Michael Jackson's Mother Plans To Give His Fortune To Animal Shelter? 30-11-'20

Katherine JacksonIs Michael Jackson's mother, Katherine Jackson, donating his fortune to an animal shelter? Gossip Cop looks into the suspicious story. Here's what we learned.

Michael Jackson's tragic passing left a hole in the music industry. Though it's been 11 years since the pop icon died, his legacy lives on and the sales from his music continue. But, according to the National Enquirer, the singer’s mother, Katherine, is looking to give her share of his estate to an animal shelter. The matriarch of the Jackson family was awarded 40% control of the pop star's assets upon his death, and the tabloid asserts the 90-year-old wants to give her portion to a Los Angeles area cat charity.

"Katherine feels Michael's money has only brought bad things to the family. She knows she won't be around much longer and wants to do some good for animals," an insider reveals. Another source discloses members of the Jackson family have tried to dissuade Katherine from squandering away her share. The supermarket tabloid goes on to note how the rest of the 'Billie Jean' singer's family wasn't included in his will.

Gossip Cop, however, can correct this bogus narrative. Katherine Jackson isn't donating her share of her late son's fortune to an animal shelter. A rep for the Jackson family has denied the phony article. While some other members of Michael Jackson's family weren't named as beneficiaries in his will, they also aren't keeping the matriarch from spending her money. The family suffered another loss, the passing of Joe Jackson, two years ago. Gossip Cop doesn't Katherine, let alone the rest of the family is worried about what she is doing with her portion since she is their last living parent. Additionally, this isn't the first time the Enquirer falsely reported about the Jackson family.

Three years ago, the paper contended Paris Jackson was joining Keeping Up with the Kardashians. According to the magazine, Kris Jenner was scheming to get the daughter of the 'King of Pop' to join the reality series to help boost the show's rating. Gossip Cop corrected the report when it came out. Jenner was never looking to get Jackson to join the show.

Last year, the same outlet alleged Paris was secretly marrying her then-boyfriend, Gabriel Glenn. Gossip Cop ran the report by a rep for the singer who dismissed the story. Plus, Paris Jackson and Glenn broke up months ago, making the narrative even more incorrect. Simply put, Gossip Cop doesn't think the tabloids have any real insight on the family of the later singer and shouldn’t be trusted.

Supreme Is Not That Supreme After All! 28-11-'20

Do you remember 'Supreme'? The Skateboard brand that became famous to just picture slam T-shirts and other apparels?

You do remember them teaming up with the Michael Jackson Estate in 2017 with a range of products having a picture of Michael on the set of the 'Billie Jean' video.

Well since they have teamed up with more artists and brands and this winter they have teamed up with skate label Antihero.

Antihero Skateboard is a brand of skateboards using offensive or weird designs.

Now knowing that, don't be surprised to what you are about to see! For the collaboration with Supreme, the range is called "ATMOSPHERE URINE" and using obviously some weird designs on T-shirts, hoodies and so on.

Supreme T-shirtOne design is a photoshopped picture of Michael Jackson during the "balcony incident".

While collaborations are, by definition, to bring 2 fan base together to multiply exposure and sales by 2 for both entities, this one just undo just that! Supreme did gain a lot with the Michael Jackson Estate's collaboration as the range sold out worldwide in just few days and got a worldwide exposure in the media (while I found it fascinating that such brand became so successful and priced their products so high by just lazily slamming a photo on a t-shirt but that is just my opinion…)

Like many MJ fans, I never heard of that brand before 2017 and we, fans, are a loyal breed. We will show support to those brands that give us MJ products! But if you stab us in the back, we will never forget! And this is the case here! While I understand the design was created to provoke, Supreme could have refused it in respect of the past collaboration with the Estate. Therefore, Supreme is now on Santa's naughty list!

'Target Michael Jackson: The Conspiracy To End The King Of Pop' Book Is Released. 20-11-'20

Target Michael Jackson: The Conspiracy To End The King Of Pop Book Cover'Target Michael Jackson: The Conspiracy To End The King Of Pop' book is released in the UK on November 20 and it is all about the death of Michael.

The newest and hidden vision of the 'KIng of Pop'! In the early morning of June 25, 2009, Michael Jackson's doctor enters his room and finds him out of breath. His pulse is barely detectable. Hours later his death is declared at UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center, and the news goes around the world.

The Michael Jackson case was "so famous that no one knows about it." That is the answer that the author gives to why she has been involved in the investigation of what could happen that night. The official version does not suit her. The results of her investigations make up this volume, where she lets us see Jackson's profile and the psychological autopsy she performs, under the strange mysteries of his death.

