MJ_GravityEyes On: Simone Dell’Aglio. 30-01-'21

Let’s go to Italy, Milan more specifically!

Simone Dell'Aglio is a graphist and has been recently noticed for his graphic designs of music stars such as John Lennon, Prince, George Michael and of course Michael Jackson!

In a recent interview for a national magazine, Simone said: "I wanted to pay tribute to the singers who populated my adolescence – Dell'Aglio tells us – these are the voices of my nineties. Some were at the peak of popularity, such as George Michael and Dolores O 'Riordan. This is my way of recognizing to them what they gave to me. I was closed and shy, I poured my whole world into music. My 10 year older brother had introduced me to the greats, from Whitney Houston to Michael Jackson , Prince and Bryan Adams, so my ratings were very varied."

He explained about his arts: "The photos had to be colored, in order to contrast with the black background with the reference to the atmosphere that is on stage when the singer is illuminated and everything around is very dark. That feeling of dramatic epiphany and effect I think is missing from all music lovers."

Great perspective on the icons we have lost throughout the years!

You can follow Simone on Instagram and facebook.

MJ Fan VS Sony/Estate Lawsuit: Sony Might Not Be Out Of Trouble. 30-01-'21

Michael CD Album CoverLast year, we thought that the Fan that is taking Sony, The Estate and the Cascios in court regarding the 3 fake songs on the posthumous album 'Michael', Vera Serova was losing the case.

But yesterday (January 29), Attorney General Becerra asked the state Supreme Court to reject Sony's interpretation of the First Amendment related to false advertising.

Sony's overly broad interpretation of the First Amendment fails to protect consumers by enabling companies from a wide array of industries to make false or misleading claims about their products and then declare ignorance of the misrepresentation.

Meaning that Sony might be held responsible for the 3 fake songs along with the Estate and the Cascios while last year, Sony was pretty much out of the law suite claiming they were not responsible for the fake songs as they did not record them.

California Attorney General Xavier Becerra called on the California Supreme Court today to stop companies like Sony from evading false-advertising laws. In an amicus brief filed in the case Serova v. Sony Music Entertainment, Attorney General Becerra asked the state Supreme Court to reject Sony's interpretation of the First Amendment related to false advertising. Sony's overly broad interpretation of the First Amendment fails to protect consumers by enabling companies from a wide array of industries to make false or misleading claims about their products and then declare ignorance of the misrepresentation.

"Truth in advertising is rooted in the most basic contract between a seller and consumer. Products must deliver on their claims. If someone buys an album from a recording artist, they should expect that the songs on the album were made by that artist unless noted otherwise," said Attorney General Becerra. "We must hold companies accountable to stand by their products. Companies have a First Amendment right to communicate, but their claims must be informed and accurate."

Serova v. Sony Music Entertainment was filed in 2014 as a class-action suit against Sony by a Michael Jackson fan alleging that three songs on Michael, a posthumous Michael Jackson album, weren't actually performed by the late entertainer. Sony and the Jackson estate dispute that allegation. But rather than giving the plaintiff her day in court, Sony moved to dismiss the lawsuit on First Amendment grounds. Sony argues that it can't be held liable because it didn't record the tracks itself; rather, it purchased them from other producers and didn't know whether or not the songs were actually performed by Jackson. Sony argues that even if Jackson didn’t sing the songs, purchasers who relied on that claim have no remedy under California false advertising laws.

Attorney General Becerra argues in the brief that Sony's argument would have broad, absurd consequences. It would mean that sellers could escape false-advertising liability any time they resold goods produced or manufactured by another. The requirement could also enable companies to make false claims against their competitors without consequence.

Attorney General Becerra is committed to protecting consumers against false advertising. In August 2020, he announced a $600,000 settlement with PresenceLearning, an online special education service provider, resolving allegations that the company engaged in false advertising and misrepresentations. In June 2020, he secured the largest consumer relief package ever obtained against a timeshare company in a settlement against Welk Resorts Inc. The settlement resolved allegations of false statements and misrepresentations made during high-pressure sales presentations for timeshare resort lodging. And in 2019, Attorney General Becerra filed a lawsuit against Paul Blanco's Good Car Company, alleging that the company engaged in false advertising, made false statements on credit applications, and deceived customers regarding add-on products and additional charges.

