The JacksonsThe Jacksons will perform a tribute to their late brother Michael Jackson ahead of his birthday when they headline the Happy Days Festival this Saturday (August 28).

The 'I Want You Back' hitmakers will headline the festival the day before what would have been Michael's 63rd birthday on Sunday (August 29) and Tito Jackson has revealed that he and his siblings will be singing a selection of songs by the 'King of Pop' - who died in June 2009 at the age of 50 - to remember him ahead of the poignant date.

When asked if Michael - who first found fame with his family as the lead singer in the Jackson 5 - would be remembered during their set, Tito said: "Absolutely, it's going to be fun. We will sing songs from his albums, like 'Rock With You' and 'Can't Let You Get Away'.

"We miss him and we miss being on records on with him."

The concert is the first time The Jacksons will have been back on stage since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, and Tito insists those in attendance can expect all the hits from the Jackson 5's Motown days and their disco period.

'Michael Jackson: Inside His Mind' REELZFest Music Documentary. 25-08-'21

Michael Jackson: Inside His Mind DocumentaryMichael Jackson died over a decade ago, and yet the late 'King of Pop' remains one of the most notorious enigmas in entertainment history.

But the upcoming REELZFest music documentary, 'Michael Jackson: Inside His Mind', will answer disturbing questions about the motivations behind the performer's behaviors, addictions and relationships, before zeroing in on his allegedly abusive father, Joseph Jackson.

"Would he only use a belt?" journalist Michael Bashir asks the once-child star a 2003 interview.

"Why would you do this to me? No, more than a belt," Jackson replies reluctantly, lifting his hand up to his face so as to collect his thoughts.

"What else did he use to hit you with?" Bashir asks, prompting Jackson to reply emotionally, "Ironing cords, whatever was around."

It's believed that Jackson was so physically abused and emotionally starved by his father that he turned to audiences for approval. For a young Michael, the stage was the one place he could experience true love.

"I think the dynamic between [Michael] and Joseph skewed his idea of what love was," says Matthew Allen, music journalist and TV producer. "So when you're in the moment of being on stage, the audience is loving you, they're not judging you, they love you for who you are in that moment. And I can imagine that that's something that Michael really thrived on."

And the feeling was more than mutual.

As Epic Records General Manager Ron Alexenburg puts it, "You can see when certain people hit that stage – bang! – it was magic. Nothing like Michael."

Alexenburg signed Jackson in 1975, before the release of the pop star's multi-platinum albums, 'Thriller' and 'Off The Wall'.

Jackson went on to achieve global superstardom for decades to come, all while his eccentric personality morphed into bizarre and inexplicable behavior.

In the documentary, psychiatrist Dr. Bob Johnson will unpack Jackson's Pandora's box of childhood abuse, being one among many children, adolescent superstardom, untold riches, accusations and exile in the hope of better understanding the man who died behind the mask of plastic surgery, misinformation and mystery.

Johnson will attempt to answer: What led Michael to behave the way that he did with children? Did he realize how that would lead to his own self-destruction? Did his childhood (and adulthood) as an international star – where boundaries never existed – make him believe he was untouchable? Did that, in turn, delude him into believing that his own moral compass was always right? How did his past experiences shape his own disturbed present reality?

The REELZFest presentation of 'Michael Jackson: Inside His Mind' premieres on Thursday, August 26 at 9 PM ET/10 PM PT on REELZ.

Michael Jackson’s HIStory Statue From Best Still Hoping To Find A New Owner. 25-08-'21

MJ StatueAs you recall, the HIStory Statue based in Best, Netherland within a McDonald's carpark has been removed back in 2019 after the drama following the fake documentary 'Leaving Neverland'. It was set there for over 20 years before the removal.

Since then, the statue has been resting in a nearby town's warehouse waiting for a new living place.

The owner of the statue and McDonald Peter van Gelder was reluctant to remove it as "there is no hard evidence" of Michael Jackson being guilty of the accusations but the company holding the brand requested it to be removed.

The statue was first placed in a barn between the cities of Best and Liempde and then moved to Nuenen in a warehouse owned by van Gelder.

Back in 2019, van Gelder stated he wanted to donate the statue to the fans but he was misunderstood and received thousands of emails from fans asking for it.

"I've had a lot of emails from people who said: 'I want it'. But you can't just put it in your backyard or on the street side. I'm looking for a location in public space, where it's really possible."

