'Michael Jackson One' Future Unsure. 30-06-'20

Few weeks ago, we announced that Cirque Du Soleil 'Michael Jackson ONE' will re-open in July as tickets were on sale for those dates. However, it seems that all July dates have now been removed and the first opening will be August 1st.

While this is still unsure, the future of Cirque du Soleil is even more unsure as the company has filed for Bankruptcy Protection due to COVID-19.

The investors and debt holders are preparing to repurchase the company and inject over $300 million to restart the business after the company had to shut down all its shows and laid 95% of its staff.

MJ One
Combining dance, music and awe-inspiring visuals, 'Michael Jackson ONE' by Cirque du Soleil brings alive Jackson's creative genius in a new adventure.

The deal is with the supreme court and will be heard today and will determine the future of the company which 'Michael Jackson ONE' is part of.

This also depend on when the shows can resume.

We are hoping the deal is going through and that 'MJ ONE' can re-open as planned in August depending on the status of COVID-19 in the US.

We have contacted the Michael Jackson Estate for comment.

You can book your tickets here.

Brett Ratner Shares Stories And Pictures With Michael Jackson. 28-06-'20

Fans will know that Brett Ratner has spent many moments with the 'King of Pop'. He often shares stories, videos and pictures of personal moments with Michael Jackson.

Few days after June 25th marking the 11th year without Michael Jackson, Bret shared a nice and touching story on his instagram:

Michael was a huge fan of photography, especially Hollywood photography!

When I told Michael that I knew the legendary photographer #PhilStern he asked if I could bring him over his house to meet him. I was surprised because MJ never wanted to leave his house but he knew Phil had photographed #MarlonBrando and thought maybe he would have some snaps of him that he could see from when Marlon was young.

I had Phil surprise MJ with a life size photo he took of Brando and had it cut out on cardboard so it stood up that he gifted him with. We spent the entire afternoon with Phil in his house looking through all his archives and hearing his stories behind each photo.

Michael and Phil Stern
Michael spent the afternoon at photographer Phil Stern's house. Looking at all of his files and listening to his stories behind each photo.

Phil was not only a great photographer but had an incredible sense of humor and was one of the greatest raconteurs I ever met. MJ loved him and bought dozens of photos from the glory days of Hollywood from Phil on that visit. Phil was happy and MJ couldn't of been happier that day and was especially happy about the gift Phil gave him. Michael put it in front of his bed so he could see Marlon every night before he went to sleep and when he woke up. It's the little things that matter the most. I'm so grateful to have spent so much time with these two amazing artists…. G-d bless them and may they both Rest In Peace! p.s.

At one point a bird flew into Phil's back yard and Michael got some nuts and started feeding the bird from his hand and after the bird left he left some peanuts on the table for him just in case he returned. He loved animals so much. Notice that Phil was wearing his Rush hat for me that day!!! He had taken the greatest photos of me, Jackie and Chris on the set of 'Rush Hour' so I gave him that hat as a thank you!

Phil was in his 80s in these photos and years later he asked me to host his 95th birthday at the VA hospital which was his last. Miss them both very much!

Michael Jackson's Neverland As Multi-Million Dollar Mansion Faces Demolition. 28-06-'20

Neverland RanchMichael Jackson's Neverland mansion has been empty since his sudden death in 2009.

The 'King of Pop's' troubled past has made the estate sit quietly for a number of years following some harrowing child abuse allegations against him following his passing.

The 2,700-acre property in Los Olivos, California faces demolition.

It's off the property market and unavailable to buyers.

Michael died aged 50 on June 25th, 2009.

Neverland was recently re-listed at this new "bargain" price after originally being put on the market for $100 million in 2015.

The late star resided at the property, set within 2,700 acres of land, for 15 years.

It's official name is Sycamore Valley Ranch but he renamed it Neverland after the homeland of character Peter Pan who he loved.