The Jacksons Late-Seventies Disco Albums To Be Expanded. 29-01-'21

Epic Records and Legacy Recordings, the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment, will release on February 12 expanded digital editions of the classic albums recorded by The Jacksons as they built on their Jackson 5 boy band origins and emerged as avatars of an R&B/pop revolution.

The group's 'The Jacksons' (1976), 'Goin' Places' (1977), and 'Destiny' (1978) will arrive digitally with the addition of bonus tracks. A double-LP edition of 'The Jacksons Live' (1981, recorded on the Triumph Tour) will be re-released on March 26 in honour of 'The Jacksons Live's 40th Anniversary.

The Jacksons was the group's first album for Epic after splitting with Motown, and it was their first without Jermaine, who was married to Motown founder Berry Gordy’s daughter Hazel and opted to stay on that label. His younger brother Randy then stepped into the mix. Despite the switch, the album was a hit, later certified gold, thanks to the hits 'Enjoy Yourself' and 'Show Me The Way You Go'. One of the albums deep cuts, 'Blue Away', was Michael Jackson's first-ever solo songwriting credit. The expanded edition of the album adds 7-inch and 12-inch mixes of the big hits, as well as a Dimitri From Paris re-edit of 'Living Together'.

'Goin' Places' didn’t fare as well on the charts, although the title track reached the Top 10 on the R&B chart. The new edition features the 7-inch mix of that track, as well as 'Find Me A Girl' and 'Even Though You're Gone'. 'Destiny', released a year later, was a bigger hit, later certified platinum. This was thanks to the disco hits 'Blame It On The Boogie' and 'Shake Your Body (Down To The Ground)', which presaged Michael Jackson's disco reinvention a year later on his 'Off The Wall' solo album. The expanded edition of 'Destiny' contains more singles mixes of the hits, as well as DJ and remixer John Luongo's disco mixes of the big hits.

John Branca Speaks About 'Leaving Neverland' And His Work With Michael Jackson. 28-01-'21

John BrancaIn a new interview for Music Business Worldwide, John Branca was contacted by phone (Due to COVID-19 and lockdown) for an exclusive interview to speak about his role a Music Industry Lawyer.

During the interview, Branca was depicted as one of the greatest Music Manager Lawyer in the Music Industry, representing a large catalogue of artists as a partner at law firm Ziffren Brittenham LLP and breaking deals in publishing and music rights.

He spoke about the Sony/ATV deals from 1995 to 2016 which made Michael Jackson number one on the highest Paid Dead Celebrities list.

Branca also mentioned that he worked with Michael since 'Off The Wall' and the new Sony Deal after his passing.

“When Michael tragically passed away in 2009, the deal with Sony – our distribution deal – was almost up. So we were in a position to renegotiate that deal to extend Sony’s term of rights to distribute Michael’s recordings, and then we renewed it again a few years later.

We did this primarily because of Rob Stringer who is one of the industry's great record executives and who has had a long relationship with Michael’s music, including overseeing the marketing and promotion of Michael's 'HIStory album'.

Branca also signed deals such as 'MJ ONE' and 'Immortal' by Cirque du Soleil, 'Bad 25' and 'MJ: The Musical'.

Michael JacksonMichael Is On Of The 60 Best Things To Come Out Of America. 27-01-'21

A survey of 2,000 British people was commissioned by a lottery company to showcase what the best things from the US!

And the result is in! With the Pandemic, no surprise that 'Netflix', 'Disney', 'Coca-Cola', 'McDonald' and 'Apple' are in the top 5 of the list of 60!

But Michael Jackson made it to the list at the 36 position! Ok! for us the fans, he should be closer to the first position but only 2,000 people were asked! So great result really! To see Michael Jackson in the list of what British people think what is the best things to come out of America, especially after over a year of 'Leaving Neverland' lies, this is showing that most people did not believe Dan Reed's BS!

Biggest Private Michael Jackson Memorabilla Collection For Sale. 16-01-'21

House Of Consultants As got a contract and has been commissioned to manage / sell Michael Jackson memorabilia owned by Richard Fossaas. So we thought that a fan club would be the smartest and best choice to promote this assignment.

