all know the link between the little speedy blue character and Michael Jackson and most specifically Michael Jackson’s relation with Sega!

Finding out that Michael Jackson probably wrote the music for Sonic 3 taken from 'Stranger In Moscow' is a given!

The film director followed up the 90’s trend and how Sonic was inspired by Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson’s influence can still be found in just about every Sonic game. When Sonic the Hedgehog was in development during the early 90's, Sega already had a relationship with the King of Pop, having developed and published the Mega Drive and Arcade versions of his 1990 beat-em’ up video game, 'Moonwalker'.

In a 2009 interview, Naoto Ohshima was asked why Sonic’s shoes have their Santa Claus coloring. Ohshima replied. “His shoes were inspired by the cover to Michael Jackson’s 'Bad', which contrasted heavily between white and red — that Santa Claus-type color. I also thought that red went well for a character who can run really fast, when his legs are spinning.”

We will have to wait till November 8 to see if the King of Pop was including in the film version of the famous video game! Until then, check out the trailer:

The Jacksons Support The Tribute “An Evening Honoring Michael Jackson” Hosted By Bo Saris & Special Guests. 01-05-'19

The Jacksons support the tribute “An Evening Honoring Michael Jackson” hosted by Bo Saris & special guests so make sure to grab your tickets! Dutch Jackson fans, the Jacksons support the tribute “An Evening Honoring Michael Jackson” from Bo Saris & special guests, so make sure you are there on 25 June in the Melkweg in Amsterdam!

In 2009, five days after the death of Michael Jackson, Dutch soul singer-songwriter Bo Saris, together with musicians, artists, managers, fan clubs, DJ's and sympathizers, organized an ode to this musical legend in Paradiso. This evening is borne in memory as well as all those involved and visitors as a memorable evening.

Now, ten years after the death of Michael Jackson, Boris thinks it is high time to organize a tribute together with musical guests that is dedicated to the legacy, the greatest source of inspiration and musical hero of his childhood: Michael Jackson.

Boris' love and support for Michael Jackson is undiminished. He therefore feels called upon to let this event take place, precisely now that so much commotion has arisen about the story that lies there, and apparently little attention has been paid to the people who are there otherwise.

Many planned initiatives and tributes have been canceled by the resulting commotion about the character of Michael Jackson and therefore Boris wants to draw attention to the people who are open to the facts about Michael Jackson and want to celebrate his life and legacy. So, Dutch fans of the King of Pop should not miss this special celebration!

The legendary brothers of Michael Jackson, Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon (original band members of the phenomenal Jackson 5 and The Jacksons), express their support for "An Evening Honoring Michael Jackson" in the Melkweg in June 25 in a video message Amsterdam. The brothers are on a world tour this year and still perform daily with a set list of hits from the Jackson 5, The Jacksons and Michael Jackson. On June 25, they too will be reflecting on the tenth anniversary of the death of their beloved brother with a concert in Paris, France.