The grand property was designed by Robert Altevers for William Bone and built in 1982.

Michael snapped up the estate in 1988 for an amount between $19.5 million and $30 million.

Michael allowed the cameras into his home in 2003 when he filmed Martin Bashir documentary 'Living With Michael Jackson'.

The estate was also heavily featured - through archive footage and home movies - and talked about on controversial documentary 'Leaving Neverland' which aired earlier this year.

His estate's regular visitors included children - and later in 2003 the singer was charged with child molesting, serving alcohol to a minor, conspiracy and kidnapping.

Following his arrest, police carried out several raids at the ranch which made the Jackson 5 star move out.

However Michael was found not guilty of all charges two years later.

The estate is a gated estate featuring six bedrooms, a pool house, sprawling immaculate gardens, and even a zoo.

It also has a four-acre lake, stunning mountain views and three guest houses.

The sprawling retreat was put on the market for a whopping $31 million exactly 10 years after Michael's death.

Its listing agency Compass said earlier this year they found potential buyers.

However the deal fell through in February with the seller Colony Capital, according to Business Insider.

The estate went up for sale in March but just two days later the controversial 'Leaving Neverland' documentary aired.

In the documentary, James Safechuck and Wade Robson claimed they were sexually abused as children by Michael.

Jackson's estate has repeatedly denied all allegations in the documentary.

Real estate expert Michael Corbett told Yahoo Entertainment at the time: "It was priced where it was in the beginning to capture a celebrity trophy buyer, someone that was willing to pay the extra money because it was Michael Jackson's.

"Unfortunately now, since there's been a lot of negative press, someone is probably not going to purchase it for that reason...now someone's going to buy it because it's an amazing piece of real estate."

If the property fails to sell in the near future, it will face demolition.

Rare Photos: When Michael Jackson Visited India. 26-06-'20

Indian Express released rare pictures of Michael Jackson to commemorate the 11th year of his passing.

The pictures were taken during Michael's visit in the country in November 1996 for the HIStory World Tour.

The news agent recalled that everyone wanted to meet the 'King of Pop', from politicians, Bollywood actors and singers.

Pictures with SP Hinduja (billionaire businessman), Gauri Khan (film producer), Shiv Sena (politician), Anupam Kher (actor) and Prabhudheva (dancer and choreographer) shows how demanding was the trip.

Michael arrived in Mumbai (30-10-1996)
Michael arrived in Mumbai to perform at a charity concert organized by 'Shiv Udyog Sena', an arm of the Shiv Sena, to help create jobs for over 2.7 lakh people in Maharashtra.

However, it was not just the fans who made a big deal out of the pop star. MJ himself took an extra step to make sure that his visit would be remembered for times to come. "He asked for a free-standing, full-length mirror in the room and he signed it at the time of his departure. He also signed a pillow slip from his room," the Wizcraft director had told The Indian Express.

"His moonwalk, in a gold and black suit, had girls gasping," said actor Prashant Raj at the time. "But it was his Thriller, a youth anthem then, that got everyone going," he added.

The paper recall that Michael's only demand was a free-standing, full length mirror which he signed just before departure with a pillow slip from his room.

Every Project Michael Jackson's Estate Has Released Since His Death. 25-06-'20

The Estate Of Michael Jackson
The Estate Of Michael Jackson

Don't stop 'til you get enough! Since Michael Jackson's death in June 2009, his estate has kept his legacy alive by treating fans to a number of posthumous projects.

Over the past decade-plus, the estate — which entertainment lawyer John Branca and music executive John McClain oversee — has released two albums of unreleased material in addition to creating a pair of Cirque du Soleil shows, among other ventures celebrating the 'King of Pop'.

Branca had worked with Jackson throughout the 1980s, guiding him through career highlights including his 'Thriller' music video and subsequent Bad tour. After the entertainer died at the age of 50, the attorney helped transform the massive debt that Jackson had accrued over time into a fortune. (The Associated Press reported in June 2019 that Jackson owed nearly $500 million when he died. His estate has since reportedly grossed nearly $2 billion.)