In this book, Calleja opens a meticulous investigation, in which the reader can solve at the same time the unknowns that remain unanswered ten years after his death: What if the doctor convicted of involuntary homicide was not the culprit of the death of Jackson? What if the homicide was not involuntary? Who is behind his death? Who did it benefit? Was he worth more dead than alive? And, fundamentally, who was really Michael Jackson?

From the hand of the author the reader will know the forensic testimonies, the federal, police and judicial evidence, the economic data and will see the images, the graphics and the unpublished documents in her archive. Everything at your disposal to give your verdict. A case that is still alive, a goal and a mystery that continues to move the world. Because Michael Jackson is - regardless of who it weighs - more news than ever.

HBO Asks Appeals Court To Toss Michael Jackson 'Leaving Neverland' Suit. 19-11-'20

HBOHBO urged an appeals court on Thursday to throw out a lawsuit brought by the Michael Jackson estate over the 'Leaving Neverland' documentary.

The estate sued HBO for $100 million, arguing that the network broke a 27-year-old promise not to disparage the late pop star by accusing him of child sexual abuse.

The estate has also argued that the subjects of the documentary — Wade Robson and James Safechuck — had a financial incentive to fabricate their allegations. Jackson died in 2009, and so HBO cannot be sued for defaming him. Instead, the estate has invoked a non-disparagement provision from a contract for a 1992 concert film from Jackson's Dangerous tour.

In September 2019, Judge George Wu sided with the Jackson estate, granting a request to take the case to arbitration. HBO appealed the ruling, claiming that the 'Leaving Neverland' dispute had nothing to do with the 1992 contract.

Theodore Boutrous, arguing for HBO, urged a three-judge panel of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals to overturn the lower court ruling on Thursday. He argued that the Jackson estate had filed the case as a "publicity stunt", and that HBO would never have given Jackson and his heirs a perpetual veto over the network's First Amendment rights.

"That is on its face absurd," Boutrous argued. "There is nothing that suggests HBO intended that."

Jonathan Steinsapir, arguing for the Jackson estate, countered that Jackson was the biggest star in the world at the time, and had the leverage to bargain for a strong non-disparagement provision.

Jackson "had been the subject of some extremely ridiculous tabloid reporting," Steinsapir said. "It's not crazy he would want that in an agreement."

The judges seemed somewhat open to Boutrous' argument that the 1992 contract is "far afield" from the 'Leaving Neverland' dispute.

"This is pretty remote, isn't it?" Judge Lawrence VanDyke asked Steinsapir.

But VanDyke also seemed inclined to leave the interpretation of the contract up to an arbitrator. Boutrous urged the panel instead to decide the case on its own.

"The court has a duty to interpret the contract to see if the dispute has its real substance in the contract," Boutrous argued. "Consent is crucial. There was no agreement to arbitrate."

Gordon KeithGordon Keith Dies At 81. 17-11-'20

Gordon Keith, the founder of Steeltown Records in Gary who discovered The Jackson 5, died at 81. He produced their 1968 first single, 'Big Boy'.

The news about this death has brought deep unhappiness to the hearts of Gordon Keith's friends, family and every concerned persons, and words cannot express how devastated they are at this difficult time of mourning their beloved one.

Two Jackson 5 singles were recorded for Steeltown at a South Chicago recording studio in 1967, 'Big Boy' and 'We Don't Have To Be Over 21'.

RIP Mr Gordon Keith.

From Moonwalk, the official biography of Michael Jackson:

Like dad, Mr. Keith was a factory worker who loved music. But there was also a foothold in recording and record production. His studio and his label were called Steeltown. Come to think of it, I'm sure Mr. Keith was just as excited as we are about making this record. His studio was right in the city center, and we went to his house early on a Sunday morning, just before my favorite TV show: "The Road Runner Show" Mr. Keith greeted us at the door and ushered us into his room. studio; he showed us a small glass cabin with a bunch of devices inside, and he explained to us what they were for; Now was not the time to fiddle with the machines, at least in this studio. I put a helmet on my ears, and with this strange thing running down my neck, I decided to look ready for anything.

Moonwalk, Michael Jackson, 1988.

RIP Legendary Recording Engineer Bruce Swedien, 86, Worked With Michael Jackson On Most Of His Hits. 17-11-'20

I am really sorry to hear the news that Bruce Swedien has died at age 86 from COVID. He was a brilliant recording engineer, the man who made those Michael Jackson-Quincy Jones hits happen. He was also a good friend to me when I was writing about Michael, especially right after Michael died and there was wild speculation about what was unreleased.

Condolences to Bruce's friends and family and fans, and there were many.

Siedah Garrett, who wrote 'Man In The Mirror', and sang 'I Just Can't Stop Loving You' with Michael on the 'Bad' album, wrote on Twitter: "No words to express how sad I am at losing my dear friend Bruce Swedien, who has been with me from the beginning of my career. Sending love, prayers & condolences to wife Bea, daughter Roberta, and to his fans around the world. Brucie, you will never, ever be gone from our hearts."