However, finding a serious party for this is not easy, says van Gelder. According to him, a municipality in the west of the country showed interest in the image for a new neighbourhood in which the streets are named after pop stars. But that also led to nothing. Then they immediately say: 'That man is controversial'. And then I already know: 'That's going to be another difficult story.'

Yet Van Gelder is not giving up hope for the time being. "There only has to be one person who dares to do it," he says. "And in the meantime, it is safe and dry in the shed. Draining the image to the landfill is my honor. That's never going to happen."

Paul Anka Was 'Beyond Pissed' With Michael Jackson Over 'Stolen Tapes'. 24-08-'21

Paul AnkaPaul Anka was furious with Michael Jackson for "stealing" a recording of a song they wrote together at Anka's home studio in the early 1980s.

The 'Diana' crooner first met Jackson and his family in the 70s when they used to attend Anka's shows in Las Vegas.

"I got close to them," he told Page Six recently, adding that Jackson wanted to be on his 1983 album 'Walk A Fine Line', so they got together to collaborate on a song.

"I sent the tapes to Los Angeles for him to meet me there so we could put the rest of the band on. They called me from there a couple of days later and said, 'Mr. Jackson stole the tapes.'"

Anka said he was also told Jackson wouldn't go and record the song.

Flabbergasted, Anka says he immediately contacted his lawyers, who happened to also represent Jackson.

"I said, 'Guys, am I missing something? We've got a contract,'" Anka recalled. "'Well, Paul, you know he's got 'Thriller' out and it's taking off. He just doesn't want anything else out there, blah blah. And we can't find the contract.' I said 'What? OK, boys, I see who's more important. You're getting sued. I'm out of here.'"

Anka said they returned the tapes to him and he left the law firm.

"Michael went on to be what Michael is, deservedly so as an artist. He was a great artist," Anka conceded.

And that was the end of it, or so Anka thought.

In 2009, just before Jackson's sudden death, he released the song 'This Is It', which Anka immediately recognized as the song they penned together.

"I got ahold of the lawyers, who were the same two lawyers who screwed me in the beginning," he explained. "I said, 'Hey guys, that's my song with Michael. We have a problem here, boys. This ain't going to fly; you've got about two, three hours to fix this.'"

Anka added that Jackson "had copied the tape and put it in the drawer."

"It was very simple. I said, 'I want half of everything or it's not coming out.' And we got what we wanted."

Jackson's estate did not return our request for comment, but at the time, released a statement to the New York Times, "The song was co-written by the legendary Paul Anka."

Anka's rich catalog of publishing royalties also includes the Tom Jones hit 'She's A Lady', the English lyrics to the Frank Sinatra classic 'My Way' and the song that has earned him the most money over the years, the theme song for 'The Tonight Show'.

The 80-year-old singer/songwriter is still going strong with a new album, 'Making Memories', and a tour, which begins on Oct. 22.

LawsuitThe Lawsuit By 3 French Fan Clubs Dismissed. 23-08-'21

In 2019, 3 French Fan clubs took James Safechuck and Wade Robson to the French Justice and after multiple postponements due to COVID, the judge dismissed the case.

In its judgment of July 26, the Orleans court dismissed the summons filed by the three fan associations MJ COMMUNITY, MJ STREET and ON THE LINE against Wade Robson and James Safechuck.

In the reasons for its decision, the court explains that the applicants consider that the accusation of pedophilia brought by Messrs. James Safechuck and Wade Robson in the documentary 'Leaving Neverland' undermines the honor and consideration of Mr. Michael Jackson.

They seek compensation for the damage they have personally suffered as a result of the fault committed by these two witnesses, who, for them, defamed the artist whose memory and memory they maintain through their association.

However, the court specifies that on reading the statutes of these 3 associations and their corporate purpose, it should be noted that there is no legal link between the deceased and the claimants for compensation.

Indeed, article 34 paragraph 1 of the law of July 29, 1981 specifies that the applicant must have a link with the deceased, namely the living heirs, spouses or legatees. In this case, and this is what the court emphasizes, the 3 associations cannot claim to have this same link. Moreover, since the defamation supposes that its author intended to damage the honor or the consideration of these associations, they do not demonstrate that Messrs Safechuck and Robson intended to harm them.

The Orleans court therefore made its decision on the form and admissibility of the complaint and not on the fault of Messrs. James Safechuck and Wade Robson affecting the late Michael Jackson.