Although the money has continued to roll in, making Jackson out-earn most living artists, there have been plenty of controversies along the way. After his 2010 posthumous album, 'Michael', was released, the Grammy winner's mother, Katherine Jackson, children Prince Jackson and Paris Jackson, sister LaToya Jackson and other family members questioned the authenticity of the vocals on some songs. And nearly nine years later, two men, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, alleged in the HBO documentary 'Leaving Neverland' that they had been sexually abused by the late singer as children. Michael, who was tried and acquitted on separate molestation charges in 2005, maintained his innocence until his death.

Despite the scandal, Michael's popularity around the world has hardly wavered. In 2021, his estate plans to launch a Broadway musical featuring his biggest songs.

"Like one of those tropical storms, it's passed," Branca told the AP. "Michael Jackson is alive and well and living everywhere in the world."

Here below see every project Michael's estate has released since his death:

1. 'Michael Jackson's 'This Is It' (10-2009)
2. 'Michael Jackson: The Experience' (11-2010)
3. 'Michael' album (10-2010)
4. 'Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour' (10-2011)
5. 'Bad 25' album (09-2012)
6. 'Michael Jackson: One' (05-2013)
7. 'Xscape' album (05-2014)
8. 'Scream' album (09-2017)
9. 'MJ: The Musical' (03-2021)

The Reason Michael Jackson Was Banned From The City After Playing Glasgow Green. 23-06-'20

Dangerous TourHere's why the council told MJ to 'Beat It' after he performed in the city in 1992.

Michael Jackson brought his Dangerous Tour to the 'Haugh' on August 18, 1992 - yet plenty of those who were lucky enough to be among the sold out 35,000 strong audience will no doubt remember it like it was yesterday.

Whether it was seeing him pulling of the trick of suddenly disappearing and re-appearing, the lengthy motionless pause at the start after Jackson was catapulted onto the stage via a trapdoor in a sea of pyrotechnics, or when he threw his trademark black trilby hat into the audience, he had the fans in raptures from start to finish.

Add to that the moment he told the crowd "How ya' ... doin'. I love you" or when he suited up at the end as an astronaut and blasted himself on a jetpack over the audience (it was actually a stuntman) to the tune of 'MICHAEL JACKSON HAS LEFT THE STAGE!', he put on a spectacle the likes of which Glasgow had never seen.

And the gig was as mind-blowing and electrifying as you'd expect from a performer who at the that moment in time was the biggest and coolest pop star on the planet.

Tickets cost (a bargain) £21.50, with fans treated to spectacular renditions of some of his biggest hits, such as 'Wanna Be Startin' Somethin', 'Smooth Criminal', 'Billie Jean' and 'Beat It'.

It's no surprise that it was bootlegged and an audio recording of the whole show was available in the Barras Market shortly after the concert.

And so loud was the gig - apparently being heard over eight miles away from Glasgow Green - that the council received a high volume of complaints from members of the public living nearby.

Enough for them to (reportedly) tell the press that the star wouldn't be allowed back for any future concerts.

Jackson would do a total of 69 concert dates on the tour, including three dates at Wembley stadium, attracting more than three million fans to the shows before wrapping up in November the following year.

And while he never did perform again in Glasgow, he would return to Scotland in January of 1997 to view properties with a view to moving here, staying at Cameron House Hotel in Loch Lomond - where he (famously) got into the habit of ordering bowls of chicken soup at six in the morning.

Paris Jackson Says She Felt 'Pressure' To Follow Her Dad Michael's Music Career. 23-06-'20

As the kid of the 'King of Pop', isn't a surprise to hear that Michael Jackson's daughter Paris felt "pressure" to follow his music career and footsteps. In a trailer for her new Facebook Watch docuseries, 'Unfiltered: Paris Jackson and Gabriel Glenn', Paris opened up about what it was like to be the daughter of the 'Thriller' singer and why she's ready to step into the spotlight left behind by her dad.