From 1956 through around 1970, Bruce worked mostly in jazz, with the likes of Art Blakey, Dinah Washington, Ramsey Lewis, and on Buddy Miles's classic 'Them Changes'. He was in the production booth for Muddy Waters, all those incredible The Chi-Lites records, Eddie Harris, and engineer for Natalie Cole's breakthrough album, 'Inseparable'. It's Bruce's name on Tyrone Davis's monster hit 'Turn Back The Hands Of Time'.

He started working with Quincy Jones in 1977 on the 'Roots' TV soundtrack. With Michael Jackson was involved in 'The Wiz' soundtrack in 78, and 1979 brought 'Off The Wall'. For most of the next 20 years or so, Bruce was wrapped with Michael, with Quincy's other projects, Patti Austin, James Ingram, George Benson, and all their hits. ('Give Me The Night' by George Benson, one of many outstanding records.)

Bad Recording Session Westlake Studios (01-1987)Michael Jackson 'Bad' recording session with Quincy Jones and Bruce Swedien at the Westlake Studios in Los Angeles, California. Recording took place between January 5th, 1987, and July 9th, 1987.

Bruce's talent lay in his sonics, the way he could make even a funk record sound warm. Those Michael Jackson songs people will dance to hearing just the opening, like 'Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough' or 'Wanna Be Startin' Somethin', somehow Bruce knew the magic ingredients. Working with Quincy Jones, they found a groove no one else had ever used, and every one felt deep in their souls.

I am so sorry this is the way things ended for Bruce. In June 2009, he and Frank DiLeo were the only ones I could turn to on a daily basis who knew anything true about Michael's work life. There was so much misinformation and garbage being floated in every tabloid. I would always go back to Bruce and ask, Are you sure about this? or that? He was. He was just incredibly helpful during a difficult time and I will never forget that.

Quincy Jones writes on Facebook: "I am absolutely devastated to learn the news that we lost my dear brother-in-arms, the legendary Bruce Swedien. There are not enough words to express how much Bruce meant to me…He was without question the absolute best engineer in the business, & for more than 70 years I wouldn't even think about going into a recording session unless I knew Bruce was behind the board. Along with the late great Rod Temperton, we reached heights that we could have never imagined & made history together. I have always said it’s no accident that more than four decades later no matter where I go in the world, in every club, like clockwork at the witching hour you hear 'Billie Jean', 'Beat It', 'Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' and 'Thriller'. That was the sonic genius of Bruce Swedien, & to this day I can hear artists trying to replicate him. I'm going to miss your presence every single day "Svensk", but I will cherish every moment we shared together laughin', lovin', livin' and givin'…Rest In Peace my brother."

Michael Jackson's Lawyer Claims Martin Bashir Documentary 'Set In Motion A Series Of Very Tragic Events' That Led To Michael's Death. 15-11-'20

Thomas Mesereau
Michael Jackson's lawyer Thomas Mesereau.

Michael Jackson's lawyer claimed the singer's documentary with Martin Bashir 'set in motion a series of very tragic events' which ultimately lead to his death in 2009.

Tom Mesereau defended Jackson during his child molestation trial in 2005, during which he was found not guilty on all 14 counts against him.

The lawyer, 70, claims in an exclusive interview with The Daily Telegraph that Jackson told him that Mr Bashir 'flattered' the singer.

He was told Mr Bashir promised Jackson a positive portrayal in the 2003 ITV documentary 'Living with Michael Jackson' - similar to Diana's portrayal in her interview with the journalist.

However the sensational programme attracted worldwide publicity after the star - who was notoriously sceptical of the press - admitted that he shared his bed with children.

Two years later, Jackson - who died in 2009 - faced trial for alleged child abuse and extortion but was cleared of all charges.

Mr Mesereau claims he 'always wondered why, of all the people he could have trusted to do a professional interview, he chose Mr Bashir'.

He added: 'What Michael told me was that Martin Bashir had gained his trust, and he was most impressed with his professed relationship with Princess Diana.'

Jackson said Mr Bashir lauded a close personal relationship with the princess and even claimed he was her most-trusted confidante, Mr Mesereau claims.

The lawyer claims Jackson told him 15 years ago that he thought if Diana trusted Mr Bashir, he could as well.

Mr Bashir - who is seriously ill with Covid-related complications - is facing scrutiny over doctored bank statements which the BBC has said Mr Bashir - who interviewed the royal in 1995 - admitted commissioning as he tried to gain access to the princess.

It is not the first time Mr Bashir's documentary about Michael Jackson has come under scrutiny.

Mr Bashir has faced claims he promised the singer that he would organise a trip for the pop star and the then UN Secretary General Kofi Annan to Africa to help children suffering from AIDS, according to court transcripts.