Richard Fossaas started to collect Michael Jackson items back in 1988. Born and raised in Norway. Over the last 30 years he's been all over the world in the hunt for MJ items and bought EVERYTHING he came across. He spent everything he owed on MJ items and more, over the years he sold his cars, houses and even his business to invest and buy Michael Jackson items. He did tons of research of each item before he bought them. His plan over the years has always been to create a Michael Jackson museum.

In 2014, he moved to Miami, USA to continue this work. In 2015 he got a business partner for the MJ project and started to plan and promote the museum. Late 2016 he moved to Los Angeles to find a location for the museum. They found a spot at Hollywood Blvd that would have been perfect for MJ and the museum. The name would have been 'The Moonwalk Exhibition'. To that day he had managed to get around 30.000 items including a warehouse with vintage MJ merchandise they could sell at the museum. The museum store would have been filled with around 20.000 items and the museum it selfs with around 10.000 items.

Richard Fossaas
Richard Fossaas wants to sell his Michael Jackson collection for $ 5 million in 2014.

They had everything planned and designed for the location, including framing and displays for all the items...authentication and working with MJ's previous people, designers and managers, talking to family members etc.

The total investment was well over $2.200.000.- And the retail value is probably double if not more. But sadly in 2018 there was a new law in California that protects dead celebrities. Meaning you can’t make money on a celebrity’s name. Even though the museum wouldn’t have his name it would have been his items inside. After contacting the Michael Jackson estate they said they would not support a museum, and if any case they would claim 80% of the gross income. This made it impossible for them to continue this project and 90% of these items will now be put for sale by Richard. He's still a super fan and a collector and will keep the items that are precious to him, like the 'Billie Jean' costume.

I know a lot of MJ fans are mad at Richard because he have vacuumed the marked for items for years, but he's intentions was good, it was so all the fans could enjoy them together at one place. Sadly now he is selling almost all of it and now finally they will be all spread around again.

Richard's vision is that someone with a same big heat for MJ takes over the whole collection.

This is the ultimate goldmine for MJ fans with deep pockets and a big heart.

Michael Jackon's 'Moonwalker' Sega Genesis Game To Be Offered At Auction. 13-01-'21

Michael Jackson's 'Moonwalker' - Sega Game that was released in 1990 in the USA are to be offered at Heritage Auctions.

Words cannot describe how thrilled they are to offer this practically immaculate copy of this rare game -- though, we'll certainly do our best! Finding a sealed copy of this game starring the 'King of Pop' is no easy feat, of course, but the difficulty in finding such a breathtaking copy is unimaginable. Even though clamshell cases are not as susceptible to damage as cardboard video game boxes, they are certainly not immune to cracking, splitting, and other various sorts of damage.

Moonwalker Sega Game
Michael Jackson's 'Moonwalker' - Wata 9.8 A++ Sealed, GEN Sega 1990 USA.

At the time of writing this description, Wata confirmed they have yet to grade another copy in this grade. We would suspect few copies have managed to be awarded a grade that's even close to this. Video game collectors, prepare to go toe-to-toe with the MJ fans on this very special game!

In 1996, Michael Jackson toured the world and came to India for his HIStory World Tour.

Deepak Bhatuse, Zee Media, Mumbai: A proposal will be tabled at the state cabinet meeting tomorrow to maintain the entertainment tax exemption granted to Wizcraft, which hosted Michael Jackson's show in Mumbai on November 1st, 1996. Therefore, after 23 years, this issue is coming up again. During the Shiv Sena-BJP alliance government, Michael Jackson's show was organized in Mumbai in 1996.

The show was organized by Wizcraft. The show was organized for the purpose of raising funds for Shiv Sena's Shiv Udyog Sena. At that time, Michael Jackson was shown to be a classical singer and the entertainment tax of Rs 3 crore 34 lakh (£342,000) was waived for this show.