"You see a kid grow up in the public eye and forget that I am a human," Paris said in the trailer. She continued, "I was against letting the world in because it wasn't a choice. I wasn't ready then. I feel like I'm ready now."

The trailer for the docuseries comes ahead of Paris' musical debut as one half of the band The Soundflowers, which consists of her and her boyfriend, Gabriel Glenn. The duo will release self-titled debut EP on June 23 with Imperial Records. In the docuseries, Paris talked about how she "felt pressure to follow in my dad's footsteps" and how she's always felt "compared to him and scrutinized."

However, she does have a support system to combat this doubt. The model said that her boyfriend "understands the pain that I've gone through in my life." After the two met, Paris remembers that they "just vibed and started making music" and that they related to each other because they're "the same level of damaged." She also noted that their connection is what made her realize that music is "what I was born to do."

"I want to influence self-acceptance, and courage," Paris said in the trailer. "I would love it if my music connects with someone and helps in some way." As for what fans can expect from The Soundflowers, Paris teased: "A Jackson doing folk-indie? Not what they expect."

David GestVast Memorabilia Collection Of David Gest To Be Sold At Auction. 22-06-'20

Items up for grabs have links to Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Al Green.

Cherished items of music and movie memorabilia gathered over many years by I'm a Celebrity star David Gest will be auctioned next month.

The music supremo was prompted to begin the vast collection thanks to his close friend Michael Jackson – an avid collector himself – who convinced him he was not buying "junk".

Such was its size that following his death in 2016 it filled three lock-up storage units in Liverpool, where he also had an apartment overlooking Sefton Park.

A signed photograph and dedication to David Gest from Michael Jackson.
Among the items being sold on behalf of his estate are signed items from his many showbiz friends including Jackson, Whitney Houston, Dionne Warwick, Al Green, Bette Davis, Jane Russell and John Mills.

Gest met Jackson when he was a teenager and his neighbour in Los Angeles's San Fernando Valley.

One of the auction lots is 26 pages of an unpublished book by Gest on Jackson typed on A4 paper, thought to be dated to 1984, with the opening lines: "The thought of writing a book about Michael Jackson never really crossed my mind until recently. For one, I hate to write, and secondly, so much has been written about Michael Jackson.

"Most of what has been written is untruths and lies, and it was a number of our mutual friends who suggested I write a book to help set the record straight."

Jackson was later accused of sexually abusing a 13-year-old boy – with similar allegations to follow – but Gest wrote in his 2007 autobiography Simply the Gest that he knew the singer "inside out" and was adamant he was innocent.

Other items on sale include his birth certificate, his high school graduation yearbook and an engraved Waterford Crystal display piece invitation to his wedding with singer Liza Minnelli in March 2002, who separated just 16 months later.

The ultimate David Gest personal collection will go on sale on July 8 and 9.

HIStory and Dangerous Petition'HIStory 25' And 'Dangerous 30' Release. 21-06-'20

We could have told you today about the brand new 'HIStory 25' merchandising that has just been launched on the official Michael Jackson website, but our preference will rather be for a petition which has been put online in order to ask the Estate to celebrate as they deserve, the 'HIStory' and 'Dangerous' albums.

In this petition launched on change.org by a man named Isaac Rowley.

As there have been many unanswered calls from the feet to the state, it is almost certain that this petition may not be of much use, but you are free to participate and let it be known.

We want to give Dangerous and HIStory the celebration albums they deserve and the estate won't listen so here is a petition. MJ claimed to have 120 songs recorded per album on top of saying he wanted a 25th anniversary album for each album. So the estate can listen to him just as we are. All we want is at least 8 demos or songs on a cd with remastered songs as well as remastered videos!

To sign this petition, it happens here.
