Michael Jackson's Son Prince Quotes The 'King Of Pop' In George Floyd Tribute. 04-06-'20

Prince JacksonPrince Jackson has quoted his dad Michael in a tribute to George Floyd as he urged his followers "Do not destroy one another. Do not harm or hurt one another. Stand up for one another."

Michael Jackson's son Prince has turned to his father's lyrics to find the words to describe his feelings in a tribute to George Floyd.

The 23-year-old son of the 'King of Pop' wrote a lengthy statement on Instagram in which he called for the end of 'systemic racism against the black community'.

Looking for the right response to the alleged murder of George by police in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Prince turned to dad Michael to provide the words that were required.

He included "'Beat me…Hate me…You can never break me.' — Michael Jackson," in the tribute to the 46-year-old father-of-one.

The lyric quote comes from Michael Jackson's 'They Don't Care About Us' which hit out at racism and police brutality in the 1995 hit.

Speaking to his 677,000 followers, Prince wrote after the MJ quote: "I’m going to speak from the heart, because that’s all I know how to do.

"We wouldn’t be here without black culture. Black culture is about strength. Black culture is about perseverance.

"Black culture is about resilience. Black culture is about a call for change. No more politicians’ promises. No more conversations.

"No more cycles of racism, abuse, and pain."

Prince continued, "The system needs to listen to the community’s cries - now. The system needs to change forever - now.

"There’s a lot the system can do to you, but when you give up, they win. Don’t let the system hold you down."

Prince went on to quote lauded Welsh poet Dylan Thomas writing: "Do not go gentle into that good night."

He continued to urge his followers: "No matter what they throw at us, let’s support each other and not let it break us.

"At the moment, the best way to heal and move forward is to help one another. We will always be stronger together."

Alongside a painting of George Floyd, Prince continued: "Black culture is American culture. Black community is American community. Black heritage is American heritage.

"Let’s stand behind that together. Do not destroy one another. Do not harm or hurt one another. Stand up for one another. Look out for one another. Love one another."

Prosecutors have filed a tougher charge against the police officer at the centre of the George Floyd case and charged three other officers.

The most serious charge was filed against Derek Chauvin, who was seen on video pressing his knee to Mr Floyd's neck and now must defend himself against an accusation of second-degree murder.

The three other officers at the scene - Thomas Lane, J Kueng and Tou Thao - were charged for the first time with aiding and abetting second-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.

All four officers were fired after the incident that has sparked protests across the globe.

BAFTABAFTA: Hypocrites, Opportunists And Liars! 04-06-'20

The BAFTA have just announced their list of Nominees for 2020 and it is with great regret but no surprise that 'Leaving Neverland' is nominated 3 times for "Director: Factual", "Editor: Factual" and "Factual Series".

It is really a disappointment that such institution will recognize such a monstrosity and call it "Factual". I guess we have a different definition for that word!

We have decided to write to the BAFTA and here it is:

Dear BAFTA,

As an institution of art and Entertainment, we look to you to guide us through the film and tv art. We look to you as a serious institution recognizing true artists and talents.

However, I cannot express how disappointed you have become since you are now guided by money and greed!

Factual Documentary: 'Leaving Neverland' – SURE! Did you at least look at the authenticity of those behind this film? Did you check if they were actually telling the truth or just making a movie to be a sensation and grabbing as much money as possible?

People around the world have spend the whole 2019 debunking this so called documentary. All the documents and proofs are available for you to see and proving that this is NOT a documentary but based on lies of 2 individuals and guided by the greed of an opportunistic director!

An opportunist director, Dan Reed that you have a clear affiliation to, as you have always rewarded him with awards.

'Leaving Neverland' is against other true documentaries which shows that those involved were jailed for the crimes they have perpetrated. 'Leaving Neverland' is going after a voiceless man that cannot prove his innocence.

And now you want to award those involved! Living in a "Fake News" society, where black men get judged without any proofs, BAFTA should have check the authenticity of this Dan Reed’s so called documentary.

But I guess your integrity is of no value to you. So it is clear that BAFTA has no value to me and to millions of people around the world!

Have fun in your little gathering and tapping each other on the back for doing a good job while true victims and oppressed people see you for what you are: hypocrites, opportunists and liars!

Protesters Sing 'They Don't Care About Us'. 04-06-'20

The protests in the US are growing strong and the unjustified death of George Floyd has now turned to protests against racial injustice in the country.

Many celebrities and companies have been supportive of the movement and they show their support last Tuesday (June 2) with #BlackOut.

Yesterday (June 3), a large crowd protested peacefully in DC and started singing Michael Jackson’s 'They Don’t Care About Us'.

This song was released 25 years ago and it seems that the issues have not changed since. Back in 1995, the album 'HIStory' and the song 'They Don’t Care About Us' was over seen by critics and even try to shut the song down and the “Prison” version of the video was even banned in the US.

Today, the song is finally heard. Today the song is a hymn for all oppressed and victims of injustice.