In the order of a judicial review, a judge first considers questions of form. It is only after declaring the claim admissible that he addresses the substantive issues. This is the reason why only the admissibility of the request of the 3 associations was judged. As this was inadmissible, the court ruled on nothing further and therefore did not judge the actions of Messrs. James Safechuck and Wade Robson.

Michael Jackson Fragrance Fraud Denied By Batley Designer Hrh Arfaq. 13-08-'21

Hrh ArfaqA fashion designer who claimed to own a bottle of perfume made by Michael Jackson worth £44m has appeared in court charged with fraud.

Hrh Arfaq, from Batley, West Yorkshire, said the intellectual rights to a fragrance by the singer were also his.

At Westminster Magistrates' Court he denied two counts of fraud, one count of possession of criminal property and one count of theft of a motor vehicle.

Mr Arfaq, 50, is due to appear at crown court in September.

Prosecutors said Mr Arfaq, who was granted bail, sold a bottle of the perfume to fellow designer Deborah Martinelli Bonavia for £370,000.

He is also accused of claiming he had a £48m deal to sell 200 Ghost brand bags to the royal family of Brunei.

The prosecution said he had told Russian socialite Natalia Rotenburg he had an agreement with a company to produce a pen with her personal branding.

He is accused of later stealing her Bentley convertible.

The prosecution also stated between August 2019 and July 2020 Mr Arfaq had driven a Ferrari Spider, worth £229,000, knowing or suspecting it was the proceeds of criminal conduct.

He attended court in person on Thursday a(August 12) longside his lawyer Graham Atkins, 54, who is charged with two counts of making articles for use in fraud.

Atkins, of Fleet Street, London, also denies the charges.

Arfaq was dressed in a black hoodie and a white T-shirt and spoke only to confirm his details and enter his plea of not guilty.

He also entered a not guilty plea and was bailed to appear at Inner London Crown Court on 9 September.

In November 2006 at the World Music Awards, Arfaq presented Michael Jackson with the V1 perfume. Michael Jackson wore V1 when he received the Diamond Award for which celebrated his most popular album 'Thriller' selling over 104 million copies worldwide.

Unfortunately we would not be able to buy it, as it is all sold out, because just as only 173 of the latter were ever made. Each of the 173 bottles costed $84,000 (£47,500.)

Arfaq has been posting about Michael Jackson for decade and even met few of the siblings of the 'King of Pop'.

Notorious Hollywood 'Fixer' Reveals To Tucker Carlson He Was Offered $500,000 For Dirt On Michael Jackson. 11-08-'21

Anthony Pellicano
Anthony Pellicano

Notorious Hollywood 'fixer' and private investigator Anthony Pellicano dished on the industry's power players and his wildest offers during a recent interview with Tucker Carlson.

Pellicano — who spent 16 years in federal prison for racketeering, wiretapping, conspiracy, and wire fraud charges — sat down with Carlson during a recent episode of his Fox Nation series to discuss his time as Hollywood's fixer.

The former private investigator shared that he became so wealthy while working in Hollywood because "everything that you could imagine going on went on."

He was able to get celebrities out of trouble without involving the police — a job that ultimately led to his own downfall in 2002.

"There were women who would do whatever they could to get next to a movie star or to make money or athletes, especially athletes. Sleep with them, become pregnant so they get an annuity. Or, you know, try to extort them for a large sum of money," he said — maintaining that there was "no such thing as the #MeToo movement" during that time in Hollywood.

Pellicano, who worked as a private investigator for Michael Jackson, also told Carlson that he was offered "$500,000 just to tell the truth about" the pop star, but turned the proposition down because he "won't rat on anybody, even someone who is deceased."

While he did spend 16 years in prison, Pellicano's dedication to loyalty has scored him some friends in high places, including Ron Meyer, former NBCUniversal Vice Chairman and co-founder of the dominant talent agency CAA.

Pellicano shared that Meyer, who was ousted from NBCUniversal following an extramarital affair with actor Charlotte Kirk, would send him a commissary every month throughout his sentence.

"You know, he did all kinds of shit. Yeah. He started out in the mailroom like a lot of other people did, but he became, you know, powerful agent. And then he took over, you know, Universal for 25 years. He is my brother," Pellicano added. "I can't I'm not closer to another male on the planet than I am him. He was there for me every single moment of the time that I was in, and there were other people too."