Michael In India (30-11-1996)
Michael Jackson arrived in Mumbai to perform at a charity concert on the 1st November, organized by ‘Shiv Udyog Sena’, an arm of the Shiv Sena, to help create jobs for over 2.7 lakh people in Maharashtra. On arriving in Mumbai, Michael stopped his driver and spent 20 minutes talking to children playing at the crowded slums. He also entertained them a few minutes before proceeding into Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray’s residence.

However, a petition was filed in the High Court against this. Wizcraft has filed entertainment tax of Rs 3 crore 34 lakh (£342,000) in the court following a petition in the high court. The court also slammed the coalition government'' decision to waive the entertainment tax.

However, the final decision was given to the state government. Wizcraft had also applied to the state government for a refund. A proposal to return the entertainment tax to Wizcraft will be tabled at tomorrow's state cabinet meeting.

'A Real-Life Fairy Tale: Michael Jackson And Me' Book Is Released. 01-01-'21

A Real-Life Fairy Tale: Michael Jackson And Me Book CoverA CORK writer who had a deeply intimate friendship with 'King of Pop' Michael Jackson has written a book in an attempt to clear his name against what she calls the 'tsunami of lies' that tormented him.

'A Real-Life Fairy Tale: Michael Jackson And Me' book is a memoir by Irish fan Talitha Linehan, in which she describes seeing Michael perform at 17 HIStory concerts, meeting him at hotels and venues across Europe, the US, and Asia, spending a day with him at Neverland Valley, and becoming a daily presence around him during his final years. The book includes never-before-published photographs of Michael and Talitha, and messages he wrote to her, from her private collection.
"You're my fairy tale, Michael." "Oooh," said Michael, and he brushed my cheek with his hand, making me flutter. This was the moment, under a starry sky in Las Vegas, when Talitha Linehan told Michael Jackson how she’d viewed him since childhood, not just as a man but as a magical being.

It was a perception that never wavered, throughout hundreds of encounters she had with him over more than a decade, in public and in private, at venues and hotels across the world, inside his most famous home, Neverland Valley, and inside his final home, in Los Angeles.

In this deeply personal memoir, Talitha recalls a journey that began when she discovered Michael, while growing up in the Irish countryside, and that ended when she last spoke to him, at a rehearsal studio in LA, on the last night of his life.

By drawing on diary entries, she reveals the joy and heartache of loving and losing the most famous star on the planet, and a man she simply loves with all of her heart.

Fans of the star will relate to the emotional heart of Talitha's journey and gain new insight into the man behind the megastar, and his life, in public and in private, during his final years.

Mary Poppins 2: Did You Know Michael Jackson Was Being Considered?. 01-01-'21

Mary Poppins 2Before 'The Return Of Mary Poppins' could see the light of day, Disney fought for 54 years to have a sequel to her 'Mary Poppins' put into production. One version even involved ... Michael Jackson!

When Mary Poppins was released in February 1965 in France, the feature film attracted 1,720,000 spectators and in the United States, brought in 31 million dollars, largely reimbursing its production cost. Building on this tremendous success, Walt * felt himself growing wings and immediately wanted to launch a sequel to his feature film, worn by Julie Andrews and Dick van Dyke. Alas for him, P.L. Travers, the author of the novels Mary Poppins, dissatisfied with the finished product, and who had already caused enormous problems during the preparation of the first film, denies him this right.

Walt died in 1966 and the project of a 'Mary Poppins 2' disappeared for years, until the first half of the 1980s. At this time, Brian Sibley, writer of radio series for the BBC, began a correspondence and then a friendship with PL Travers and she authorizes him to write (under his meticulous control) a sequel to the 1964 film. Sibley comes into contact with the nephew of Walt Roy E. Disney (then the big boss of the Disney firm) who gives him his consent.

In writing, a balance is struck between the character of the novel and that of the first film, but the question arises as to who will play Mary. Julie Andrews was reportedly approached, to no avail. We would also have to find not a new Bert (the character having been deleted) but someone to play Bert's brother. It is during these phases of hesitation that Sibley remembers that one of the producers had suggested a certain ... Michael Jackson for the role of Bert's brother! It is true that his qualities as a dancer were no longer to be proven and his solo career, which had already started well with 'Off The Wall', then took off again with the release of his album 'Thriller'.