During the pop star's trial for alleged child abuse and extortion, Mr Bashir faced intense questioning over his conduct.

Citing California's 'shield law' which protects journalists who refuse to answer questions about their sources or newsgathering, Mr Bashir blanked a series of questions from Jackson's lawyer.

'You told him [Jackson] that you were going to arrange a meeting with Kofi Annan… and would plan a trip to Africa with Mr Jackson and Kofi Annan to help African children with AIDS?' asked the lawyer.

Asked by the judge if he wished to answer, Mr Bashir replied: 'I don't, your honour.'

In one reply - as reported in Cornwall Live - he said to the court: 'He asked for no conditions whatsoever and agreed that I was free to make the film with him.'

In 2006, Mr Bashir denied that he had given the singer any assurances. 'He wasn't promised anything,' he insisted.

The BBC and Martin Bashir have been approached for comment.

Michael JacksonMichael Jackson Has Generated £1.5BILLION Since His Death. 12-11-'20

Clever business deals by his executors have turned his estate's finances around after he left debts of almost £400million.

Money has continued rolling in for the 'King of Pop's three children despite a controversial documentary in which two former child pals accused him of long-term sex abuse.

Since Jackson's death aged 50 in 2009 his sales have pulled in £119million.

Rights, royalties and licensing deals from the singer's music — and from his Sony/ATV catalogue featuring classics by The Beatles — raked in £42.3million in 2017 alone.

Other merchandising deals and collaborations with companies like Cirque du Soleil were money spinners too, earning almost £12million.

An 80-page report by estate executors John Branca and John McClain said there was £250million kept under "Account Current Change in Cash/Liabilities Held in Business Entities."

His mother Katherine and three kids Prince, 23, Paris, 22, and Blanket, 18, banked £8.4million.

Under a court order, Jackson's nephew TJ remains the sole guardian of the children.

The ex-lead singer of 90s pop group 3T was recorded as having been on holiday with them four times in one year and was paid around £250,000.

The papers also show that Katherine and her grandchildren owe around £750,000 to the estate for money borrowed for a failed lawsuit against entertainment group AEG.

Rapper Daeshard Who Shot Music Video At Neverland Ranch Accused Of Trespassing. 09-11-'20

DaeshardMichael Jackson's famous Neverland Ranch is the backdrop for a new music video, but it's not for a posthumous MJ track ... it's an artist who allegedly snuck onto the property.

Here's the deal ... up-and-coming artist Daeshard shot his music video this summer, and while he tells us he had permission to be at Neverland Ranch, the folks who run the property say he's full of it.

MJ fans who came across Daeshard's video started to raise the alarm, saying there's no way someone would be approved to film a project at Neverland Ranch. We reached out to honchos at Colony Capital, which owns the ranch, and they tell us the video was NOT authorized.

Colony Capital claims the people who shot the video, including Daeshard, were trespassing and security asked them to leave, which they did.

Sources close to the situation tell us security spotted 3 individuals with 3 GoPro cameras and an iPhone shooting the video on July 23.

Our sources say security told them they were trespassing, and ordered them to erase the footage and get off the grounds. We're told security erased footage right in front of them and thought everything was erased before they left, and that's the only reason they didn't call the police.

But, Daeshard obviously didn't stop till he got enough ... footage. His music video was recently released, and very clearly shows him rapping all over the ranch.

He also posted a pic from the property ... so, it's not like he's trying to hide it.

Our sources claim the group intentionally hid some of the footage when confronted by security.

Daeshard insists he was granted permission to be there and to shoot his project, but he would not tell us who gave him the green light.

Another Jackson 5 Mural Gone In Gary Indiana. 06-11-'20

Last year, a Jackson 5 mural was destroyed due to construction development.

Another one of Gary's tribute mural to the home musical group is currently being demolished. It was painted by local artist Felix Maldonado and Maldonado's image on a brick building in the 600 block of Broadway was the largest in Northwest Indiana.

Last year, Meg Roman, executive director of the Miller Beach Arts and Creative District, said the organization owns the building, but hopes to demolish it when it raises enough funding.

"It's iconic. People take photos every day," she said of the mural. It's been up for four years, but she said the particle board surface is chipping and flaking, fading the mural.

The Jackson 5 MuralFelix Maldonado painted this massive Jackson 5 mural in downtown Gary at 561 Broadway Ave in October 2016.

She said the pending building demolition has nothing to do with allegations against Michael Jackson.

With COVID-19 and the financial state of the town, Gary is in a very bad shape! Last week, we reported that Michael's Elementary school was left in despair and this is the case for many other buildings in the city. Not to mention that reports show that people are fleeing the county due to the high unemployment rate, raise of criminal activity and poverty.

Gary is on the US list of becoming a ghost town unless authorities find a solution to save it!
